Awful place they are blatant animal abusers who don't care about their animals and sell sick birds consistently to people.

Absolutely shocking...purchased a bird and a day later it died.
Went back with said bird and he replaced it...
I thought sound maybe just a one off and these things happen.
Well the replaced bird died 4 days later and again I went back to the shop to be told they only cover for the 1st 48 hours.
I am fuming and I WILL get this place closed down.

This place has tried to hide these reviews from being associated with them by changing their name on here to "Capital Painting". THIS IS FALSE. This is the review page for Birds4homes in Nottingham.

They sell sick/malnourished birds to customers, over charge, blame the customers for their death of a bird, they only cover the bird for 48 hours after purchase, extremely rude when addressing these types of situations & they offer NO REFUNDS.

This place is an absolute SCAM & they need SHUTTING DOWN!

DO NOT BE SWINDLED BY THESE SHADY INDIVIDUALS.

The service was a great experience as the seller was very professional and helpful. I can tell the parrot had been very well looked after by the owners because he adapted to his new environment very quickly. Also, his a lovely natured bird and appears to of built confidence very quickly. I'm so happy with my purchase and would recommend this seller to anyone who is looking into buying a parrot/conure. Once the parrot has settled in a bit more, I will definitely consider buying another one from this seller.

Do NOT buy a bird from Nottingham bird company,there on birds4homes,we bought a blue Indian ring neck parrot from them & 2 weeks later the bird has suddenly died,customer service is absolutely awful,won’t do anything,very rude,some people have no shame in robbing people

Picked up an olive Indian ringneck yesterday. The lady was brilliant. Full of knowledge and enthusiasm. Great service all birds looked in an amazing shape. Would definitely buy another bird. 💯 recommend

I walked in and there was already a dead bird in its cage, I informed a staff member and they wasn’t bothered! The place is dodgy, staff members kept avoiding questions & the birds looked petrified. Reading these 1 ⭐️ reviews do not surprise me!

Bought a blue fronted Amazon and it died suddenly after 1 month. This seller offers 48h insurance!!! Do not waste your money here

Would have zero star if I could of.

Ordered a baby Indian ringneck parakeet, also a black cage with stand, a wooden toy and a bag of food.
1st delivery was cancelled after I chased it a few times during the day, apparently busy with deliveries. And rebooked to the Sunday. However on the saturday the guy did call offering delivery sat evening. Happy days. He also mentioned sorry no black cage, just white, which I agreed to as I needed a cage!
Upon arrival he built cage at carside and was friendly. He said he would post the stand 1st class Monday. We came inside with everything. A carrier bag with food and toy. ( should of looked inside but too busy sorting bird out) he helped get bird into cage. I did comment thst the bird was bigger than I expected, and asked age again, he replied its very approximate but around 3-4 months, it's difficult to be exact. So ok. He left, very pleasant to deal with.
When I looked at toy I'd ordered, it was not the wooden parrot toy I paid for, I had 2 plastic crappy looking toys, 1 had ducks on it! I can ignore that I suppose. But now due to other issues it's all part of the problem. The next day I studied bird fully. Deffo not upto 4months old. At least a year if not older. Dark claws ( babies are pink) black on beak ( babies orange) eyes had orange circle around pupil ( babies just black) long tail ( babies short )
My bird luckily does look healthy.
I had my suspicions verified by a vet who agreed not the age advertised at all.

I was told cage base would be sent. Over a week later...nothing. so I text him on WhatsApp saying, I want the base or a part refund on the cage cost as I do not have what I paid for. Finally he replies he will do refund . 2 days of chasing and still no money in my account.
Today (21/6/23) I text again informing him of all the points I am not happy with... refund, bird not age advertised, toys not what I ordered.
I also mentioned seeing some reviews stating they had also had older birds delivered and bad customer service.
His reply was that I will get part cage refund.. takes 3 days and I should not make things up about the bird! I replied strongly that I was not making anything up, it's plain to see once id checked some things out and had a vet check! His reply was that I was sold a young bird and that's that!
I informed him if he did not rectify my complaint to my satisfaction... which I put forward.... a full refund on the bird, or a"baby" bird sent free of charges ( as that I'd what I was purchasing) then on Friday I will be reporting him to Trading Standards. As I have been scammed in my opinion, and mislead and what I paid for is not what I have received.

He has now blocked me! So looks like trading standards will be hearing from me on Friday.

DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP/MAN.
ALL GOOD GETTING YOUR MONEY. THEN EXPECT YOU TO BE BLIND AND YOU WONT CHECK THE BIRD THAT THEY SEND.

I advise anyone who has had issues with this place to report to Trading Standards. Make them listen.
They scam people who are putting trust in them. It's not on.

I ordered a female parrot from them which arrived at 10pm, later than what we have agreed on, on the phone which was between 2-4pm.

This was a surprised Father’s Day present and my Dad was so shocked/overjoyed he didn’t have time to check the parrot. The guy that delivered also had a male parrot which my Mum bought (on top of what I had already paid for, £95 + £65 delivery) and paid cash.

My Dad then noticed the next day that the female parrot was injured on one of her feet. And that the male parrot was a lot older. The guy said both were 3 months old. There’s a ring on the male parrot stating 2012 meaning this parrot is a lot older which shows when compared to the female parrot that had a 2023 ring.

The male parrot was not eating and his beak is very blunt. His head was always down and had no energy.

The guy tried to put the blame on us that we did something to the parrots. This was in a span of 24 hours! My Dad is willing to pay another £65 for delivery just to exchange the parrots but the guy refuses to as it had already been sold! He even said that he made £10 per bird and the rest goes to the breeder.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THESE PEOPLE. SCAM, SELLING ILL, INJURED BIRDS AND PROBABLY LIVING IN BAD CONDITIONS!

Bought a rainbow lorikeet from this shops wedsite they claimed the bird was a young bird who was hand tame but I’m afraid to say the poor bird his petrified of anyone who goes near his cage when he delivered the bird it came in a card box he just walk up to the cage and put it in took his money and left no advice nothing iv had the bird 2 weeks now and no change in it and we have tried everything to tray and bring the bird around but with no luck but hopefully we will bring the bird around anyway please be careful when buying a bird from them as they tell lies about the birds there are plenty off other shops that sell them wish I had used one myself DONT TRUST WHAT HE SAYS

I bought 2 love birds from this shop to then be told my birds are 2 years old and this man said they was 4-5 months old!! Had to go back and forth to get my money back i wouldn’t recommend.. very rude! The birds was also so frightened and I feel bad for letting them go back there but yeah... the owner was very nice at the start but when I confronted him he was super spiteful and ignorant😡 i didn’t understand these bad reviews when i first looked into this shop now I realise!!! This shop needs to go and the way they keep there birds is horrible... tiny cages, poo everywhere and the birds seem so stressed!! DONT GET ANIMALS FROM THIS SHOP DONT FUND IT

Bought a lovely Parrot. Great service, good communication. Gave us good information on various birds and helped us make the right choice. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic bird I had off them so much so I brought a second one. Very friendly and helpful before and after would 100% recommend
