First time user of Bitaksi, and never again. Here's what happened.

I booked a regular taxi from Sisli to IST in the early hours and the driver did not match the one on the application. Immediate safety violation.

At the airport drop-off, there was an OTP error with the application when processing my payment. Shouldn't have been as I already had Turkcell as a provider. The driver then explained I would lose my 494 TL discount and have to pay the original fare including the toll charge [175 TL - fine!] and an additional card commission due to a manual application payment.

So my fare went from being 2201 TL incl. tolls and service charge and ended-up being 2991.45 for roughly a 30 minute journey.

Bitaksi 'finalised' my concerns in the app without further contact and were unresponsive to an email in Turkish about my concerns.

My advice - use this application at your own risk.

If you're travelling to the airport in the early AM, connect to a bus service which is much cheaper and reliable.

Scam, stay away

I’m really disappointed with my last experience. It’s completely unacceptable for an estimate to increase from 1780–2180 to 3180—how does that even happen?
On top of that, the driver kept circling near the destination, which felt like an attempt to increase the fare. I definitely won’t be using this service again, and I’ll be leaving a negative review to warn others.
I also expect a refund for this overcharge.

I used BiTaksi during my first trip to Istanbul and it was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had.
I booked a ride through the app with a clearly shown estimated price. However, once I got into the car, the driver started acting extremely shady and deliberately extended the route. By the end of the trip, the final price was almost DOUBLE the original estimate. This felt like a complete scam.
What made the situation even worse was the total lack of customer support. I filed a complaint through the app, tried calling their phone support, and even sent emails. I received absolutely NO response. No explanation, no apology, nothing. It honestly feels like this company built a system and spent money on marketing just to trap foreign tourists and ignore them when problems happen.
This service is dishonest, irresponsible, and completely unreliable. If you are a tourist visiting Istanbul for the first time, be extremely careful. I strongly recommend staying as far away from this app as possible unless you want to risk being overcharged with zero support or accountability.

Sadly this is the most misleading site for a taxi firm. You’re given an approx cost before booking your cab. However, the cost spirals out as your on a meter.! So they lure you in with a fake approx cost and then they sting you with full cost which is astronomical in Istanbul

we got stolen by the taxi driver , app said 1900-2000 tl and taxi driver canceled the ride when we arrived home and took 4218tl from us , will never use this app again, if you ar tourist it's a big danger!!!!
