Over a year of delays and poor communication
My experience with Boothman Property has been extremely disappointing.
I first raised a concern in June 2025 about an oak tree planted just a few feet from my property’s boundary wall. My concern was simple: the tree had been planted by the developer in a location where it could eventually cause problems, and I asked for it to be removed while it was still small.
Since then, the matter has been characterised by repeated delays, poor communication and a lack of urgency.
It took months to arrange a site visit. Following that visit, Boothman Property acknowledged that the tree was too close to my boundary and later confirmed that the Directors would agree to its removal. However, despite accepting that it could be removed, they then stated that I should pay for the work, even though I neither planted the tree nor had any involvement in its location.
I challenged that decision and explained why I believed it was unreasonable. Ten days later, I had still received no response. Unfortunately, this has become a recurring pattern throughout the last year. Almost every stage of this matter has required me to chase for updates, often after weeks or months of silence.
What I find particularly disappointing is that Boothman Property’s website states that its focus is “protecting your building, supporting residents, and ensuring your property is managed efficiently and responsibly.” That commitment has not been reflected in my experience.
Whether or not you ultimately agree with my position regarding the tree, I do not believe it is acceptable for a resident to spend over a year repeatedly chasing a straightforward issue while receiving such slow and inconsistent communication.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Boothman Property.
