DONT USE THEM

DONT USE THEM! I never got to go on my Birthday trip in July 2020. They never refunded ANYONE. I used my debit card and it’s under regulation E which means since I said it was ok to take the money, I can’t open a dispute. I’ve called bookit and nothing. Paid 1100 and never got it back. DONT BOOK WITH THEM PLEASE

Bookit.com too my $1900

Bookit.com too my $1900 after I paid for a trip to Cancun for March 2020. They canceled the trip on March 17th, 2020, sent me an email on 3/21/20 informing me of the cancellation and that I should consult my bank! YOU TOOK MY MONEY, WHY SHOULD I BE FIGHTING WITH THE BANK IN 2021 FOR A REFUND?? Any information on how to get back my money is welcome. This is some bull!

FRAUDS IN THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY

The most Deplorable Service in the industry of travel! BEWARE***************WATCHOUT*********************FRAUDS*******************************(SCAMMERS*************
BOOKED with them through them with all confirmation monies and card paid showed up to no rooms for my family vacation in destin Florida at the Hilton H2 suites.

No booking, no rooms no confirmation. Most hotels will now tell you they have zero correlation with bookit.com

they scammed thousands of $ travelers…

they scammed thousands of $ travelers (that I know of). probably thousands more. they used the pandemic as an excuse to cancel and not refund monies to travelers leaving us to fight with our banks. DO NOT USE THEM!

Fraudulent charges

Bookit.com fraudulently charged my credit card for $39.99 in October and November 2020 and again in February 2021. I have never dealt with this company yet they steal my credit card information and use other people's money to further themselves. Shame on them!

SCAMMED BY BOOKIT!!!!

SCAMMED BY BOOKIT last March when they closed down completely after the covid pandemic hit. Had our all inclusive trip to Playa Del Carmen/Cancun paid in full by the end of Feb and then get notice basically saying too bad and oh by the way we're also keeping your money (almost $4500 for flights, resort and round trip airport transportation). Now a year later I am still trying to figure out how to get that money back. Would be nice to have it for a different trip. Hopefully we can get in on a class action lawsuit but I don't even know where to start yet with figuring that out. What a bunch of crooks to not refund people's money back to us. I hope this gets resolved and they get punished for what they did.

This company is a bunch of thieves

This company is a bunch of thieves. Paid for a vacation before covid hit, then they shutdown no one to answer phones or emails. The only people they have left working are the ones to turn down your refund request from your credit card company. Stole $2,500 from me. THIEVES!

I am shocked they kept taking money from people and never sent an e-mail to notify they are cancelling your trip. Was suppose go and celebrate a birthday and our anniversary in May 2020. Never got refunded.

I would give Bookit a zero but is not an option. This is not a travel company. They are thieves who have taken advantage of hard working people, such as myself and stole our hard working planned vacation. Shame on them!!!!

Frustrated with BookIt

Unfortunately I too am one of many many consumers who were left without a refund from BookIt after booking a trip and it being cancelled in April due to Covid. Initially I wasn’t too worried because I thought well I understand this Covid pandemic just fell in all our laps so we are all trying to figure things out... but when I tried to call and the number was no longer in service I was so confused. I purchased insurance through AIG and they refunded me money from the flight however nothing was refunded from my cancelled trip to Punta Cana. Soo yep I’m still paying on a trip that never was taken. It’s so sad that a company would do this without any type of remorse or communication. But what goes around comes around and they will get what they deserve.

Former Employee

I used to work at Bookit (not in customer service or sales). I worked there almost 10 years working my way through different departments through hard work and dedication. I finally made it to the department I loved working in, but they were funny about paying me for the amount of work I was doing. Out of almost 10 years I ended up making $4 more dollars an hour than where I started even though I had a Bachelors Degree. I was working on Aughust 17th and I was told that I was laid off as of an hour ago. I actually worked an hour extra and didn't get paid for it. Not to mention that I had 114 hours PTO they took and they didn't give the employees a severance package. I worked there almost 10 years and didn't have anything to show for it. Bookit did not refund their customers and they did not pay their employees. Any money they get should go towards refunding customers and paying former employees their PTO time and/or severance.

Honeymoon and 1 year anniversary

My husband and I scheduled our honeymoon and 1 year anniversary to Punta Cana in January. Bookit cancelled in March it’s been 6 months and I still haven’t received a refund on our $5700 trip. We took a loan out for the trip and have been paying it back and will continue paying it back despite NOT GOING ON OUR TRIP. We eloped and spent very little money on our wedding so that we could have a nice honeymoon, a honeymoon that we may now never get because of this whole scandal. I’ve contacted EVERYONE. The answer is always the same, sorry about your luck that really sucks. Honorable mention to AIG as the crappiest insurance ever. They did business with these scam artists and now are saying that they only cover non-refundable costs and bookits policy says that majority of the cost is refundable so the insurance company will only give me $1,150. I bet bookit and AIG are working together to scam people out of millions and splitting the rest. I’m absolutely livid over this $4,155 loss and no one will do anything to help.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!
My family pre-paid for a vacation and were forced to pay the resort AGAIN mid-stay because BookIt.com did not send them our money! This was back in March and I am still working with my credit card company to get back the original money that was paid to BookIt as they refused to issue a refund. This happened to HUNDREDS if not thousands of people and BookIt blamed it on COVID rather than taking responsibility for their poor operations.

Lost over $2,500

Lost over $2,500. They canceled my trip and received refunds so I can not get reimbursement or voucher for airline tickets or from the resort. Discover will not refund because the money was refunded to BookIt.com
