Overall the course is well done and has helped me a ton.

However, Dr. Ryan has a tendency to use green and red ink to indicate stop/go or activator/inactivator, etc. This makes it very difficult for those of us who are color blind to see what is going on, especially when reviewing notes weeks after listening to the lecture.

It would be nice if future videos includes symbols (+ or - signs, arrow or capped line, etc.) along with the different colored ink.

Got my step2 CK score report yesterday and I performed beyond my expectations, thanks to Dr Ryan’s teachings. I had a similar experience with step 1 which I took 9 months ago.
Evidence Based: BnB is the best material available for the steps.

The difference is that his products are focused on the boards. There were distinct topics he lectured on that I remembered showed up in my q-banks. As opposed to cookie-cutter lectures out there, this product saves time because it teaches towards the boards and not generic content.

Compared to other things like pathoma, this is more comprehensive because it covers things like ethics and biochemistry that pathoma does not cover. I would say if you covered all of BB and did q-banks, you would be more prepared than most.

Also, you should appreciate the lengths he travels to make things simple. His tables are golden; they rival FA, but since he explains everything it makes his slides memorable. Since his content also "follows" FA for Step 1 it feels like I can fall asleep and still not get lost while reviewing his material.

I know this is an aside... but he has a soothing voice too.

amazing!! really helped me build a foundation of knowledge that I did not have before! The videos are informative, concise and not a overload of unnecessary knowledge!

I used Boards & Beyond as my foundation was very weak alongside the Lightyear Anki deck. I think what really helps is to understand the material rather than memorizing it; this is where Dr. Ryan excels in incorporating many different disciplines in his videos which really helps to nail the content. His pathology review was so good that I didn't even need to do Pathoma! I ended up in the 250s so I'm very happy. I was considering using his Step 2 CK material but it seems to be in its infancy with many modules missing; so I suppose I'll have to stick with UWorld for the time being. I'm sure it will be much better a year from now. Thanks again Dr. Ryan. You're awesome!

Dr Ryan is an excellent teacher, I am excited to purchase the step2 for my preparation. The lectures are extremly highyield for step 1, specially for imgs.

Boards and Beyond is a fantastic resource in preparation for Step 1. The videos are clear and the practice questions after each video help you confirm your knowledge and identify knowledge gaps.
The desktop version is best. I wish they had an app.
