Brainyspinach classes have been perfect for my PDAer when he has capacity as they are flexible, fun, safe and supportive and don't feel like school did! His numeracy has improved tons through gaming and the social side is great too. Thanks Brainyspinach!

BrainySpinach classes/groups were exactly what I was looking for my two sons. (But BrainySpinach sessions are much better than I'd expected for a Roblox group) the boys are Roblox mad! but found it difficult to play with others safely. They've thoroughly enjoyed their sessions so far and being home educated, this is a great source of social interactions and part of our weekly schedule now. Both children are neurodivergent and I'm confident in Jon's support for both during their sessions. Jon always answers any questions I have. 5* from us.

Child led learning, bringing a wide range of maths concepts and practical maths into a fun, social and accessible format, fostering high levels of engagement. Any child will benefit from these lessons, but this is really a place where autistic and demand avoidant traits/strengths are nurtured and children can shine. Classes are a highlight of my child's week. I would strongly encourage parents, schools and local authorities to use this provision for children with SEND, barriers to education and EOTAS packages.

So pleased we discovered Jonathon aka Brainy Spinach. My child has largely unable to access the classroom, let alone school for nearly two years now and scared of any kind of learning. Brainy Spinach has provided an accessible and safe way for my child to learn and socialise. Jonathan is calm, creative and reassuring, but most of all, aware of the issues that make learning and communication difficult for SEND children. My child cannot wait for each session to start and really helped his confidence. In addition to all of this, communication is fantastic and I was really impressed with our first progress report. Thank you Jonathon!

One of the best ways to teach children Maths who are struggling with it! Mr Wilde has patience, tolerance and by the end of the classes, your child WILL improve with their Maths.

Well ! What can I say.
I have a 12 yr old with ASD, ADHD and complex school trauma that will not engage in anything that hints at education.
Tried the taster sessions and he loved it so much he is begging to do it daily.
Amazing.

Jon is calm and encouraging which really put my son at ease. He never wants anything to do with Maths work but he was so engaged the entire time. Really looking forward to joining in again and hopefully in time will bring out his confidence ( was first time playing so a-bit quiet)

My son has been enjoying the sessions with John. As an autistic child with PDA he struggled at school and lost a lot of the joy of learning he once had, and the subtle way maths is introduced in an environment he enjoys is great.

Jon is an amazing find. My children have varying needs but they ALL want to play with him. Jon is genuinely invested in what they like and how to get the best out of them. My child with most complex needs and situational mute online has been going around doing maths examples out loud since he started with Jon 2 months ago. Jon is always available if we need him and working hard on a great product.

Jon is absolutely brilliant. My daughter actually asks when she can have another lesson, this is unheard of as normally she shuts down with anything Maths related. Jon is calm and positive throughout the class. Thank you! We really hope there will be an after school class option soon so we can carry on.

My daughter became home educated after lacking support in school. She was left with a hate towards Maths especially, something she felt she could never get her head around. In particular, she really wanted to be confident in ‘life maths’, the everyday use of your brain involving maths. Jon has tailored our one to one sessions to suit us. Building confidence slowly and making my daughter realise that she has a lot of the knowledge there already, and is able to believe in her skills to use it. Jon is so calm, and so adaptable. I have noticed if my daughter is showing less interest or not engaging as much, Jon can quickly regain that interest by moving onto something else that will refocus her. This in itself is a genius craft, and shows he has a real passion and skill for working with children with additional needs. If your child also has a love of gaming, the ways in which this can be used to learn is beyond how I could’ve foreseen it. Thank You Jon, we appreciate you.

Our Home Education journey started in January 2022. At that point, my then 8 year old daughter was showing obvious signs of trauma due to formal schooling. She needed a long period of low demand education that didn’t replicate school

Jon was amazing at tailoring a programme that fitted my daughter’s criteria. He was empathetic to her specific needs and very adaptable.
Jon uses Roblox to teach my daughter a wide range of mathematical concepts.
He focuses very much on her interests and has even helped her to build her bracelet business.

Jon has built a good relationship with my daughter. He is calm, consistent and fun without being overwhelming. He doesn’t make huge demands on her and cleverly presents his expectations without undue pressure.

My daughter gains a great deal from Jon’s sessions and very much looks forward to them.

Can't thank Jon enough. Maths in our house are not a strong point, but my daughter attends Jon's online classes, and she is finding maths so much more relaxing. She is so switched on, ready to learn in every class. once the class has come to an end, she always wants to do another class straight after. I always get why does the time always flies by in Jon's classes

Jon or Brainy (Spinach) as we know him has had a hugely positive impact on my son who was struggling in many ways one year ago. We first came across Jon when we were looking for someone who shared a love of Roblox Obby's. My son loved the live games on Saturday afternoons and gradually started to grow in confidence as well as become a dab hand at his time tables! Jon was the first person during home ed that my son gelled with - he knows how to gently support, build confidence and self esteem and share his enthusiasm. We can't imagine we could have found a better match and we are hugely grateful to Jon for his support and guidance which has helped my son to be in a much better place as well as learning new skills along the way. Jon knows how to get the best out of every child and will meet them in the place that they are most comfortable and be guided by the child's needs and learning style. He's a rare find and highly recommended! Thank you.

My 11-year-old granddaughter wasn't particularly inspired by maths.
After taking up lessons with Brainy Spinach she has developed new enthusiasm for numerical problems and her results in school exams have improved immensely. Together with this renewed enthusiasm her confidence has really increased. Jon is working wonders building maths confidence for my 9 year old son. His approach is calm, explanations clear and concise and the lessons are really tailored around the student. At the end of each lesson we have a catch up where Jon offers advice and tips on what to work on for the coming week. Highly recommend, thanks Jon!!

My son has autism and ADHD and has a real phobia of mixing with other children. He has however become very interested in use of online gaming such as Roblox. This has given him an avenue to build social interactions. He does have a tendency to becoming over emotional when things are not working. This is where we sought the assist of Jon. I am happy to say that Jon's ability to guide Logan and mentor him through some gaming challenges calmly and with compassion has been a rare talent.
I would highly recommend Brainy Spinach for learning through online play and for interaction for children with such conditions as my son.

My son absolutely loves doing the Brainy Spinach classes. Jon is so kind, patient and helpful, and he is just really great at what he does.
