Leon Stevens is incredibly unresponsive, making the tax experience stressful, overwhelming and confusing. He never responds to emails and has received thousands of pounds of my money to do god knows what with. I have absolutely no clue whether my taxes have been filed correctly or not and am in a terrifying situation because of his poorly run company. DO NOT RECOMMEND, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I hired them to do my tax return. 1 month before the deadline I emailed them asking if everything was alright. I received no response. 2 months later I received a penalty from HMRC for late submission. After numerous emails, they only responded after I mentioned legal action, they said the UTR number was missing. They didn't even notify me that anything was missing, something which I had no idea how to get. I will report them to HMRC. Avoid this company, they even rebranded themselves from Blue Tick Accountants to "The Tax Refund Club" which is a non-existent entity. Such dishonesty.

Consistent misfiling, late filing, and non existent attention to detail on accounts. Go elsewhere. They’ve caused me £100’s in late penalties over the two years I’ve worked with them.

Very poor experience. They take your money upfront which I should have realised was a red flag. Took longer than I was told to receive my tax return, which was then incorrect, however, I only became aware when HMRC made amendments.

When querying the discrepancies, I found it near impossible to get hold of anyone. After months of back and forth I was told I needed to contact HMRC directly. After doing so it became evident BlueTick had made an error on my return.

Leon blamed me for not providing key information, even after I screenshotted the exact information as previously uploaded to their portal. They will not take responsibility for their errors.

There is no way to raise a formal complaint and Blue Tick Accountants don't appear to be regulated by professional bodies so cannot be held to account. Don't be fooled by their website.

Having paid £780 of pounds for a service I found it incredibly difficult to ever speak with Leon or anyone else at Bluetick, either by email.
I am speaking with the HMRC to get this sorted as I have a new accountant wanting to come on board.
Do not trust this company what so ever and I am in the middle of taking them to court.
These are scammers

Truly shocking experience.
Having paid hundreds of pounds for a service I found it incredibly difficult to ever speak with Leon or anyone else at Bluetick, either by email or phone.
Eventually I ended up speaking with the HMRC to get an update who confirmed nothing had ever been received from Bluetick who all edge fly submitted this.
I’ve been trying to speak with someone to confirm what has happened but no joy (as expected) with Bluetick on radio silence.
I am out of pocket, have gone backwards with my claim and need to pay another accountant!
I would suggest you look elsewhere if you want a ‘real’ service and don’t want to throw your money away. Utter garbage

A truly disappointing outcome and the worst client service I’ve experienced. Complete lack of communication and unresponsive for long periods of time, particularly for two weeks after payment was made. The contact number on their website doesn’t work and there is no way of getting hold of Leon Stevens. He was poor to follow up and offer guidance after the initial call about the next steps. I wish I listened to my gut and terminated the agreement within the 14-day cooling off period - which when I suggested canceling, he wanted to charge for which is in contravention of the consumer rights regulations - red flag #1. I’m highly skeptical about all the 5 star reviews online as it’s as if those clients were dealing with a totally different company - all the positives highlighted are the flaws of Blue Tick / Churchills London (red flag #2). Not quite sure who I was dealing with - Leon Stevens or Dale Moore (linked in a prior email from Blue Tick), Blue Tick Tax Advisors and Accountants or Churchills London.

Blue Tick and Churchills London falsely advertise that they can save their clients the most money from tax amongst their competitors which I naively thought was a benefit and, after receiving professional advice, tax should be correct and not benchmarked about how much a company can save their clients (red flag #3). Following these ongoing issues, I had to engage a professional to provide accurate information as I had to redo all the calculations myself as they were wrong and could not be tied to my supporting documentation - as further validated by my new tax advisor.

I have been dealing with Leon and the team for multiple years. Initially I had a consultation as was switching from Self Employed to PAYE and Leon guided me through the process. Cannot recommend BlueTick enough for any tax services, help with Limited companies or whatever you may need. Always super responsive and helpful!

I was pretty daunted by the challenge of working out my Capital Gains Assessment but Blue Tick’s approach was so easy for me to understand and everything was done quickly and efficiently with excellent communication throughout. I’m a very satisfied customer!
