Unwanted Policy - cannot cancel!

I have been out of the country and had limited access to my phone, On returning to the UK, and several days before the renewal was due, which was 15th April, I attempted to contact Boom, to advise them I wished to cancel.the renewal as I'd found a cheaper quote. There was no option on the app and having failed to get a respond from the live chat, I emailed them and still no reply. After which I noticed they had taken the money (12th April). I find the lack of telephone support incredibly frustrating especially as a pensioner, with limited tech experience. I cannot afford to be paying out on an insurance I do not want, and cannot seem to cancel despite numerous attempts to contact them. Can anyone advise pls?

Had my policy for 9 months

Had my policy for 9 months, had a bump, Initially said they would process the claim, a week in they emailed saying they were not paying out. reading the reviews this is a common occurrence with them!
The next day e received an email saying they wouldnt renew my policy (due for renewal in the next week)
The damage on my car is cosmetic only it wasnt a bad bump.
Stay away from this company!
