Tech Support is incompetant

The support is horrible! My wife's phone was set up and working within an hour of starting the service including porting over her phone number from Consumer Cellular. My phone did not work even though Boost said it was compatible to their system. I spoke with over 15 tech support people over two weeks. There were inconsistencies in how to fix the problem. For example, one told me to go to a Boost Mobile store and get a new sim card. She said the IMEI number was wrong and it couldn't be changed. When I got to the store they said they do not have any Boost Infinite sim cards. I called back and they sent me a new sim card. It did not fix the problem. I was also told that the IMEI could be changed. This used up five days. On one call the tech person said she identified the problem and could fix it but she needed me to tell her the date and amount of my last payment as a security question. I said I had not made a payment yet because we had just opened the account. I asked if there was another security question she could ask me and she said no. I was able to open a chat on the Boost website and get the information that included the balance due and that there was no payment yet. (To get this information I provided security information the tech person already had.) When I tried to tell her the information she had ended the call. This call had taken 90 minutes.
There are many other examples of this incompetence. Of the 15 tech people, only 2 could speak English as a first language. The rest struggled with understanding questions, did not answer questions when they finally understood them, and overall did not know what they were doing except for a few basic processes. At the end of the frustration I was told that I needed to buy a new phone. I got one on Amazon and it seems to be working OK.
If you go with Boost Infinite be prepared for a lot of frustration if you have any issues outside of basic setup.

I cancelled my service with Boost…

I cancelled my service with Boost Infinite three months ago and they continue to take the money out of my account. I called and they said they can't do anything about it and it will eventually be taken care of. They would not allow me to speak with billing or anyone else.

Don't trust cheap companies they are sneaky

I haven't had this service for six months, and they have already pulled a fast one on me. If you get this service do not port over your number. I wanted to port over my number from Boost mobile and they couldn't, so I had to get a new number which wasn't an issue. Three months later my old number ports over without my knowledge and my bill goes from $26 to $80. They never contacted me informing me that the number was now available. They just added the line in the middle of the month and tacked of fees. When I called them about it all I got was "I'm sorry, there is nothing we can do". They waited three months to port a number I no longer wanted and made me pay for it.

UPDATE: After being told by the Boost Infinite customer rep that she was the highest person I could talk to about my issue (which I knew she was lying). I found out the Dish owns the company and contacted them. I sent a nice email explaining my issue and about a week and a half later I received an email back. The email explained what happen and I was issued a credit in the total amount. I also tweeted about my experience as well.

Horrible customer service

Signed up in January. Service was great price was fanomial. However, in May my service abruptly stopped. I spoke in chat with a customer service who tried to tell me all my data had been used, I had 2 minutes of talk time left and 14 texts. I ask him how was this possible if I had unlimited he seemed confused and said some would call me back to resolve the issue. That never happened. I wanted two hours after the alloted callback time and called Boost Infinite. After over an hour on the phone. I was advised my service was disconnected due to a billing error and it could take 24 to 72 hours for my service to be restored. This is way too long without service, and thet refused to escalate the issue. I ported my number over to visible after this. Boost Infinite has a lot of work to do with custome service.

I've been screwed by Boost Infinite!

Negative thing about Boost Infinite is that they have no stores. I signed up for service on 05/13 and got my new phone on 05/16. That is the only good thing that has happened with Boost Infinite. The phone was broken, would not charge. Called that afternoon and spoke to customer service who told me that I needed to call Motorola because that was the brand. I called Motorola and they told me that Boost should be dealing with the situation. Called Boost back. They told me that I would have to buy a new phone on my own and they will send me a label to send the broken phone back in. I was told definitely that Boost Infinite does not replace phones that are sent out broken. I called back a few hours later to confirm the information and was told that the information was wrong and that Boost will first have to make sure I did not break the phone. They told me that a new phone would be sent out by the end of the day and I will have it before the end of the week. Received an e-mail from Boost Infinite that they have denied my claim and they would do nothing. I called Boost Infinite the next morning 05/17 who told me that a replacement phone was sent out 35 minutes ago and that they do not know why I received that e-mail. I called that afternoon to get the tracking information on the phone and was told that no phone was sent out even though I was told that morning that it did. They said that they would create a "ticket." and have it worked on. I called the following morning and ws told that no phone was sent out, I asked to speak with management and was told that it was impossible because the Boost system was hacked. I asked to leave a message to have management contact me but they told me that that was impossible and that no management was available. The customer service told me that he was in Mexico City and there were no Management there. I called back this afternoon 05/18 and was told that the replacement phone was approved and that it has not been sent out yet and that it could take up to 5 days to send it and then there will be the shipping time so the whole process from now could take 7-10 days. During this time Boost charged me for the phone. I was told that I will get the phone when I get the phone and that's it. Other Companies have the same plans and phones that cost the same or cheaper and have stores that you can go into when there is a problem. I have been on the phone for over 5 hours with Boost Infinite and have received absolutely no resolution to my problem and I am out money that I paid for a broken phone.

Hoping they deliver as promised

I am in an area where att coverage is spotty. My speeds are almost nil except when I travel and am lucky enough to pass a tower. I keep getting promised that the service will be able to access tmobile and dish in the 1st quarter of 2023,so I'm hanging on until then. If they turn out to be lying,I'll be switching to a new provider-is a great concept, but the execution so far is lacking

Great Value

Easy to sign up online. AT&T coverage is very good. Have not found a dead spot so far. Extra fees and taxes are only 86 cents for my neck of the woods. The plan itself is $25 per month and includes 30 gigs of high-speed data. Good customer service. Great value.
