Blackhorse Lane went above and beyond in a way you don’t forget. They carefully repaired a treasured pair of 1980s 501s that belonged to a close friend who died of AIDS, and then quietly refuse... See more

Had seen the factory when eating at slowburn, i liked the ethics behind the company and wanted to buy in ! Quinton at coal drop yard was so helpful, love the repairs for life !

Very impressed with the online and in-person customer service. I had an 'email when in stock' notification set up and as soon as what I wanted was back in I called and they reserved it in store. As for the purchase, unparalleled craftsmanship and quality. Thrilled.
Great product, great people
Great service, friendly staff, amazing jeans, very fast tailoring to length.
Took a week to really get comfortable, but I have not worn anything else since.

Service in store was good (though some people pushed in front of me to be served). Jeans are great and I feel awesome wearing them. Very much a long term product which is a great thing these days.

Friendly service darning my holed jeans. Just remember to launder them before sending them in for repair!
Second purchase, happy customer
This is my second purchase from Blackhorse Lane and I am very happy with how it is working out. Clearly these are premium jeans but the experience of trying and getting a personal fit and finish means I have a cut which works with my tall frame. Most jeans are just too short for me.
The lady who helped me this time could not have been more helpful, even visiting their other store to collect the right size for me so that it was ready when I went back a few days later. Thank you.
Both pairs of jeans look great, though at different stages in their evolution. I can see this becoming an annual ritual for me now.

Last weekend I tried and bought my first two pairs of jeans whilst at an event in Bowhill & Elliott (Norwich) advised by Illya . Today I collected them from the store in Coal Drops Yard in London .. I took my son (Very fussy) and bought him a pair and myself a third colouring the NW8 style .. the service was excellent , I was sorely tempted by the olive corduroy jacket that I saw but ko size .. later today we passed the new store in Berwick Street , they had the size but I managed to resist .. so got home and ordered it .. the product in this business is fabulous .. as an owner of a one off clothing business also I really can’t fault BHL !!
Do not purchase from this company, shop elsewhere.
I ordered a £120.00 jumper as a gift through a company called Buy Me Once. The goods were supplied and sent from Blackhorse Lane Ateliers. On receipt the jumper was found to be unclean; beautiful sweater, with a number of strands of long brown hair on it which were human and short black and white hairs. I removed most of them only to find the sweater had a single stitch holding one of the side splits together, so the sweater was faulty too.
I returned the item at my cost and asked for a refund of both the sweater and postage as l had been sent a faulty and soiled sweater; it was very unpleasant and unhygienic to receive an item with someone else’s hairs on it. The company refused to refund the postage cost for the item, stated there was no fault and offered no apology for sending an item to a customer that was not fit for purchase.
I then contacted the company l had ordered the jumper from; Buy Me Once, who were excellent in their customer service care. They contacted Blackhorse Lane Ateliers regarding my postage refund and they refused them too. Buy Me Once have apologised to me about the manner in which l have been treated by Blackhorse Lane Ateliers and have refunded the postage cost to me.
Thank you Buy Me Once, maybe your customer care team could give Blackhorse Lane Ateliers customer service team a few lessons on how to treat customers, and what is acceptable and unacceptable for customers to receive.
In view of my experience I would recommend not purchasing items from Blackhorse Lane Ateliers and shop elsewhere.

Couldn't recommend more
I never leave reviews but in this instance it would be wrong not to. The quality of the jeans is second to none. They are so good that I stopped buying elsewhere entirely. The same can be said of customer service. Always friendly and helpful, happy to support with returns and exchanges until the perfecg fit has been found. Through and through an exemplary business. I'm a customer for life now!!

although have to say that the service used for delivery was the worst. they charged about 200 USD!!
The best denim in town
The best denim in town. I can’t recommend Blackhorse Lane Atelier’s highly enough. Not just great quality jeans but fantastic after sales service. The staff go out of their way to ensure you’re completely satisfied with the fit of your chosen jeans.
Unique product
Great product, made here in East London; with genuine links to the William Morris Museum in Walthamstow (print on inside of pockets) make these designs special. Top advice and custom fitting on jeans length is unique. Nice people too. Highly recommended.
Great!
Friendly, excellent service, fantastic repair & adjustments to my jeans. Highly recommended.

I ordered my shirt on Tuesday and it arrived the next day,and on the invoice was a hand written note thanking me for the order. I thought this was a nice touch.
Great customer service and quality jeans
