These boots are horrible quality I paid…
These boots are horrible quality I paid 330 dollars all in for my steel toe blundstones within 4 months they looked like absolute shit , and 5 months until the leather was so destroyed and weak that my toes are now poking out the side ! I thought this was a fluke I had my last pair for 3 years and they still look better than my new ones. I sent my request for replacement thinking I recieved a defective pair and surely they would replace these no problem considering the price and the warranty that they say they honor, and the request was denied and said the boots have held up to regular wear and tear , what a joke of an organization that can’t stand by their own product or warranty. Do not buy these boots unless you want to buy new ones every three months.
I’ve worn my Blundstone boots maybe 20…
I’ve worn my Blundstone boots maybe 20 times and the heal came off. You can’t take them to a cobbler either. I have had a pair of Italian boots for 20 years and the heal is good still! I have reached out to the team, however, and they do seem willing to help me (right now anyway).

Update: March 14, 2025. What is worse - they denied any kind of warranty issue. Their claim about life time warranty is misleading. Indeed, normal wear and tear is not covered, which makes sense, but when there is lack of wear (both sole and upper leather) - claiming that the cracked sole must be environment- or age-related makes the warranty useless. The shoes were used in normal conditions - no exposure to industrial or hazardous surfaces or material.
Original review:
Used to be great. Proudly showing what they are on visible labels, but inside hiding that they are Made in Vietnam.
Well - that is not the likely reason for the rubber failing on both left and right shoe. I guess, increasing profit
margins by moving production to Vietnam was not enough, changing the composition of the rubber was the next step.
Otherwise, the shoes would still be great. For this price, one can buy more than 4 pairs of knock-offs - surely they are not as good, they will not last as the "originals" used to - but - they are more than 4 times cheaper.
Pity - it used to be so easy that one could pay more to get a better quality; and dependable shoes.
Find a better boot!
I have owned many pairs of Blundstones. I was a big fan and an advocate for their brand. My last pair of boots severely disappointed as the soles deteriorated in only a few years. Customer service did not care and was eager to tell me that disintegrating soles is normal wear and tear. It seems their quality has degraded as their competitoin has increased. There are many great brands to choose from. Don't make the mistake of thinking the Blundstones are as good as they used to be.
My Blundstones lasted just over 1 year
My Blundstones lasted just over 1 year. Very dissatisfied. One of the soles wore through while the other still has thickness. Iv never had another pair of boots or shoes do this. I expected better. Bulndstone says normal wear and wont replace. I’ll never buy another pair.
Customer support useless
Delivery company claimed it was delivered, nothing arrived, Blundstones customer support Rachel completely dismissed me using the excuse that I have payed EXTRA for insurance to not even try to find a solution or explanation.
The product has gone downhill
I was gifted a pair of Blundstones about 2 years ago. The soles have completely cracked in several places, including between where the boot portion meets the sole. Given that a new pair is $240 plus tax in Canada, I assumed their warranty would cover the defect. I emailed back and forth numerous times, tried to get a person on the phone with no success. In the end they told me it was regular wear and tear from regular use which is a farse. I wore the boots to and from work, and for going out at night. I don't even use them at work. All that in less than two years? I previously owned a pair that I wore for 6+ years in the exact same conditions. that tells me that their quality has gone down drastically. I will never buy another pair of blundstones and will be telling everyone I know the same. Don't buy them, their product is garbage, and their warranty is just as bad.
Guarantee is a joke..so is the brand now unfortunately
This is an excerpt from my last communication with the company..
After almost a month of communications, and multiple photos with what I can only describe as a now AI powered warranty claim department, 'Linda the warranty manager', has responded with almost word for word the same commentary as 'Maddy'. Having dealt with the warranty department years ago with another family members boots (leather finish issue) that was positive, this experience was absolutely brutal.
After sharing my concerns about premature wearing and sub par performance of your product, not once did I receive a personal 'reach out' discussion or was any attempt made to resolve the issue in any capacity. There was plenty of opportunity. THE SIGNIFICANT WEARING (as you referred to it) WAS THE ISSUE!
Given my recent experience with your company, I highly doubt my following response will remotely resonate with your team, management, or the Blundstone entity as a whole, however here it goes..
'To now call Blundstone a quality brand, regardless of the hundreds of dollars charged for the product, is laughable. Coming from a family that has accumulated 8-10 pairs over the years, there will never again be a Blundstone purchase from this household. The lack of after sale consideration, the non-existent backing of your product and blatant disregard to attempt to remedy the situation in any form, speaks volumes. I will be sure to share my experience with others so they will be forewarned and encouraged to consider your competitors' offerings..'
WHAT A HORRIBLE COMPANY AND CUSTOMER…
WHAT A HORRIBLE COMPANY AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!! Yes screaming mad. If I could give negative stars I would most certainly do. I see that all my negative reviews so far have been very quickly taken down by Blundstone as they most certainly do not want any negative feedback and will squash your MANY UNHAPPY reviews. And what does that say about this company? So we will have to go to a new avenues.
Once their absolute most loyal customer to utter disgust, distaste and distain for this company. I have owned 12 or more pair over 30 years and I can absolutely tell u,....this company will treat u like garbage for all your loyalty and dedication,..all the referrals and how many others I have convinced to purchase they will absolutely toss u aside, and then lie to you as in their bogus warranty. The most expensive boot they have, I purchased many years ago and was literally saving them for when the others look grubby. I wore them 3-5 times, then cleaned, polished, conditioned and waterproofed them and put them in my closet for safe keeping. I recently pulled them out with much utter glee and after 2 dog walks,...they literally disintegrated under my feet. Absolutely shocked!!! Warrantied them and was told it was ....wear and tear....SAY WHAAAT??!? I told them they were only worn a handful of times so how is that wear and tear?? No answer. But however,.... she did say she,... "appreciated my disappointment & frustration with a denied claim". What does that even mean? She also stated, "these are well traveled boots and have likely seen some many great adventures" after reading me saying these have 5 days use. She is actually accusing me of lying that has just completely now changed my tone. And how shocking is this trite, condescending, accusing and assuptive attitude from a........Sr. Mfr of.......customer experience??!? That being Catherine Lalonde. She further used different excuse after excuse why they will not be warrantied, not answering my questions and continually deflected any accountability. Do your research on the internet and this is a huge major issue now with these boots,...and are all rejected because of .....wear and tear....... I asked,..."even if this is wear and tear,......what does that have to do with disintegrating soles." No answer. I suggested that possibly as the soles were disintegrating that would she consider that they looked worn more than 5 days. No answer. Absolutely no benefit of any doubt. I also have the exact same pair that are older than these and the soles are in good shape still. The newer ones are the ones that disintegrate and it is all over the internet with many very unhappy people.
One can only deduct Mz Lalonde may have got her position because she is very good at rejecting and not cover their warranty and denying claims. Blundstone must love and promote her for that is a valid possibility as this is how they treat their most customers. This is absolutely nothing more than material defect. U might want to think twice about a new pair as I will assure u,.....their warranty and your confidence in any warranty,...will be tossed aside.
"Warrenty against defects in materials". NOT A CHANCE
"Rugged durabitiy" ABSOLUTELY NOT
"TPU thermo urethane soles designed for long lasting
durability.......ABSOLUTELY NOT read the many many reviews on this. This is a very common problem now.
"Pride ourselves on quality of materials. ABSOLUTELY
NOT
"Investment" NOT
"Blundstone holds itself to the highest standards". NOT
"Better with Age". WHAT A FARCE!!!
Now after this review,...would u really purchase these boots ever again.

Extremely Disappointed With Blundstone Warranty & Quality
Extremely Disappointed With Blundstone’s Warranty & Quality. I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with Blundstone. I purchased their safety boots expecting durability and reliability — after all, that’s what safety footwear is supposed to provide. Instead, the boots began de-threading, and when I reached out for warranty support, the warranty manager at Blundstone (Laura) claimed this wasn’t a defect in materials or workmanship.
This response is unbelievable. I am a construction site supervisor — I simply walk and talk for a living, nothing extreme or unusual that should cause a quality boot to fall apart. For the price I paid, I expected far better treatment and far better quality.
If this is how Blundstone chooses to handle legitimate customer concerns, I won’t be purchasing from them again. Their warranty support has been incredibly disappointing, and the customer service I received was surprisingly poor. Very dissatisfied. If this is what Blundstone considers normal wear for their products, then the quality isn’t what the brand claims it to be.
They work and they last
I love my Blundstones, and the reason is simple: they work and they last.
Honestly, in a world full of companies seemingly only interested in getting you to buy something several times because it falls apart/breaks far too soon, Blundstone seems determined to go out of business by selling boots once, and never needing to buy more.
Service and shoe quality suck
I have owned multiple pairs in the past and they lasted me forever, the last few years the quality of these shoes have went downhill dramatically, If you’re going to market a shoe based on “slip on comfort” and “quality” then how can you not replace a shoe that has the heal let go and digs into your foot. They said it was due to regular wear and tear but the shoes are very well cared for and perfect to wear besides the shitty stiching that let go when putting my shoe on. I’ll never buy another pair after this, I’d rather have a lace up option so I don’t destroy the back of the shoe while slipping on.
Got a pair of boots
Got a pair of boots, they were too small. However, they do not do proper exchange. They said I had to return it and then rebuy. The boots were not on sale anymore and they would not price match. Plus I had to pay a restocking and shipping fee instead of them just helping me get the size I needed, one size up from my usual. I felt I was just a number to them.
Stay Away – Deceptive, Dishonest, and Unethical
I purchased a pair of boots over a year ago for my wife and it was just sitting collecting dust. I figured I'd reach out and see if I could exchange it for a pair for myself that I could wear. They said they'd happily accommodate that. After returning the boots, they sent me an email saying I haven't paid for the original pair and I have to pay to proceed with an exchange.
Complete disintegration on the side of…
Complete disintegration on the side of the sole of one boot only. Purchased about 5 years ago, infrequently worn. Didn’t keep the receipt so warranty claim was not accepted.
Never an issue with my other Blundstones.
Sadly this is the last pair I will ever buy as there is apparently something badly wrong with the sole quality.
Would never recommend them to anyone!
BLUDSTONE USA-TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
I give Blundstone U.S.A. 0 stars. I ordered boots 9 days ago-credit card was charged-received an order confirmation. I did NOT receive the “shipped” confirmation. There is NO WAY to contact the company other than unhelpful “boot bot” and e-mail that I received an automated to. I also CANNOT cancel this order-UGH-HELP!!!!
Buyer Beware! Terrible Customer Service
I had one of the worst customer service experiences dealing with this company. After receiving the wrong pair of boots, I was met with unprofessional and dismissive responses at every step.
When I reached out for a resolution, I received an initial email blaming me for the mistake and providing no clear instructions or return label. I arranged a specific pick-up time due to my work schedule, only to be given a four-hour window and a rude comment about my availability.
Catherine, the supposed manager, reached out but made it apparent that she hadn’t even spoken to her team about the issue. At one point, she offered to send me a new pair of boots. Before proceeding, I asked for clarification to confirm that this was indeed the case. She confirmed, only to later backtrack and send me an invoice for the full price of the boots, with a token $50 discount—making the boots the exact same price as my original order. Her emails were inconsistent, unprofessional, and confusing, and she repeatedly made false promises about resolving the issue.
At no point in the emails was I abusive, despite her claiming otherwise to deflect accountability. I have all correspondence in writing, and it’s clear the customer is treated as an afterthought here.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this company if you expect even basic levels of professionalism and customer care.
But don't take my word for it, I've posted the relevant email communication and you can decide for yourself whether I was in the wrong or if Catherine is gaslighting me.
Email to Catherine from me on December 18, 2024
Hi Catherine,
Thank you for your email, though I must say I don’t quite understand what you mean. The shoes were shipped back in both the shoe box and the outer box they were sent in.
It’s clear that you felt that refunding me and sending out a new pair of boots was the appropriate course of action given the mistake and the poor customer service I experienced, and I agree that this seems reasonable. I am happy to continue communicating via email, as having everything in writing is much better under these circumstances. My phone interactions so far have been stressful and caused a great deal of anxiety, so I would prefer to avoid that moving forward.
I’m also disappointed that what was stated in your initial email now seems to need further discussion.
If you are now stating that a new pair of shoes will not be offered, please let me know, as this is getting quite confusing.
Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to resolving this matter via email.
Best regards,
Lindsay Walsh
Catherine's response
Hi Lindsay,
I understand, email is totally fine.
The miscommunication must have come from be as I believed you had been refunded and re-purchased a new pair of 2242, although I understand the time and effort here, and would be happy to offer you a promotional code towards the pair 2242 and have them expedited to you.
Let me know if that works, I am heading into a meeting and will do my best to respond by the end today, if not first thing tomorrow.
Best,
Catherine Lalonde
Senior manager, Customer Experience
This is Cathy's response, Dec 19, to the email where I asked by I was being sent an invoice for over $307, which was not only not free but the EXACT same amount I had paid originally:
Hi Lindsay,
As discussed yesterday, we will be sending you an invoice for the boots, including a promotional code for $50.00 off. I will personally oversee the shipping to ensure the correct product is sent.
You have already received a refund for the original issue. To clarify, we are not sending a pair of boots at no cost. Instead, we are offering them at a discounted rate and ensuring they are delivered correctly.
Please confirm your understanding and whether you would like to proceed. If not, I understand. However, this is the final resolution for this situation. I apologize for any misunderstanding, but at no point did I indicate that we would send free boots.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, this is the resolution we are offering, as you have been fully refunded already

Blundstone sale is a scam and Customer…
Blundstone sale is a scam and Customer Service worthless. Yes, the sale price is decent BUT if you need to return for size (which happens often because their styles are all different) then you must return and buy new size at FULL price! And it takes time to get your credit! I sized up 1/2 because it was recommended by Blundstones if one had a wide foot which I do. They were too long! I received them hours after sale ended. I was impossible to get customer service to get back to me. They keep emailing their non exchange policy. I’m so mad and will never purchase from them again.
Worst customer service I have ever…
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered boots and immediately called them because an old shipping address had auto populated. Call representative unable to do anything but put in a request to change address for the order I made ten minutes before the call. Received email later indicating that can’t change shipping address.
Declining quality
My most recent pair of Blundstones (Winter 560s) develop a problem with cracks in both soles and a separation of the sole and upper leather on the left boot after very limited use. Not sure why this happened as I don't use them for hiking or extreme sports. Previous pairs of Blundstones I have owned lasted for years and had to be discarded after the elastic or leather finally gave out. I can only conclude that there is some cost cutting in the manufacturing process and a general decline in quality. I will not buy another pair of Blundstones.
