This is an excellent place to trade in your gold/jewellery for cash. The proprietors are friendly and knowledgeable and their gold prices are transparently published and calculated on the day. I have been a number of times and have always felt fairly treated in respect of the items I took for sale. The 'cash' has also always been instantly transferred electronically so that you receive it before leaving the shop. Highly recommended and much better rates than others.

I took my nineteenth century american gold watch case to two companies; Lois Bullion and The Birmingham Gold Company. Lois Bullion insisted it was plated based on their "experts" inadequate knowledge of antique case markings but fortunately the Birmingham Gold Company properly tested it and found it was solid 13.2k (sadly not the 14k stamped). Even the winding stem was solid which is apparently rare. I accepted their offer, relieved that I got a second opinion from proper experts.

Called into the shop, very friendly staff, the days price on there internet page was the value offered, on agreement I was offered cash or BACS, the payment was almost instant into my bank account, great service

Sent over £900 of silver and gold by special delivery on Tuesday morning. Just after 9am Wednesday Lionel rang with quote to buy which was over my estimate and also paid extra to cover my postage. Money received Wednesday early pm.

Excellent service from start to finish. Completely transparent and worlds apart from a previous company (Post Gold for Cash) that I made the mistake of sending my items to (who shouldn’t be allowed to trade IMO).
