I am a bee keeper that got stung once…

I am a bee keeper that got stung once to often and got Anaphylaxis, the only way I could carry on after I ended up in Hospital was with a seriously protective suit. I also have some very nasty hives so it's been nerve racking carrying on. But I bought the Bee Pro, it's given me confidence to continue, it holds an Epi pen on the arm and they put a zip on the leg so I can inject myself if I get stung. A lot of the features like the strips to keep the hood taught and away from your face are veery good. Excellent customer service, good quality suit that has allowed me to carry on doing what I love. The only downfall is that the suit get's very hot to wear when it is warm as I was used to a multi layer ventilated one.

Not impressed with suit protection

Was expecting more protection with this suit I have worn it 3times and been stung 5 times back leg and arms this cost more than my other 2 suits put together I know keeping bees there’s every chance you will get stung that’s a fact I think sometimes paying for a name isn’t always the best policy

A well overdue review

A well overdue review. As bee farmers we literally live in a bee suit. We have had all the types and experience of competitors suits, but without doubt, the best bee suit out there is BJ Sherriffs Apiarist suit. We can say this from experience of having at least 8 of these suits on the go during the season, with full time wear and have done for 9 years so far.
Well done Sherriffs, the fit, quality, clear view veil everything is perfect. Other suits don't come close for comfort or feel. There's a big push from other manufacturers to ventilated suits recently, but having worn one of the expensive versions, they are not a patch on sherriffs. If you want a long lasting suit from a team dedicated to beekeepers look no further than sherriffs.

Worst customer service imaginable

Worst customer service imaginable.
The products are expensive so you don’t expect them to be of poor quality, but when you get it, check it thoroughly especially the stitching.

My bee suit hood developed a hole in it because the stitching of the mesh to the fabric was not sealed correctly & able to work itself loose. This is not funny as a 1 inch gap allows bees inside the hood and easily stinging you.

Having followed their “contact us” form on their web site the 1st week in June because they were shut for a week and repeated 2 more times since, because I work, they have yet to even attempt to get in touch.

If you are going to sell very expensive suits, you need to have a) good quality products and b) excellent customer service.

Failed on both counts

High quality bee suits and excellent service!

We bought the full size "Apiarist" suits last year and have been very impressed with the quality and fit of the suit. They give full protection and the veil gives excellent vision. So we bought two of the "Honey Rustler" suits recently. Again, the quality is excellent but I ordered the wrong size. When I rang to see if I could exchange it for a smaller size, the lady could not have been more helpful. She talked me through the returns procedure and I posted the suit back. Within a few days my new suit had arived and fits perfectly. Excellent service - thank you!
