Good product and delivery

Good product, exactly as expected. Delivery was fast and products were in a tidy, sturdy box with a nice looking logo (as graphic designer I take notice). I recommend Bottle of Italy and will order again.

Grazie Cristiano!!

I came across this company while organising my wedding in Italy. The products are very reasonably priced and allowed us to provide more alcohol options for our guests - far cheaper than the caterer's add-on package. I made a mistake by choosing a product that held up the delivery which caused a bit of chaos, but I was able to speak with Cristiano who immediately understood the problem and came up with a solution to ensure it was delivered in time for the wedding. Grazie Cristiano!!

Review total

Wine quality: 4-5 of 5 - just opened the cheapest bottle of red wine and it was surprisingly good mainly because it was fresh.
Delivery: 4-5 of 5 - no problems, just took a bit time and box was big.
Price: 5 of 5 - if you want a real high quality and original cheaper.
Service: 5 of 5 - all ok.
Overall: 4.75 = 5 stars and my thanks.

2 things went wrong

2 things went wrong. I ordered approx 150 euro of wine on april 20 with expected delivery time in 3 business days. on 23rd, they emailed it will be delivered "as soon as possible". on 28 of april I still did not receive anything so I sent them an email. No answer, only that a ticket was created. No response followed, only on 12th of may (more than 3 weeks after ordering) the wine was delivered. Some premium wine bottles were damaged but at least I had the wine in the end.

Ordered $250 worth of Italian cordials, never arrived...

Ordered $250 worth of Italian cordials over a month ago - with shipping promised in 14 days. Its now been nearly 6 weeks, and I've barely gotten a response out of the company, despite over TEN attemps. They've sent the same generic message saying that once they ship it for international shipping, they do not receive a tracking number until it clears customs here in the US. Which I find outrageous and categorically false. I've asked for the original Italian Post tracking number, as every package gets assigned one, so I can check in with customs to see where my package is (if they've even truly shipped it, which I have my doubts) and the company ignores my request. Will likely have to dispute this with my credit card company because this company is inept.

EDIT: Finally a very helpful customer representative texted and called me, and has been liasoning with me about the process. Apparently the shipment was indeed stuck in customs in Connecticut, and waiting for a release. While it took a month and a half, my order is now on the way and I have a UPS tracking code. Glad this was resolved finally. Will update again upon arrival.

Edit 6/4: Almost 2 months after order, my cordials finally arrived, safe and sound. Annoyingly long process, but got my product. I do wish the company was more responsive and offered better customer service instead of ignoring outreach, but overall, would buy again.

The packing was superb

The packing was superb. No broken bottles The delivery was not as quick as the blurb suggested it would be, not that I minded. It had to come all the way from the vineyard or the wholesaler. But it did eventually come. Just expect it to take longer than the advertising says it will.

Painful lesson

So my story started on March 13 so to get my order with a lot of problems took almost 2 months! It was first and of course the last time I have ordered. I must mark that the biggest problem was with delivery company, however seller choose it and even after very unsuccessful deliver they still continue ship through it so seller is not less responsible. First to ship out took a bit longer, because of some wines and that's okay, but after received the first box problems started. Delivery company broke the biggest part of parcel, so some bottle weren't delivered at all and all others damaged. DPD - delivery company is the worst thing can happen. Each and every time they damage, lost or stole the parcels. To return damaged bottle, I paid a lot of them so I didn't want them anymore, it took 2+ weeks for seller to organise pick up, I haven't seen communication and etc between them so can't comment on that. Finally those were return, to ship my coverage package took again almost two weeks and to deliver them again 2 weeks. in this time and price I could went to Italy buy wine and came back :)
This experience with Italian sellers was the first time and I think I won't do it again. The shop it self might offer some good deals, nice wines and polite communication but based on time frame they manage to do things and especially on their choice of DPD I would never order again, and will definitely advise others never ever choose them.

UPDATE.
At the end of several months demaged wine was changed. As I mentioned earlier, though under what conditions, after what time. But what ever, I forgrt tbe situation and didn't complain anywhere else. And today (2025.07.14) they started blackmail me with legal bases that I am wrong. Good luck others with orderings :)

Two carafes of Grappa and a bottle Barolo…

I had ordered two carafes of Grappa under the assumption that both were from the Barolo grape, but one turned out to be a Moscato.
This was responded to quickly, it also appeared to be on the site, so I should have read better.
Quick response and neat delivery.

I ordered in December for a Christmas…

I ordered in December for a Christmas present, it's now March and the order has still not arrived. I've contacted customer services multiple times, chasing them when I've had no response, but they refuse to either refund or offer me a replacement. Super unhelpful. Worst service I've ever had.

Update: a week after I posted this review, I opened a chargeback with my bank and only then did they agree to send a replacement. After three months and almost 20 emails exchanged.

Sometimes we need friendly help

I made several orders since June 2023 and all of them were delivered correctly, swiftly and with care.
Order was very easy , the site offers good information on each wine and excellent quality of this olive oil. You can find good wines away from the main paths!
Perfect packaging and no complaints. When ordering higher than 149 Euro, transportation is free of charge in Europe.

In December 24 some problems with delivery due to heavy damage caused by carrier BRT/DPD.
”Bottle of Italy” made a new delivery after their own investigation with high quality standards.
Friendly communication with GIORGIA by Email in German language, binding and professional, her help was excellent.
Public holidays (Christmas, New Year) extended the delivery time, but everything arrived in good conditions.
Happy to receive my orders, will order again!
