Very Satisfied Overall

My initial enquiry before I purchased was answered very quickly and assured me about the lock suitability for my door.
The fitting of the Origin was straight forward and relatively simple. Reading the instructions carefully and sorting components out beforehand was a good move. It took me about 35 minutes to install and I encountered no problems at all. Setup was simple.
So pleased with the product, I purchased a second Origin and again, no problem.
I also have fitted a Breeze to an internal door and, as above, no problem.
Overall a good experience and all functioning well and as expected.
A very satisfied 71 year old and gets the thumbs up from me.

Rubbish product

Rubbish product, even worse customer service.

We have been trying to get help with the lock for months and no response.

Now locked out of house. When we get in the blusafe lock is going in the bin

Had my origin lock for around 18…

Had my origin lock for around 18 months, with Internet connection.

The lock is good but for the fact that, for us, fingerprints just fo not work. However, the key dongles work absolutely fine, as does Bluetooth and Internet unlocking, albeit one needs to be patient!

Poor device and poor support

Poor device and poor support
I have had a Origin Smart doorhandle for 7 months. I have 3 problems:
1. I have never been able to connect to it via bluetooth. If I didn't have the hub, I would have been locked our very frequently as it often doesn't recognise my finger. This is despite the fact that I have registered the same finger more that 20 times. It only allows 4 incorrect scans and then says "Usage limit exceeded, please try later". If the internet is down, you are stuck outside. If you don't have the hub, then you're stuck anyway. I have tried many times to connect again with bluetooth, taken out the batteries and put them in, everything I can think of. No luck.
2. The support are just no help. When I did once get in contact, they assured me that because I was connected through the hub, it would share my bluetooth connection. Then the internet was down, and I was locked out. No bluetooth. I have been ignored by support many more times.
3. The usage limit exceeded thing. I have 2 fingerprint padlocks, and they always work within 4 attempts. Why not the door handle. Incidently, the second fingerprint padlock is not Blusafe, was half the price and is much nicer.

Thankyou for helping with my recent HMO project. The breeze handle was a great addition to our multiple occupancy properties, and blusafe were very helpful in providing help to support our end user !

Do not purchase anything from this company

Dealing with this company is the worse on-line purchasing experience I have ever had and I have been making on-line purchases since Internet shopping started in the mid 1990’s

Blusafe Solutions Ltd refused to comply with UK "Distance Selling Regulations" and would not issue a refund for a non-working product, that was either faulty or just “Not Fit For Purpose".

On 03/04/23 I purchased a “so called” fingerprint operated euro cylinder replacement Smartlock from Bluesafe Solutions Ltd.

Fingerprint recognition is quite a mature technology now and has been available on multiple smartphones tablets etc. for many years; so one would expect it to be an ideal solution for opening your front door. As the Blusafe Solutions Ltd website suggests “You can’t forget your fingers”.

The fingerprint recognition technology used by Blusafe Solutions Ltd is as close to that used in the latest smartphones as using a quill pen is to a word processor!

Whilst try to get the device to work as advertised, I spent nearly a whole day annoying my wife and daughter, by continually asking them to register multiple fingerprints.

Not once did the lock open on the first touch of a finger (As shown in videos on the Blusafe Solutions Ltd website). The device always required touching the pad 5 to 9 times, whilst placing a finger in different orientations.

I tried reregistering everybody’s fingerprints and registering the same fingers multiple times; the door still didn’t unlock on the first, second or third touch. I also tried reseting the lock and starting from scratch.

The last straw was having an argument with my wife about the lock, being late to visit my 92 year old mother in hospital and then the door failing to unlock, when we returned home.

The fingerprint function proved to be so unreliable that I had no option but to remove the lock.

So: Within a couple of days after delivery I realised the product supplied did not work as advertised and I asked Blusafe Solutions Ltd to arrange to collect the device, for a refund.

They refused, saying they could not accept it back as the device had been installed.

I do not see how I would be able to ascertain that a smart lock, that needs to be fitted to a door to function, did not work until it was actually fitted to a door.

Blusafe solutions then suggested that I could use the smartphone App or a dongle to open the lock, if it did not recognise a fingerprint, which is like saying: If you car engine won’t start you could always push it!

I was also concerned about the overall quality of the product, especially the plastic cover which appeared to be made from cheap plastic; the WiFi bridge (£49.95 Extra), which enables lock control over the internet, was a cheap looking unbranded plastic box that looks likely like to compromise your home network security.

I filed a dispute with PayPal as Blusafe Solutions Ltd had not only sold me a product that did not work as advertised but was also not complying with consumer distance selling laws.

As this was a clear-cut situation I thought I would receive a swift refund.

I did not!

I received a refund today (10/05/2023); so, I had to worry, for well over a month, if I was going to lose nearly £300.

Please don’t make the same mistake as me and deal with this terrible company.

I believe our team spoke to yourself on numerous occasions in regards to the fingerprint issue that you encountered. When asked to try another persons finger print I believe the product worked very well, this issue was solely isolated yourself unfortunately and this is why we recommended the RFID tag and also the app based functionality/

The Paypal dispute was opened and when provided evidence to Paypal, they were considering the case so we actually took the decision to refund this back to you to avoid any further stress of the product.

Not compatible with many UK doors and terrible after care. I don't recommend at all

I don't think they even deserve 1 star as their after care is not acceptable. Today is 15th day since the purchase of this lock after paying ~£460. Lock broke down twice and we are locked in the house. The company is saying the lock is not a problem but our door is as it is not compatible with our door. They knew but did not tell us the truth and sold the lock. We are unable to open the door and locked in. They made our house a prison!!! Utterly unhappy and this is a crime.

I apologize for your poor experience with Blusafe Solutions. We do not like to see this from our customers

I believe our door technician who originally visited to install to your property left the property and you were very happy with the lock.

Unfortunately I believe you had some issues with the cylinder sticking which we decided a second visit from our original installer was necessary to ensure the item was working correctly. Our installer who is completely external notified us that the gearbox on your door was sticking. I believe they notified you of this and issued a repair on the gearbox which unfortunately did not last as the gearbox fault continued to get worse.

I can understand this was a very stressful situation for you, however we did offer to come out and actually replace the lock FOC for you so you could continue to enjoy the Blusafe product, as I believe you were extremely happy with the build quality and performance of the lock other than this sticking issue

I do feel this situation did get out of hand, and we apologize you feel we did not do enough. If there is anything we can do to rectify this issue please email us on enquiries@blusafesolutions.com and we will be more than happy to see what we can do !

Amazing product and aftercare

I brought the Blusafe Origin front door lock, amazing product and very easy to fit. My neighbour also brought one 2 days after me, I have just ordered another one for my back door. I have found the after service very very good. Highly recommend

Poor customer service.

Customer service ?? Telephone answer machine left two messages no replies. Emails no response after 24?hours to an urgent request to a failed door lock on a Thursday. Friday afternoon now. No phones answered another email sent.

Update I’ve had to remove the door lock to secure the premises. Waited until the end of the day for some customer support. 1 star was deserved.

Customer services

I only received part of my order, which when queried they said they would look into, and a month has gone by without an update. The lock itself is good...but the fingerprint recognition is very glitchy and often doesn't work so I have to use the key fob - this causes problems as we only have 2.
UPDATE: There was an issue with the inbox so my emails were unanswered due to this. I have since heard from their MD and my issues are now being addressed.

Brilliant locks and company.

We have a severely autistic child with behavioural problems and need to keep him safe at all times. Keeping him out of rooms is a battle. After trying Various manual locks over the years which were not really up to the job and keys being a problem all the time, we found these biometric door locks at Blusafe.
What a life changer for us. We purchased the breeze model and now have fitted these to all our internal doors. They are very well made and solid and they look awesome. Best of all they just work and keep on working. They are very easy to install and register fingerprints. Will never turn back again now that we have these thank you and can I say your customer service is brilliant.

Overall brilliant!

Extremely pleased with Blusafe overall.
Installing the Origin Smart was super easy (easier than putting together most Ikea furniture) with Blusafe's step-by-step videos.

Good quality product and mobile app is great!

Outstanding customer service too from Tom and his team!

Origin smart

Excellent product and great communication from company. I was initially nervous getting a smart lock but decided to give it a go. Glad i did. Installed myself thanks to the excellent instructional video online. The lock is very sturdy, responsive and far neater on the door than all the other smart locks i looked at. Highly recommend.

Amazing Product, Amazing Software, Amazing Customer Support!

Have moved across from owning a Yale Conexis L1 lock for 3 years the Origin Smart from Blusafe is on another level!!! The hardware is well made, the fingerprint works every-time, the key fobs are much better quality and the remote unlock is truly spectacular! The app works brilliantly you can track who is locking and unlocking a lot better than the Yale app (which is horrendous) it’s just night and day between the Yale and the Origin Smart. So happy with the product and at the end of the phone or email was Ben and his team everytime, knowledgable and has time for anyone that needs the help. I cannot recommend this product or Blusafe enough. Looking forward to the future update for Google home too. This door lock is a true game changer! Don’t even consider anything else!

Fantastic product

Fantastic product, was so glad i purchased the origin smart handle instead of the Yale the origin is a lot better and Dan is so helpful and he couldn't do enough for you if you need any help, he is always contactable which is unusual. highly recommend!!!

I bought the Origin Smart to replace my…

I bought the Origin Smart to replace my Yale Conexis smart lock as I've had quite a few problems with the Conexis! The mechanism failed leaving me with big concerns over reliability. The Yale app was also lacking features and used to log me out every time of use. My kids always lose keys or the fobs that Yale came with, the Origin Smart resolved this issue as it uses the app or fingerprints that can't be lost! I spoke to Blusafe before purchasing and it had all the features I needed, they were easy to contact and very responsive.
I opted for a Black lock with Wi-Fi and professional installation, a locksmith came out to fit it within a week of ordering and it's been great ever since. Looking to purchase a second lock as I wanted to test one out first and couldn't be happier with the experience and product.
