Poor service . Been with the company for over 6 years. Found owner patronising and rude - and they don't really do a good job . I'd look elsewhere.

never again!!! cheap rubbish and very angry.

plants came well packed with no damage to packaging that's why i gave a 1 star.
the lemon plant/standard had more leave growing up the truck than on the top. top to standard just two main branches with leaves, some leave part eaten and others blotchy.
orange tree in better condition but pot split down side due to roots coming through. in both cases standards are of a very poor quality.
had i realised they were part of You Garden i would never have purchased from Blooming direct.
will stick to The Citrus Centre in the future, would rather pay more and get quality.

Terrible customer service

I ordered a lemon and orange tree from Blooming Direct. The orange is flourishing but the lemon is dead. It was 44 days since delivery so they refused to do anything. And they have a guarantee that they will replace any hardy plant if it fails. But even though their own description said “winter hardy to -5c” they said it wasn’t hardy. Really bad customer service in my view. Will never shop there again.

A variable quality of service

Update : removed one star after a frustrating 3hr email exchange with customer services where I'm left feeling that they completely ignored my original email and then totally missed the point that I have no confidence in their ability to supply what I order and now don't trust anything they say.
--------------------
Had a couple of good small trial experiences with Blooming Direct and it's parent (YouGarden) so splashed out on a few plants and a grow kit.

Delivery was actually stress free from Yodel and the boxes looked in relatively good shape. However on opening the boxes, one set of plants were cut back to fit the packaging (one is currently suffering die back at the cuts) while another set were stuffed into the packaging and one suffered a break. Admittedly, a small tree cutting did arrive in good condition. The grow kit was not as advertised as they substituted the pots without notice.

No response from customer services after 2 weeks so prompted them again and got an email back to say they ran out of the advertised pots - even though I saw them on a buy one get one free offer before and after my delivery.

I wouldn't say they are a totally bad company as I have had good experiences when I've bought small quantities of promotional items. However, this experience has put me off mail order and I definitely wouldn't be making large purchases of plants again.

Would not recommend

Ordered plum tree , pomegranate, and gooseberry bush. All very poor and very small specimens. Found better condition plants at the same price at me local garden centre ( sadly after these arrived). Contacted then as the pear tree had mould and black spot and very few leaves. Was told to wipe the leaves!
Would not recommend this company - misleading and overpriced second rate plants.

Absolute conmen

£96 worth of bedding plants. More than 75% delivered dead (after 6 weeks not the promised 3 week delivery) on arrival, the remainder dead within a week. All had clearly been eaten or attacked by something. Won’t respond to emails and on a phone call laughed and said they wouldn’t refund as all the guarantee to supply is plants, doesn’t matter what condition. I cannot believe they are still in business. I urge people to report to trading standards.

Wish I’d read the reviews first!

Bought dwarf pomegranate plants £9.99 BOGOF. They arrived with half the compost tipped out of the pots, one is 9cm high, the other 12cm tall. Is that what they meant by dwarf?! Also purchased a hibiscus at full price of £9.99 and a grand 20cm tall with 2 weedy stems. I could have got one three times that size at local garden centre had they been open!
Have received an automated reply to my email, don’t expect to hear any more judging by the reviews on this site. How do they keep in business?

Don't waste your money

Bought 2 x24 lavender plugs via living social - seemed like a good deal - I want a whole lavender lawn area in the seating area of my garden to keep the mossies down.
I got notified they were being delivered so prepared the planting area. All hunky dory so far.
However, they all arrived covered in mould and dead. I took photos and sent to living social showing their plugs alongside the ones from Morgan Thompson that arrived on the same day, but was told that unless I could return them, no money back and as my Mac and HP printer don't talk, I couldn't print the address label needed.

Absolute waste of money - better to use Morgan Thompson tbh, much better quality plants from there...

Total rip off

Total rip off! Bought A pair of fountain bamboo Fargesia rufa plants from a Wowcher offer (first and last time). They arrived quite quickly but the quality is dreadful (half dead) and they are tiny. Total cost was £24.99 with the whopping £7.99 added for postage. Saw some locally, bigger, and could have bought them for half the price. Appalling rip off.

Terrible terrible terrible

Terrible terrible terrible. 4 plants brought - took 6 weeks to turn up. One completely dead, a 2nd close to it. They agreed a replacement after chasing them by phone and email for 2 weeks!! Chased 5 weeks later as it hadn’t arrived and told it had been cancelled as no longer in stock - no refund received and not even a courtesy email. These were a birthday gift too, so embarrassing. Truly shocking service, go elsewhere - plenty of wonderful plant delivery services available online at the moment. These are NOT IT!

Very slow customer service

Completely ignoring my emails and not even acknowledging them. I ordered 2 standard cupressus trees, one was fine and had a good head the second had a head a quarter of the size and looked stupid when put with the other either side of the doorway. Sent photos twice via website and by emailing direct. How long do I give them before I can make a claim back via Paypal? At least they arrived, given other reviewers experiences but after sales is important if they are sending out substandard goods.
As a p.s. after posting the above review I had an email message through apologising and a replacement for the substandard plant is being sent. It has actually been despatched already. Have only upgraded by one star to 3 because I still think that slow customer service is unacceptable despite the current situation.

Poor quality plants

After two ignored emails I rang asking were my order was after a two week wait. I was informed the order would be delivered within the next week. My 7 items were delivered over three days? I am not impressed with the plants, and I would not recommend this supplier.

Decide to do a review now as after…

Update. After complaining the plants were posted out again, I received tracking details and they duly arrived in very good condition. I have now updated my rating. Thank you for finally listening

Decide to do a review now as after numerous ignored emails and form filling online I got the phone to ring. Hanging on now for 7 minutes. Order accepted and delivery by the 1st June. No contact , no order, no response to emails. How to run a business? Need some lessons. Eventually got and answer- Yodel have lost it? Nobody thought to let me know or send out replacement. We will "wait and see attitide". New order being despatched. Watch this space..........

APPALLING COMPANY STAY AWAY

Placed an order a month ago, contacted customer services via email to advise I wanted to amend add another plant. they responded to my email after a few weeks to say they had put my order on hold until I paid the difference, I paid the difference the same day, had no acknowledgement of the payment ! 2 weeks later I received a letter telling me I owed them money! I called the number on the letter ( the letterhead was a different company “you garden”) the woman who answered couldn’t help as she had nothing to do with the company, apparently the line is for multiple companies and they just take payments! I found out after that it was a premium line and was charged £4 for 7 mins on phone. I eventually got a free phone number for the you garden and the woman wasn’t very helpful, quite rude, I Told her about the extra payment I had made via PayPal with reference number and she said, I will make a note, I asked when they will be sending my plants and her response was soon and she put the phone down before I could ask her to elaborate! I emailed them again and no response so yesterday I decided to start a case against them in PayPal , amazingly they answered that email from PayPal within an hour!! Unbelievable I got my full refund, but I am very angry and annoyed that they basically had my money for 1 month with no intention of sending out plants! The customer service is non existent. I really would advise not to use this company or the YOU GARDENS company either! Very disappointed as I got the website through gardeners world, you would expect theses companies to be vetted before advertising special offers that have no intention of ever being fulfilled. STAY RIGHT AWAY!

I had 2 standard fuchsias via the…

I had 2 standard fuchsias via the Wowcher scheme delivered about 2 months ago, and to be honest they arrived in good condition and we were really pleased with them. Unfortunately one snapped in high winds so I ordered a replacement direct with Blooming Direct. When this arrived is wasn't in a good state of health. The buds were brown and the stems black in places. Obviously had a traumatic journey evident by the ripped plastic around the plant and the amount of soil in the box. Emailed them with photos but no reply after 6 days so rang them. They didn't see that bothered just told me that I would get a full refund as they had no fushsia's left. After reading the reviews here I'm not sure if that will appear or not.
