TRIED TO SCAM ME

never ever do not use their services. i purchased bitcoin. the refused to send money to my own bitcoin wallet. i sent them screenshot of my wallet to prove that it belongs to me but it is not enough. what they want? THEY WANT TO SEE MY COLD WALLET WITH MONEY IN IT!!! They want access to my personal wallet. scammers. never use this one. avoid it.

Thinking of Bitbuy? Don't do it.

In order to be ready for a Bitcoin bounce I joined Bitbuy. In the meantime I added a few $$ to send out to help support our son on his charity work in Myanmar. This week when I tried to send funds I found the account was locked. Contacted the super slow support to find that they wanted to know who I was sending money to? and why? Two emails now, same questions, who are you sending money to? and why? So funds locked into the account, luckily not too much, and just pleased that Bitbuy showed their true side before a major purchase, glad I hadn't bought a few Bitcoin. Trust Pilot, you should have a minus star rating, unfortunately I could only go as low as 1 Star. Thinking of Crypto? Bitbuy is not the one to try. BEWARE.

Bitcoin - Payment Settlement Instruction

I required assistance / direction on how to complete the payment process for the sale of my bitcoin to my CAD $ account. Jeff O. at Bitbuy Support was very helpful and provided me with the necessary links so that I could successfully complete the transaction. His emails were sent in a very timely manner. I very much appreciated his support.

Customer support ghosts if you have a real problem……

Approx 6 weeks ago I had a strange bug occur on my account. An old trade from last January just reappeared and basically locked up $400 in cash funds I currently had loaded onto the platform. I promptly contacted the support team. Within a week they removed the old trade itself, but the $400 has remained locked. Its stuck in a state where I cannot buy crypto with it . Nor can I take the cash off the platform . Essentially my $400 is being taken HOSTAGE!

All the support team has responded with, is that they are “working on it” and appreciated my patience. Well my patience has ran out. After 6 weeks my funds are still locked and they are no longer responding to me. Just straight up ghosting me.

Be cautious with using this platform, I would not keep large amounts of cash on it. As they apparently can just take your cash hostage. And they also think it’s acceptable to ghost their customers. What kind of customer service is that ?

I never write negative reviews about companies, I like to give ample time for a company to fix the situation . Never have I had to resort to writing a review such as this one…

Update : after submitting this review the customer service immediately started responding to me and the customer experience was completely different and much improved . I updated my review from 1 star to 3 stars . However it still took close to another month to finally have the issue resolved. So in the end it was a little over 2 months to get this fixed.

Recently had a scammer call me claiming…

Recently had a scammer call me claiming to be from Upswing Trade. This company had Scammed me for $12500.00 and offered to return my money. Said to use BitBuy at a cost of $50.00 so they would have an account to return the money. Another scam, as soon as I deposited the $50.00 the money immediately disappeared without my consent.
BitBuy is not a reputable company and supports scammers. The positive reviews are not legit. Stay away from these guys they will steal your money!!

I did my first Wire Transfer on Tuesday…

I did my first Wire Transfer on Tuesday July 26 and got call from my bank and released. Today is Friday July 29th, still waiting waiting. It takes so long to process 15K. Very very dispointed!!!
Today is Monday Aug 1st, I am still waiting for my deposit!!! I really don't understand what's happening???

I have been using this company and have…

I have been using this company and have sent funds back and forth and all of the sudden I am not allowed to withdraw my funds. I was interigated and was made felt like my money was being held captive. I then had to sign a waiver that oliver from support sent through. I signed the document and agreed to the fact that I am doing the transaction on my own behalf. Was asked if I worked with other people which I said no to and was told that the crypto would be accredited back to my account balance and now it says I have zero balance. They deny you access even when you comply and then ghost you if you ask for it to be returned. For future reff dont work with them as they control your money .

Glitches and new fees

Started account with Bit Buy approximately 3 weeks ago and found it to be easy to navigate and start trading. Now I’m starting to have a couple of glitches, where I have done 2 buy orders. Got the notification that it was accepted, but the order was not posted in my history. So my money was held up in reserved for 2 days and had no way to cancel due to the fact that it was not posted in my history. This problem was eventually resolved, but there was no reimbursement of the loss potential I could have made. Now over the last couple of days, the fee structure seems to be changing with no consistency whatsoever. I did 2 transaction of similar value, one cost me $10 the other cost me $150. This was done on the same day a few hours apart. Put in an inquery to the company, was told that there was a new fee structure coming out soon and that I would be reimbursed. I have yet to see my refund. As there is no way to check my account/balance sheet or the company has no notified me of any credit as of yet. Yesterday, I did 2 transaction where I was buying and they charged me 10% of ethereum. One transaction was .105 of ETH and the second transaction was .046 of ETH. There seems to be a big discrepancy in the fee structure as the first one cost me approximately $200 whereas the other was only $80. Have put an inquery into company to explain this with no reply. And when you do your transaction buying or selling, it does not tell you what the fee rates are before the transaction. Now it seem that all my transaction are making the company a lot more money due to the new fee structures but even though I have made moderate gains in my transactions, my balance has decreased due to these new charges/fees.
Over the last 2 days have paid over 500$ in fees with most transactions under 10,000$
It looks like this new fee structure is not geared well for the small to moderate investor

This was published I did get a credit on the first fee of 150$ was credited with 100$ so paid 50$ for the transaction which is better but still 5 times higher than what it was only a few hours previous
Another update
Was informed with the new fee structure that all transactions are 1.5% to buy or sell up from the previous .5% so fees have been tripled and even though yesterday I made a modest increase of 700$ I paid 600$ in fees to do it and if I were to take my money and put in back to my own bank account I would have to pay another 1.5% fee so unless you are making more than 4.5% on your transactions you are loosing money and just generating more for the company and they are not paying us at all to work for them generating income

Unable to do PRO TRADE for 9 days

Unable to do PRO TRADE for 2 days now. Don't have any help contact me, only the email said the issues is not solve. I don't know if I am the only one with that issue. I lost money everyday because I am not able to do trading. It's bad because before I like the plateform, but now without help I will not recommand to use Bitbuy

They closed my account (I'm a company owner in Ontario) for no reason. I was forced to sell and withdraw in CADs within 5 business days.
