Great idea and execution! Sturdy, well made (and packaged!) light/alarm. Very pleased with it!

After my bike got stolen, I got this alarm to add some more security to my replacement bike. So far it has worked great (fortunately no live tests, just myself giving it the run over), very responsive, with a loud noise produced by the alarm, but I feel it has just enough give that I'm confident that it shouldn't be set off by an accidental knock for example.
Set up was straight forward with the youtube guide and it attached firmly to my handlebar, I liked the neat box and that everything needed for setup (inc. screwdrivers) was provided. Only note was that the optional foam insert stopped the front cover plate from screwing down properly, for me it was fine without that on.
The light is really good, I cycle a lot in the evening so I've used the high beam mostly, which produces a clear light on the road, but it means I have needed to charge it more often. The choice of light modes are good though, the middle intensity setting seems fine for most roads, and there is also a strobe light option.
So overall an excellent product and great customer service. I live in the city centre where bike theft is unfortunately common, but this provides a strong deterent to any would be theives. So combined with a good quality D-lock, I feel confident that my bike is safe, even here. A few friends have already shown interest in this and I was happy to recommend it to them!

Prior to purchase I had a query, very promptly answered by Obadiah. Purchase arrived promptly, nicely packaged with clear instructions and tools to install. Plus v good videos on their site and you tube of how it works and installation. Pleased with my purchase. No bike is completely free from theft, but I believe this will be an excellent additional deterrent, cos thief's are lazy 😉

This is light. It is easy to pair the torch and base unit. The only negatives are, that it takes a long time for the alarm to go off if activated, and charging takes a long time.

Would definitely recommend this cycle light alarm. Gives you peace of mind for security of your bike. Easy to install also rechargeable no need to worry about buying batteries. Decent price when you think what it would cost to replace a stolen bike.

I found your service first rate, and the product seems exactly what I wanted, and matched the description I read accurately.

A brilliant light which doubles as a loud effective alarm.
Finally we have a fit for purpose bike alarm for those moments when you need to leave the bike unattended for a few minutes.
Of course you lock it. But we all know that thieves can beak a lock in a few moments.
So this alarm is peace of mind for us bikers. And a damn good light too!

I saw the Bouh SR-600 bicycle alarm/front light advertised in “Cycle” magazine and I have been wanting to buy one for a while. I also needed to replace my old bicycle light because the quick-release on the handlebars wouldn’t close. I thought that it was a good price (£75 instead of £125) with a code. When it arrived, it came in a smart white box with ‘SR-600 Founders Edition’ on it. There were instructions included and I also viewed the videos to help install the alarm/light. The light itself was made with a black metal casing and had 5 different light modes including strobe. It had to be charged for about 5 hours before pairing with the alarm. The alarm had to be fitted to the handlebars and came with the tools and clamp. To pair the torch with the alarm attachment, you have to hold the two buttons together. When the alarm goes off, it is very loud but it is also possible to use the bike light instead. The alarm/bike light is advertised for £65 with a code now, advertised in the ‘Cycle’ magazine and is a very well designed, quality item.

Very little experience with it yet. It certainly makes a good front light, but it has only been used twice as an anti theft device.

Since a neighbour had shed broken into and bike stolen ive been worried about a repeat on mine.
Worry no more this little alarm is just what i needed along with a chain connected to the lawn mower puts fears to rest.

Alarm is good but could be louder then it is.Got my bike stolen any way.I did not believe that people are stealing that much and I just left the bike for 15 minutes locked.When I came no one heard anything,looks to me like professional job they probably load the bike in a van or something real quick.So make shore you gold locker and insurance.

I have had this Bouh for a few months, and it works well. It was fiddly to fit and I needed to view the You Tube videos a couple of times to fit it.
The alarm is very effective, as I found by trying to ride off without fitting the light. Hopefully loud enough to deter, though I never saw anyone take the slightest notice when the alarm went off.
The light is pretty good, with several flashing options.
I quickly lost the cover that you put on when taking the light off.

Very practical - Functions as both a torch and alarm. Torch has 5 different settings and is also significantly bright. Alarm would definitely deter someone from stealing my bike.

I have been using my Bouh for a few months, and it works well. It was fiddly to fit with poor instructions, but I got there. The alarm is very effective, but not that loud. Hopefully loud enough to deter those that it needs to. The light is pretty good, and I'm very happy with the daytime flashing options.

This is an excellent product. Well designed, solid constructed, simple to install and set up. I’ve recently completed a six week solo tour in Australia with it and it was trouble free throughout. The increased security provided considerably reduced any anxiety when leaving the bike during the numerous meal and shopping trips which are an essential part of solo touring. No testing for real but I did absentmindedly try to wheel the bike away without resetting it once and it sure frightened the life out of me!

The quality of this product is first class and it worked exactly as stated straight out of the box. Being able to get an email query sorted from the inventor within an hour is exceptional service. I hope the long term use is as favourable as the initial impressions.

Bouh are honest about this product being new and still in development. This being said, I find the product excellent and worth not only the offer price, via Cycle UK, I but also the full price I would have paid. The written instructions and the website videos are clear enough and the Bouh response to my comments was prompt and helpful. So I feel I like both the firm and its product.
I ride a hugely expensive recumbent e-trike and use the alarm and a simple, compact and robust combination lock to quickly secure and quickly release it.
Users will need to check with their insurance company that they regard this as secure enough or, as I do, take whatever risk is involved if their cycle is in a reasonably safe area for a reasonable time.

I have to update my review. With the excellent help from customer service i need to upgrade my review to 5*.
