I didn’t like
The concept and idea is very good and simple but the end product doesn’t taste very good. I also had an issue with the lack of information available on the product packaging and the website about the cake ingredients and the flavour of the cake. it doesn’t even mention what type of cake it is! Good idea but it’s not executed very well.
I prefer to measure out my own ingredients so I know exactly what’s inside.

The packaging/label doesn’t mention any of the ingredients nor does it say the flavour of the cake. If I was buying this item in a store, I would have no idea what it is.
I did refer back to the website to check the ingredients but even then it’s not immediately obvious what flavour the cake is. With regards to the taste, it didn’t have a strong flavour, I found it too bland and I followed the instructions exactly.

It’s a shame you weren’t a fan of your Platinum Jubilee Cake Mix that you ordered.
The mix was a special version of our Unicorn Cake mix (which is an almond and white chocolate sponge) that we created with red, white and blue sprinkles in celebration of the Jubilee!
The packaging does explain what the cake is, and the listing on the website where you ordered it from also describes the cake and it’s flavours.
We’ve never had any feedback to say our mixes don’t taste very good (quite the opposite with our 3x Great Taste Awards). So I’d be really interested to hear what you didn’t like about it so we can look to improve any specials/one off mixes we produce in the future.
