My experience with bookairfare is very good. They are easy to reach, less time to spend on call, most knowledgeable, honest and ready to help customer.

This is was not my fixed travel website at first. My friend recommended me to opt in for this and check-out the flights deals. I did on my tour to San Francisco. I got a good discount. I use this website frequently now.
Heartless (perhaps not), Technical Glitches (yes), and Money Hungry (in the end, not at all), but maybe they will change
So I want to add to the review below rather than delete it, because it gives context. I persevered on this with representatives from Bookairfare, and to their credit they listened and responded. All I ultimately wound up doing was submitting documentation and while it was neither a rapid nor glacial response, they responded and seem to hear me. I was informed that the higher ups would evaluate the situation, and to my ultimate surprise, my wife and I received a full refund. I was shocked, and to be honest, it restored my faith in humanity (at least for now). My hope is that maybe their marketing folks are taking these reviews seriously, and want to improve their customer service.
Anyway, they were responsive to us in the end, seemed to believe our story (let's face it, people use all kinds of stories and excuses to get out of stuff, so I don't fault them at all there), and while my wife is still going through radiation as I write this (surgery was successful), we are so less burdened as a result. I would give them 4 stars if it hadn't taken so long to hear, but credit should be given where credit is due. Thank you Book Airfare.
Old Review
Recently my wife booked two international flights to Germany. That part went relatively smoothly. She was, however, nervous about purchasing tickets because she had an abnormal mammogram, and was scheduled to have a biopsy in three weeks, but did not want to wait for fear that prices might go up. As a precaution she filled out the travel insurance (seemed that $69 was cheaper than no refund should the news be bad). Well, three weeks later the news was bad (positive for invasive lobular carcinoma). When we inquired about the travel insurance, they informed us that we did not have that, but rather we had a best pricing guarantee plan. Why would we get that under these circumstances? I called Travel Guard, the company listed on the website, and they were very nice, stating that they did not see anything, but would look more thoroughly and get back to us. Unfortunately they could find no policy for my wife. And sure enough, there was no charge on our credit card for that service.
So like others, I called the toll free number and was on hold for 45 minutes before having to give up the first time (I am sorry, but I don't believe that any company is that hard to get hold of). I called when I returned home later in the afternoon and called on two phones. I finally got through after 30 minutes, and spoke with a very polite man who said to call the airline and that they could refund our ticket. I started to hope, a fool's hope evidently, because United informed us that they could not alter a ticket through a third party (here is where they have you).
I wrote an email and received repeated replies from "Aldo," but there is no way that this is a real person because the replies are not specific - they simply state that for $300 per ticket they can change the ticket (better than nothing, but given the unknowns in her condition, a risky gamble to shell out another $600 for two tickets. Now let's be honest, it doesn't cost these companies anything to change a reservation (the top four US carriers received $22 billion in profits in 2015), and bookairfare.com could just press a few keys and change it. They can easily resell those seats at no loss to them.
During all of these contacts I offered to provide whatever documentation they needed from hospital surgeons, radiology departments, oncology departments, but all I got back was "We would like to inform you that as per the airlines fare rules, the 300.00 USD penalty by the airline." And it is insulting to be called "Valued Customer," because we are not valued (valuable maybe, but not valued).
So it seems that we are out $2500 (we could use that for medical costs) if we do nothing, or $600 is we change it, or for another $100 per ticket, they will keep the credit for the future so log as we rebook in a year (and pay any difference in ticket price, which I would bet is additional if it benefits them, and zero if it benefits us).
We are disgusted, demoralized (it's like getting slammed twice), and angry. In the future I will deal directly with the airlines, which I suggest to anyone reading this thread. Although it was a hassle, we got Orbitz to refund money for my daughter's flight home last year due to threat of blizzard that would have delayed or possibly cancelled her flight. At least they were understanding in the end. Bookairfare.com could seemingly care less.

Difficult to cancel reservation.
If you should need to cancel your reservation, it is a difficult task that will cost you some fees. I had to deal with many different departments to cancel before I actually got someone that would help me. Language barrier was difficult at times as well.
THIS IS A FRAUDULANT COMPANY
IF I COULD GIVE FIVE NEGATIVE STARS TO TRULY EXPRESS HOW AWFUL THIS COMANY IS I WOULD. I AM CURRENTLY ON HOLD ANOTHER 35minites for the sixth time. Last night up till midnight I help for 45minutes before this so called 24hoyrs company which they are not disconnected all calls at 12am. We booked a ticket Thursday night for a Saturday flight. Got our confirmation email and assumed everything was fine, however, the next morning we get an email saying our flight was on hold so they can confirm the transaction. I call them and my bank to confirm this transaction and am told great we will send you a confirmation email for your flight. That email never came in so we went off what we already had. Get to the airport at 1:20 they can't find the ticket so tell us to call the travel agency, after being on hold for 45mins and getting disconnected we finally get the email with the confirmation number and go back in to get the tickets, it still took the airport 5minutes to find the ticket and when they do its now 2pm and they stop boarding luggage for the 3pm flight. For the past 18 hours I have been going back and forth with this company who agent AGNUS IS TELLING ME THE AIRLINE IS INCOMPENT UTS NOT HIS COMPANIES FAYLT BUT FOR ANOTHER $354 he can change my flight or I can call the airline which I do who tells me they can't touch the flight go back to the agent. Back and forth I have been going. Than to make matters worst the attendant at that airport never documented the fact they couldn't find a ticket at 1:20 because they didn't have a ticket to document so they put it as a no show, when we called than they said it's a late arrival, it's literally is a nightmare dealing with this as if the travel agency IS FRAUDULANT, THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY, KEEP PUTTING RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE ON THE LINE THAT SPEAK HORRIBLE ENGLISH AND YELL AT YOU BECAUSE YOUR FUSTRATED AND CANT UNDERSTAND THEM. They screwd up on the ticket! To where the airport couldn't find it originally, now as customers were paying the price. And they can careless. As long as they have their money they don't care. AVOID THIS TRAVEL AGENCY IF HUMANLY POSSIBLE, I DONT THINK ITS SO MUCH THE AIRLINE I THINK ITS JUST THIS TRAVEL AGENCY, ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY NO LONGER CARE IF THEY SCREW UP YOUR ENTIRE FLIGHT THAN TRY TO SCANDAL YOU OUT OF MORE MONEY. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU.

Great Price, Great Customer Service!
The travel agent, Philip, was more than helpful! He went above and beyond-- making sure all of our (annoying and tedious) questions were answered. He checked other flights to ensure we were getting the best price possible for the times that we were looking for. Our trip to England will be amazing (and cost nearly 1,000USD less than what we would've paid directly to the airline)!
I'm certainly one happy customer!
Expensive, fraudulent, unhelpful
If you can, avoid this travel agency/site at all costs. They overcharged me over $200, refused to explain where the charges came from (actually they lied to me) and refused to help me in any way. The person I spoke to was very rude and condescending and spoke very bad English. Once you buy a ticket from them your money is as good as lost. Generally, try to book with airlines directly every time you can.

Very poor service and three charges on my credit card
I booked a one way trip from Tampa to Buffalo in early January 2016. Cost was $140.10. Two days later I had to change the time of the flight to later in the day. An agent made the change for me and said there would be a $75 change fee plus the difference in fare. I have now been charged for two tickets- $143.10 plus $140.10 plus a change fee of $215.10 for a total of $498.30. I am currently on my fifth call to this company (27 minutes so far) and cannot get satisfaction. I would NEVER use them again and warn everyone to be careful- especially if you need to make a change.

Do not use
Overpriced, hidden fees, I waited two days to get confirmation for my flight
Bought a ticket using my phone, price was $17 more then on their site
There is no 24 hrs Customer service as the web site says
They charged my credit card and gave me some numbres, which hey culdn't even track later whet I called back
I love the experience with you! I will definitely use it again!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊😊😊
Very friendly and helpful customer service!! I loved it!! Anybody should use it!! 😄😄😄👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊
Scam! Insurance was 'sold out' but for $200 they could help.
I booked a flight to England. #44060
WJ flew from Edmonton to Calgary. BA to Heathrow. I chose the flights etc and chose the travel insurance. When I realized it was not going to fly from Edmonton and needed that leg cancelled, I was informed that even though I chose the insurance option, it had been sold out. But for $200.00 they would cancel it! What a scam!
Then I was sent two companies to get insurance; the first one doesn't have it for one way flights and the second didn't cover a cancelation! The service rep also sent me two US contact numbers instead of Canadian.
A travel company that can't tell the difference between the two countries!
Always book with the carrier. Westjet cannot help me and if I don't show up for that flight, the entire trip is cancelled.
After each communication, I would receive an email with status 'solved' and priority 'low' and the body of the message saying..."unfortunately, we are unable to add trip insurance to your existing booking as our system do not have an option to add once the booking is done." As if this was my fault. I chose insurance.

Good Experience
Recently purchased ticket from Calcutta to Toronto.
Got a great deal and quite a cheap ticket price.
Thanks !!
Incomplete Refund
We bought two tickets from Miami to Spain with Iberia, round trip (424434), and we wanted Iberia because of the PetPolicy. The charges were made immediately , the next day we called Iberia to take the pet conformation and they told us that our tickets appeared cancelled. We called Bookairfare and they told us that we were re assigned with British Airways. BA didn't let us travel with our pet in cabin when they share flight so after two week dealing with bookairfare we could speak with a supervisor (Daisy) and she ordered a complete refund of our money and sold us new ones with Iberia (4AGNSS) . We flew to Spain thinking and anticipating that we will have problems with the refund and... Guess what?! Indeed: we receives 21,days after the refund order a partial amount, we received 4 different transactions and when we made our maths... 500$ were missing.... It's being more than two month, I spoke with Ruth, Neil, Amir?... Even another supervisor, Agnes, and several other operators and I'm still waiting.... I call this guys and spend hours on the phone and they didn't answer, straight to that horrible songs that I already hate... I'll take actions.
Please don't use this agency, the money that you save don't worth the effort and time if something goes wrong and... Something will go wrong with this people.. Eventually.

Booking cancelled after days of waiting - don't trust bookairfare
Ticket Reference : 8QOHRR
It says confirmed, but airlines say its cancelled. Please check.
I was rediredted to bookair fare from SkyScanner. I booked 3 tickets to India from USA. 3K USD was deducted from my card. But I was not able to get the details from "Manage my Booking" through airline website. I called airline and they said bookairfare cancelled the booking after some time of reservation. I called bookairfare and they said that I will get confirmation mail from bookairfaire in 4 hours or by end of day. Nothing like that happened. I checked with airline and they mentioned the ticket is cancelled by bookairfare, so they can't do anything.
Now, I am in a situation with 3K USD deducted from myaccount and no tickets booked. At the same time, I am loosing days in all these mishap. Not sure what to do. Book new tickets or wait for bookairfare.
****** STAY AWAY FROM BOOKAIRFARE. ******

SMOOTH OPERATION
SEARCHED,BOOKED AND GOT CONFIRMATION WITHIN MINUTES. SEAMLESS AND WITH ISSUES.
Booking cancelled after four days of waiting
My booking was "vendor confirmed" and after not hearing back for three days I reached out to support and they said I should get a final confirmation by end of day. I still didn't hear anything so contacted them again the next day. The support agent then told me that the whole trip was cancelled according to their records, however, I never got any email about it or found out what the reason was.
Very disappointing because I needed to book a trip short notice and don't even know if there are still seats available now.

Cancelled my Ticket
THE WORST!!! Booked a ticket to Australia from the US, only to have them cancel my ticket 2 days later. They stated my credit card was declined which was absolute nonsense. When challenged, they stated that they couldn't accept the card as it was 'international' being a MasterCard. I'm still scratching my head... Travelocity was happy to accept my card for the same ticket without any problem!! I will never use or ever recommend this company. Run, run away...

Tried To Rip Me Off For $250.00, for a $10.00 Change!
Today I searched a flight on Skyscanner. After choosing my flight, I was routed to Bookairfare.com. After purchasing the ticket I noticed I had made a mistake in the flight time and immediately called a Bookairfare agent. He told me my ticket had been issued already by Jet Blue but he would try to help. He asked me to hold for 2 minutes. When he returned we said it was bad news. He explained that Jet Blue wanted to charge me $500.00 to change the flight time. He said he had a "heated discussion" with Jet Blue and convinced them to waive $250.00 off the fee. When I began to question him about the specifics he became irritated with me and told me I didn't understand how he was helping me to save money. He said I had to pay right now while he had me on the phone. He said no other agent could get me this deal and If I called Jet Blue I would have to pay the full $500.00 to make the change.
When he started the hard sale pressure I knew he was scamming me. I hung up and called Jet Blue. They made the changes to my flight time with no fee, only the fare increase of $10.00!
I will never use the site again and I encourage others to stay away as well.

SCAMMERS
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I found them through Skyscanner.com. They booked me a flight and sold me a ticket through the wrong airline. I almost missed the flight because I had to figure out the correct airline myself. Their customer service rep gave me more wrong information and a fake check-in code when I called. They also charged me for a checked bag when I bought the ticket, which was not on record with the airline, so I had to pay again! Essentially, they stole my money and lied about the flight. What a terrible experience.

Stay away! They don't deserve 1 Star!
Make sure to read every detail over thoroughly before purchasing! Don't buy the cancellation add-on it's a joke! Who would need to book and cancel in the same day?! They don't work with you at all!!! So you're screwed out of your money if an emergency happens! And to add to this, they make a comment about wanting to reach out to me to attempt to resolve, asking for my information so they could make some resolution, then report my comment! That's some real customer service there!
Here is my Trip ID 480836! I am even more curious now to hear what their possible resolution would be?!
