It is a simple and secure way to process payments in cryptocurrencies. To use BitPay, a business first needs to sign up for a BitPay account. Thats just nuts. I was strongly vouching for BitPay years back but now I just want our money out there and be done with it.

I have an old BitPay account that I haven’t used in a few years, and recently wanted to use it again. I no longer have the debit card from the account and just want a replacement card. I tried for several days by email, chat, and phone, and they all keep sending me to another support person or phone number. Terrible customer service and nobody can seem to help me get a replacement card. After reading all of these negative reviews I don’t think I want to use my account anymore

Do not use them to buy gift cards
Update: customer service took care of the issue and I guess it was a glitch due to phone verification that this gift card requires. So it wasn’t instant but it worked eventually. The card can be used for payments in US including PayPal and Apple Pay. That’s a great plus.
Do not use them to buy gift cards. After sending my bitcoins for Blinsky prepaid MasterCard , and waiting abs waiting I still did not receive it nor my bitcoins back. I cannot attach a picture here but it shows transaction under review up to 72 hours. Who needs this? They charged my bitcoins abs holding them while reviewing my purchase. What is there to review? My bitcoins? How can I scam them by sending my bitcoins to them? This is a bogus business practice. Do not use Bitpay to buy gift cards.

Just leave the site who uses bitpay
If any vendor use bitpay, just contact with the vendor to make payment directly, because bitpay is a trash. Their gateway is useless, unless it is not a scam. My last 3 payment was declined, it just crashed under the payment. They didn't even refund my first payment, because i used a very old email in the vendor where i wanted to pay, and i couldsn't even login to that mail service because it was already closed long ago, and it was much more complicated to change the mail in my vendor, than just keep that old email address as a user name. Obviously i could proof the payment (from where to where did i send), but they didn't care. Now i am waiting for the 3rd refund, but obviously bitpay is the most disgusting crypto payment gateway!

such an under-performing platform
such an under-performing platform, sending sometimes take ages and support can be inexistent...
Poor service. Slow support. Not recommended.
Support is slow to respond. Currently I'm doubtful if they even will respond at all. The one time they did respond, they were unhelpful and seemed interested in new business.

This is How They Operate:
First, you try to buy something from a vendor who uses Bitpay. After triple-checking the amount, you send your payment. The payment does not complete. You get an email from Bitpay saying you "underpaid" and have to open an account with them to get your money back. You have to provide ID info to open said account. That way, they steal both your money and your biometrics. Meanwhile, the merchant never received your payment and is apparently unable to help resolve the issue. It appears I just lost almost $3000 to these crooks.

Waste of time and money
Their payment gateway is trash. For last two days, I'm not able to make payment. Even after sending the bitcoin payment and blockchain showing 2 confirmations, bitpay invoice page is not even acknowledging the payment and is getting expired.
Support Takes 5 to 7 days to reply and that too they skip tickets by asking silly questions and have to wait another 5 7 days to get response. What a waste of time and money.
In response to BitPay's reply.
I'm sure you are non technical person. You have no idea what you are saying. Your response doesn't fit the problem I had. Simply, replying with a generic predefined message. Nothing better expected. Wish I could give 0 star now.

bitpay scam. not sending my money.
I am using the bitpay account for the first time and I had to make a purchase through a site. But I think they did something illegal. According to what they said, someone entered my account and made a request via another e-mail. nothing like that happened. but they say they refunded the amount I had to refund. but this is a lie. They informed me that they sent it to another account. but such a thing is not possible. If someone had access to my computer why would only the bitpay account be gone? There are credit cards. There are bank accounts and emails. they have all the access. this is a fraud. He is trying to keep money in his bitpay account.

the merchant i sent .23 eth via bitpay still has yet to receive it. Bitpay took the eth out of my wallet (have txn) within 1 minute and then it stayed on awaiting payment. I contacted bitpay 22 hrs ago without a response. DONT USE BITPAY. All i want is a refund OR my money hitting the merchant.

I transferred over $100 on LTC the the BitPay wallet and when I opened it up all my wallets where gone and now I can't find the code to get the wallet back that has over $100 in LTC. They said to use my 12 word code to restore my wallet but I have tried that with 2 codes I have and they both didn't work. I have been scammed.

DO NOT use Bitpay to settle real-world invoices.
DO NOT use Bitpay to settle real-world invoices.
Why not?
*they have a 1% transaction fee
*they have no anonymity (they require a photo ID and a facial scan)
*they have zero customer service (no email, no phone number, and no online chat!), except for their ticket system which can take days or a week for a response
*they have an archaic settlement system - if you somehow underpay an invoice by even a penny or by the exchange transaction fee, they will fail the payment, and may take days to refund your crypto! (which is fluctuating by the hour)
I went through all of this and lost ~$1500 in crypto because of these issues, so learn from my experience!

Defunct company or just doesn't care?
I have submitted all the paperwork and sensitive information to get a payment account set up. I completed my responsibilities TWO MONTHS ago and haven't heard a word back. I've followed up and created further tickets. Ghost company, which seems to match up with other reviews.

Scam
they never respond to their support messages and they stole my 2000$
Bitpay is simply the worst
Bitpay is simply the worst. I used them to receive small payments over the past several months and wondered why I never received a payout. Their response? You must accumulate at least .01 Bitcoin (around $420 in value at current rates) before they will release your funds. Until you achieve that balance level, they hold your money hostage.
There are MANY other crypto payment processors available who don't resort to this scam tactic. Don't waste your time with Bitpay.

Extremely bad company probably out of business. I created my account, uploaded all requested documents and review is pending from december 20 2021, so 1,5 month nobody even check my documents. I also sent emails many times to their customer support and no respond at all for days. I think they are out of business, so dont bother to do anything with them and find some different payment gateway for crypto which is more reliable. Very bad service, very very bad. I should check their reviews first before wasting my time.
UPDATE: After 10 days and many many emails, still no respond. Their business is probably closed and no longer operating. Please BEWARE. dont send them funds, verification documents, nothing. They are nonexist company. Probably even scam.
UPDATE2: Tried to contact them again, created new account, the same thing happened. They are 100% out of business, do not send them your IDs or crypto. This company is scam 10000%
