Needs fine tuning
We had one installed a few years ago. Its set at max and uses 800 kwh a year. The brochure said as little as 250 kwh a year. Were a household of 3. I just expected a much lower power consumption.
It matches the wattage stamped on the blowers. 2 pumps each 0,31 A 220 V running constantly is more than 3 kwh a day.
Its now been set to a lower setting and uses the expected power. Very pleased with the service from Biokube.

Dear Mr. Grum,
Thank you for your review – we’re sorry to hear about your experience.
What you describe suggests that the system might not be functioning correctly or is not configured properly. Have you been in contact with BioKube, and has a technician had a chance to inspect the unit? We would very much like to help and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us at +45 55 98 98 16 or email us at info@biokube.dk. We will make sure to send a technician to check the installation.
A 5 PE system for a standard household typically consumes only 350–450 kWh per year. This is supported both by our external tests and the experience from more than 5,500 systems installed in Denmark.
Please reach out to us – we’re here to make sure your system runs as efficiently as it should.
Best regards,
Peter, BioKube

Dear Mr. Grum,
You are absolutely right that wastewater discharge patterns can vary significantly between households – even those with the same number of family members. Differences in water consumption and wastewater concentration are natural, and this can indeed affect the energy consumption of the system.
That said, it remains a fact that the average electricity usage for BioKube’s systems in family homes typically falls within the 350–450 kWh range per year. The energy usage you are reporting, however, sounds unusually high – in fact, it exceeds the maximum consumption capacity of the blowers used in BioKube systems.
I would therefore like to escalate your case to our engineering department to investigate further and find a satisfactory solution for you. We want you to be just as satisfied with your treatment plant as the rest of our customers.
Could I kindly ask you to provide your system number and contact details – preferably by sending them to info@biokube.dk – so we can begin addressing your case immediately?
Best regards,
Peter, BioKube

Hi Christian, we would like to comment further on the the case but it is done most qualified if we can read the technical log of your treatment plant and talk to the technician who has serviced the plant. Then, together with BioKube's engineering team, we shall comment and action further. Knowing which excact plant we are talking about, will also allow us to look up which electrical components that are installed in your plant. New plants as of 2023 and forward are equipped with just one blower, some older versions has two or more blowers. As we wrote, your case is not representative for the many thousand plants we have installed and are servicing throughout Scandinavia. Therefore we naturally wish to invest time in understanding your case. The contact information you provided on Trustpilot, name, email and phone number does after an attempt in our CRM system, unfortunately not allow us to find your plant in our CRM system. Could I kindly ask you to forward the installation adress of the treatment plant, and/or the 4-5 digit plant identification number on an e-mail to info@biokube.dk, and we shall get back to you the soonest. Best regards, Peter
