Gardenline - Just Don't Put It In The Garden - Pointless Warranty
Aldi Gardenline Range.
Bought a Vintage Bistro Furniture Set with a 3 year guarantee. After 2 season’s use it is covered in rust. Sent warranty claim to Boddingtons as per user manual, copy of purchase receipt & photos. After 10 days & no response from Boddingtons we telephoned to be told we were “next on the list for a reply” What a coincidence.
Their response “Sorry can’t/won’t do anything after all this time. Tough -contact Aldi”
Pointless/valueless guarantee.

Wouldn't deal with them again
I bought a water pump that had their name and batch number on it and it failed after two uses. The pump shorted out inside. I contacted them offering to show photos and explained how the pump had failed and asked if the could offer any help. I no longer had the receipt but could prove the age of the pump from the batch number. After several days I received a very curt reply saying the did not manufacture the pump and no longer sell them so would not offer a refund. The tone of the reply was not friendly or helpful. I did not demand a refund. I would have been happy for them to repair the pump or to recognise that there was a problem with the design. I was quite dissapointed with their attitude.
