High quality in every respect
More than 25 years ago we used this company to replace most of our windows and they did a fantastic job. We recently had them replace the ones not done originally and the service, quality of work, attention to detail and final outcome was of the same high quality we had previously experienced. We are very pleased with the new windows and the old ones are still in incredibly good condition. We really do recommend them very highly.

My new sash windows are Absolutely stunning - and draughts and rattles are now things of the past! The installers were extremely Courteous, Professional and hardworking, clearly taking great pride in their work, and installed our windows extremely efficiently. The house was left tidy and secure at the end of each day. The Customer service throughout was second to none; they ensure your complete satisfaction via their Professionalism. Both the process and the product were explained very clearly and helpfully throughout. I am delighted with my Stunning windows, and would highly recommend The Original Box Sash Window Company.

What an excellent company
What an excellent company! From the first visit by the Estimator, right through to the Installation Team, The Original Box Sash Windows Company have been exceptional. The windows and door they made specifically for my house are outstanding and of the highest quality – they look absolutely stunning.
Everyone I have spoken to at the company have been helpful and they have guided me through the process of my windows being hand made at their factory. The guys who installed them were polite, worked very hard and cleaned up after themselves.
I highly recommend this company!

The Original Boxsash Window Company…Highly Recommended
The Original Boxsash Window Company have been Professional and a Joy to deal with from my Initial contact with a Lovely Lady called Tania and throughout the whole process. They were the most competitively priced (They manufacture all their products in house which obviously controls their costs). The Surveyor and the Installer were both extremely skilled time-served craftsmen, and their work was Fabulous. They did not leave a speck of dust behind and the windows and doors that they have installed are Stunning and have completely transformed my property.

I used to be a big fan of this company
I used to be a big fan of this company. They were a pleasure to deal with. In 2003 they fitted 15 windows and a door in my workshop, and three years later replaced all the sash windows in my flat. Twice a year I filled in the lifetime guarantee form, a reassuring part of the purchase.
Then the bottom sash of one window wouldn't stay open. I emailed the company 26th July.
I got a chilly, defensive reply, "...this is to inform you we are now under new ownership. The new owner is continuing with aftercare service as before, so parts are free of charge, however there will still be a charge for labour and a surveyors visit if needed."
I asked for a quote. None arrived. 10th September I emailed again.
The quote for fixing one sash cord was £456 payable in advance.
I no longer recommend this company.

We are honouring agreements that customers have had with previous owners (the company has actually changed hands twice since 2003) and that includes parts supplied without charge. The labour involved in repairing your window is considerable and it has to be carried out by one of our own Master Craftsmen to ensure the repair is of the highest quality. We believe the cost is on par with having a high value product repaired to a very high standard by one of the craftsmen who make these prestigious bespoke windows, and this is no different to how the company has always worked, and the charges have not been increased for many years.

Returning customer
I purchased TOBSWC windows for the front of my house 15 years ago and they have retained their good looks and functionality. I have recently gone back to the company to replace the rest of the windows and doors at the rear of my house. The new units are as good as those previously fitted and the installation was carried out with great care and consideration. Overall I am very pleased with the results, with improved light and warmth, and with the quality of the design, materials and fittings.

Cheepest quote, excellent job
OBSWC came in with the cheapest quote to replace a window. (I'm guessing that as they make the windows themselves this keeps costs down). Both the man who measured up, and the fitter himself, were clearly very good old-school craftsmen, and the replacement was done perfectly. The contract had specifically said they would not be able to touch up paintwork around the window, and I would have been happy to do it myself, but the fitter did it anyway without me asking - I think the craftsman in him couldn't bare to leave the job not fully finished. The cheapest quote and an excellent job, what more can I say?

I’m happy to recommend
We had visits and quotes from two companies, but we were impressed by the knowledge of the salesperson and the practical proposal for replacement of our 130 year old sashes whilst retaining our frames. Pricing was at the top end of our budget, but we were very impressed by the results.
Our fitter was punctual, polite and very tidy and organised in the way he worked. After each day he left the rooms and access paths clean and tidy. The results are outstanding. We have draught-free, elegant double-glazed windows which are a very close facsimile of the originals. The house is instantly quieter and appreciably warmer.
We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience.

Whilst we were told to expect a two day insulation the two fitters worked from 8am till just before 7pm to get the entire job completed in one day.

I have used this company before and would use them again. Excellent service. Quality product, fitted well, good finish - no compliants! There was a bit of delay due to the pandemic, but the company worked around this and we were able to find a window of opportunity during the summer to complete the fitting. Truly impressive customer service and you get what you pay for and more with Box Sash. Quality is assured and the craftsmanship is second to none. We went with Box Sash because we still have mint condition windows installed in 2000 so we knew 20 years on that they were going to be good and we are delighted. You don't just buy windows but a piece of furniture that complements your period property.
