Asked about gear oil

Asked about gear oil, was asked for what bike and the answer was we don't sell anything for BMW.
Crush washers and again was told we don't sell crush washers for BMW.
Was able to get all the oil I needed a short distance away and with the crush washers thrown in. Pure ignorance

Unhappy with customer service instore…

Unhappy with customer service instore no good will and not very helpful. If i had of know only if you buy online, you can return and get refund I would have done that. But to my disappointment I decided to buy in store to support local business. Never again will i buy off Bike World. Bought a helmet on Friday brought it back on Tuesday when shop opened unused and with all tags and receipt. It was wrong helmet for what i needed. I wasn't told when I purchased, I couldn't return or exchange if I changed my mind. Very disappointed with Neil's total disregard for me now been left with helmet I can’t use. All he could say was he did have to take it back because I changed my mine. Such a bad way to conduce a business.

Good service.

Just purchased a new bike from Neill at Bikeworld. Very informative and helpful. Arranged to have the bike ready on Saturday as per my request, but when I rang during the week to see if they could have it ready for collection on Friday instead, due to my travel constraints, they were happy to facilitate. Lots of customers give poor reviews for very little reason as I know, being in a similar service industry, but don’t always go to the effort to compliment when things go well.! Hats off to both Neill and paolo for their service. Nice bike. Nice price. Nice service 👍

I purchased my first ever motorbike…

I purchased my first ever motorbike from Bikeworld. I was dealing with Paulo who could not have been more helpful.
He answered all my questions and queries and made the whole process so easy.
I had to delay the collection of the bike and this was not a problem.
The bike arrived serviced and with Two new tyres at the date and time that suited me.
To finish I am thoroughly delighted with my purchase.
Customer service from both Paulo and the rest of the staff was excellent.
Would highly recommend.
Best regards.
Michael Dunne.

Never again

Really bad experience with in the clothing department. Visited few times for gear shopping for my daughter after been spending 5000 grand for the bike....
Lady upstairs really unpleasant and not helpful at all considering we were not pros in that field..... After we bought the bike we went back to get the few bits including trousers. When asked the person in question all we were told to go and look through the pile of trousers as that's all we have for female she said. No assistance offered from female sales person to female customer ( my daughter).
On the day of bike purchase we asked for pin lock for the helmet we got while before we got the bike. We were told they don't have it. Few weeks later we ordered one, it was ordered and I went back to get it. Unlucky me, got the same lady at the till. I asked for the pin lock, I was given one but when i asked can she fit it for me all I was told that they dont really do that. She said,it would be different story if I got the helmet from them. She forgot we bought it in there. When told that helmet was bought from them she said that helmet visor is dirty, told that she don't have clean cloth to do clean the visor. When I made a comment about not so great treatment for considerably good customer taken we have spent at this stage over 6000 euro and we have not been looked after at all, here reply was, well when I spent 10000 for my stuff no one looked after me. So yes this was my last visit in there at least for gear shopping. Will be going back to Overlanders in Gory where I was looked after as I expected.
Hat's off to the lad downstairs who sold us the bike and was helpful and done exactly what he said he will do. Bike was delivered on time and thanks for that.

After reading the reviews I know I'm not the first person to be mistreated over by this company I bought my bike for 1850 euro 2 yrs ago worked fine for first year after that had to bring it to mechanic twice to get work done on it and now it won't start and when it did start the speed wasn't right in it at all I got my bike sent up to Dublin from cork and after a month bike world said they fixed it I paid them 570 euro to get it fixed as they told me it was working and they took it for a spin they said when I got it back it started drove it for a minute and broke down and wouldn't start they refused to give me my money money back and said they'd look at it again but would charge me more if anyone is thinking of buying a bike from bike world DEFINITELY DO NOT

Very happy with our experience and purchases

Here twice in the last month looking for gear and bikes as beginners. Guys were so helpful and professional. Ray is dead on gave us all the tips we needed as beginners and helped finding right bikes for us. Nikki and Larisa upstairs were both brilliant help. Both very knowledgeable and patient and helped us find the right gear for our needs. We were abit iffy having read the few negitive reviews online before first going but glad we gave them a chance we had a really positive experience with them!

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY!
Worst customer service I have experienced told me the store manager was test driving bikes then she told me he’s downstairs and when I went downstairs to the other man on the desk he told me he dosnt have to take the product back as there’s nothing wrong with it as it says free refunds within 14 days. Told me he’s not doing anything for me. Staff up stairs the First Lady I dealt with was snappy from the start telling me she’s not giving the refund. Anyone who works in this shop hasn’t a clue about the return policy

Withholding people deposits! Steer clear guys!

Ordered a new bike in February from them, my second brand new bike within a year not to mention all the other money I spent there…. They quoted mid to late April on delivery which was fine. In the meantime I was offered a bike in stock from another dealer so I took it with both hands as anyone would given the stock shortage-issues facing new bikes at the present time. I work in car sales myself so I’m fully aware.
When I emailed paulo to cancel the deal, I explained the situation very nicely and apologised for having to cancel… I also pointed out that I would be keeping my servicing with them moving forward and anything I needed would go through them as it always had…they never replied, I had to call them the next day, they were extremely standoffish and very rude to the point where I thought I had morphed into a dog overnight with how I was treated and spoken to. They said they would not be returning my deposit and they would be pursuing me for the full balance of the bike also to add insult to injury. I explained that I work in a similar business which they already knew from my numerous dealings with them in the past. I said I would go down the small claims route and get it back anyways down the road so why treat me this way when they know I would win?? Trying to shaft people out of their hard earned money.

Overall wouldn’t recommend, from speaking to many people around, past employees, other dealers, customer etc… Niall has a reputation all over the country for shafting people, customers, other bike shops you name it…. Employees the whole nine yards. Strange to me that someone of his age and being in the business as long as he has been would be so difficult especially knowing the history of my purchases and dealings in this store. He could probably do with some basic training around dealing with such issues.

1 star is generous here… the owner isn’t much better… summoned me to the office like a principal would do to a bold child where he attempted to offer me back my €2000 deposit less €500 for the “work that went in to the deal” laughable… one or two emails and a phone call maybe.

Crazy stuff you couldn’t make it up tbh… steer clear there are so many great bike shops out there who look after their customers and understand that circumstances change and people change their minds etc. something Bikeworld do not!

And at the end when they reluctantly agreed to give the deposit back (because they had no leg to stand on) they wrote me a brief email to ask for my Iban and told me and I quote “this will bring our current dealings and any future dealings to a conclusion” so I take it I’m barred for almost being shafted 🤣🤣🤣 brilliant stuff! Comedic!

Deplorable service!!!

Stay away from this shop

This shop didn't respect customer return policy. Expensive and overpriced. Megabikes or Cotters shop in Dubin is 100% more convenient and professional. I didn't recommend to spend 1 euro in this barrack

I Sent my Bike to this garage last…

I Sent my Bike to this garage last year. That was my worst nightmare. They had my bike for 6 months and could not find the problem. They were just guessing mabe this or mabe that. After 6 months they sent me a bill of 1000 euro for doing nothing on my Bike. No parts were put on the bike at all. They were charging me for their time of finding nothing. In the end they took my bike that I paid 5500 euro for in exchange for the bill of 1000 euro for a job that they didn't do. I lost my Motorbike to this garage because I could not pay a bill for a job that wasn't done. So I do not recommend this garage to anyone. I felt robbed by the people from Bikeworld and that's my honest opinion on how I feel

STAY AWAY !!!
Purchased new tyres for a Yamaha super tenere 1200,I collected the wheels without weights installed, the service manager said they were balanced,I reluctantly put them on the bike unfortunately got very bad vibes so I sent them to Cotters due to a dead end with bike world,Cotters balanced the wheels with weights installed and now perfect.
Just glad I wasn’t dealing with them over some expensive warranty issue.
