Genuinely awful experience from start to finish.
We raised issues with the garden at the home demonstration, uneven ground and holes everywhere, and were told it would be sorted. Nearly a year later, it still hasn’t been.
The lawn was never properly done. It was just reseeded, and badly. The contractors did the absolute bare minimum. No proper levelling, no rolling, no real ground preparation, and the seed was not even raked in properly. The result is exactly what you would expect, patchy grass, large bare areas, and a garden that is still completely unusable.
Months of going back and forth and nothing has actually been fixed. Every time there is another excuse, usually blaming the weather, instead of anyone taking responsibility.
Communication has been poor throughout. We have had to chase constantly and still get no clear answers or proper plan. We have already asked for the lawn to be re-turfed properly because reseeding is clearly not working, but this is just being ignored.
We have effectively been left without a usable garden for the best part of a year. That is completely unacceptable.
Once they have your money, the attitude changes. The whole “family owned” image means nothing when the aftercare is this poor.
I have seen how other developers handle issues and this is nowhere near that standard. There is no urgency and no accountability.
At this point we just want it fixed properly.
Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before buying from Bloor Homes.

Be mindful when you review! Were you offered a gift voucher? I was...
The house, I must admit was okay, but plenty of niggles known to Bloor but ignored! floors dropping and blanks in toilet systems leaking due to cheap silicone used and so on....This becomes apparent after the 2 years warranty! So they will not deal,
Landscaping is absolutely rubbish. Trinity the maintenance company is run by a Bloor family member! So all those dead trees, bad hedges, finishing touches are never replaced/re planted......I've been in my home for 5 years and have always had 3 dead trees out of 5 . The so-called hedge between my private drive and public space has more holes than a member of parliament .....So security is an issue! They have been informed and have done nothing for an elderly, single female! I get lots of unwanted people and dogs invading my private space! Plenty of new builds out there now, just do your homework and good luck.

We visited Hazelton Meadow today without an appointment and were immediately impressed by the warm welcome we received. Sammy went above and beyond to provide us with all the information we needed. She was professional, knowledgeable and incredibly approachable throughout.
Despite some challenging questions, Sammy answered everything with confidence and clarity, making the whole experience both informative and enjoyable. As newcomers to new - build homes, we had been quite sceptical but after our visit today, our perspective has completely changed.
Sammy truly brought the Bloor Homes vision to life for us. If every Bloor office has someone like her, we’ll have no hesitation in choosing them.

We had a wonderful experience with Bloor. Both Emma and Reece were fantastic from beginning to end of the process, both communicated with us closely throughout and helped us with anything we needed. The house is beautiful and you can tell that care and attention is poured into everything they do.

We were buying what I expected to be the best house I'd ever own at The Arches in Ledbury, but when we visited in March to measure for curtains, we found that there had been a water leak from the toilet upstairs.
There was standing water in several of the bedrooms, bathroom and landing. Water coming through a hole the ceiling and walls in the kitchen below, and running out of a plug socket and down behind the worktop and units.
That was unfortunate, but I understand that things can go wrong. I asked for written confirmation that all water damaged plasterboard would be taken down and replaced, and that it would be properly dried out with a dehumidifier. They refused to put this in writing but assured me that it would all be done correctly.
Unfortunately when we went for our house demo a few weeks before moving, it was clear that this hadn't happened. Not only were there still water marks on the kitchen ceiling, the wet and damaged plaster had just been painted over. To dry the house out, it appears that they had just turned the heating up full and left it, so skirting boards and plaster had cracked in other rooms.
In addition there were multiple other examples of very poor build quality. In the lounge it was obvious where a square of the ceiling had been cut out and replaced badly, and there were visible channels in the plaster on both sides of the room. Kitchen plinths were badly fitted, and some of the carpentry looked like it had been done by a beaver. Doors had been cut short so that I could fit my hand underneath, and other bits of plasterwork had been badly repaired, unrelated to the water leak.
The person showing us round described it as the worst house demo he's ever done, and said that the people who'd worked on the house all deserved to be fired.
In addition, he mentioned that Bloor are actively negotiating to buy the field to the north of the current development, so everyone who paid a premium for a house at the edge with views across countryside may well to lose that in future and see it replaced with a building site.
As the view was a big selling point (mentioned repeatedly by the sales staff who said there were no plans for further expansion) and we had lost confidence in their build quality we had no choice but to drop out with a couple of weeks to go. Fortunately because of delays from their solicitors we'd not yet exchanged contracts. They refunded my reservation fee (though tried to say it was £500 and not £750) but I'm out of pocket for legal costs and had expended a huge amount of time and energy over this.
We had been looking forward to what should have been a great home and place to live, but feel upset and disappointed. There was a buyer for my home, and a chain of people all of whom have been inconvenienced by this as well.

We had an appointment with Nicola today at Newport vale and came away with a really positive experience. As a young couple and first-time buyers, we appreciated how welcoming she was and how clearly she explained everything. She provided plenty of helpful information and made the whole process feel very positive. We’d happily recommend her.

I genuinely can’t fault my experience so far with Bloor Homes at Poppyfields, and that is largely down to Sam. From the very beginning, she has been incredibly supportive, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile to help. No question has ever felt too small, and she has consistently taken the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, which has made a huge difference.
Sam’s fantastic sense of humour and warm personality have made what is typically a stressful process feel far more relaxed and enjoyable. She has a real talent for putting people at ease, and her professionalism combined with her friendly approach has made the entire experience feel seamless.
I’m truly grateful for her patience, guidance, and constant support throughout. She is a real credit to Bloor Homes, and honestly, every site would benefit from having a Sam!

The staff in the sales office, Damon & Julie made the whole experience fantastic, they understood our situation and needs fully. During the long process of selling our property they kept in touch, keeping us up to date with properties that were available and those coming up. They went out of their way to find the right property for us, giving us fantastic support and advice along the way.
They helped us through the purchase process, explaining all aspect of the property and paperwork and we were able to complete very quickly.
The Site Manager, Steve, was very helpful with our handover, explaining everything about the house that we needed to know and was quick to respond to any queries we had. The build quality is very good.
We absolutely love our new home and it's location and couldn't be happier with the whole process

Very pleased with the house after many happy years. Just very disappointed Bloor have not done their part to sort an urgent repair on a closed community foot bridge which has been unresolved for over a year

We had a very positive experience with Bloor Homes during our property search.
The team was always helpful, patient, and welcoming throughout the whole process. They took the time to show us different properties, answered all of our questions clearly, and guided us whenever we needed more information.
Although we ultimately decided to proceed with a different property, we really appreciated their support and the professional yet friendly approach they maintained at every stage.
Overall, a smooth and pleasant experience, and we would be happy to recommend their service to others.

As FTB, we naturally have a lot of questions, but Leigh and Angela have looked after us every step of the way so far. Leigh has answered every question without any judgement and has been incredibly patient and supportive throughout the process.
We first visited the development months ago for a previous phase, and when we returned recently, we were remembered, which made us feel really welcomed and valued as customers. That personal touch meant a lot to us.
We are still very early in the process, but the experience so far has made the beginning of our journey very pleasant, and we are excited for the next steps as we continue progressing towards purchasing with Bloor. Thank you both for making what can be a daunting process feel so much more manageable and positive!

We cannot praise the sales team at Bloor Homes (Felixstowe) highly enough. Tashya, Lauren and Luke have been absolutely outstanding from our very first enquiry. They have been friendly, helpful and professional throughout: providing informative weekly updates and keeping in regular contact every step of the way.
As we are relocating back to Suffolk from Cumbria, this support has been extremely helpful and reassuring. Nothing has been too much trouble.
We are now very excited to move into our beautiful new home at the end of May. A huge thank you to Tashya, Lauren and Luke - you are all amazing!
