Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 28 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Visitors frequently complained about high prices, expensive tickets, and poor product quality, often describing the seasonal displays as cheap and lacking the magical atmosphere of past years. Guests also noted severe overcrowding issues, long queues, and disappointing food options that negatively affected their overall visits. The lights are fantastic as ever. The house was poor as compared with previous visits, it held little appeal and appeared a value offer, not the premium magical time of previous years. There is... See more

Wonderful outing

We had passed the gates to this Estate many times and decided it was time to visit.
The admission has to be on line but this is pretty easy to do and a day ticket entitles you to have a year's entry.
The Palace itself is a wonderful collection of buildings and the formal gardens are outstanding. The lakes are a wonderful sight and the walled garden is worth a visit.
Plenty to see and do. Not cheap but given a year's pass a reasonable deal.

Not value for money

Not value for money. If you have seen one pile of Baroque stones then you have seen them all. Except for the Churchill interest there is not much to say about the building-just another dull big house. Grounds are lovely it seems you can fi d a public footpath for free and walk through.
Three of the eateries were closed and when we got back to the main cafe at 2pm there was massive queues and not even a cheese roll left. Pretty poor, considering the astronomical 30 quid a head.
Would not recommend.
