I’ve been going to Brakes Plus on Leetsdale in Glendale for 20 years, and they’ve consistently been one of the most trustworthy and reliable shops I’ve worked with.
Every time I come in, they’re upfront about what’s going on with my car and never try to upsell anything unnecessary. They take the time to explain things clearly, which I really appreciate.
On my most recent visit, they truly went above and beyond with their customer service. Not only did they take care of everything quickly and efficiently, but they also helped me out with a discount, which meant a lot.
It’s hard to find a shop you can genuinely trust, and this team has earned that over and over again. Fast, honest, and great people—highly recommend.

The GMC dealer in Golden, CO told me I needed a $1600.00 replacement of brake pads & rotors on my 2022 GMC Canyon. Upon Inspection by the tech at Brakes Plus 9115 Howell St. Arvada, CO, my back brakes still had 80% left, the front rotors they resurfaced and installed new upgraded pads. Total job done while I waited and the bill came to $354.29. Gilbert Fransua and Mike B were a pleasure to do business with!

Had my brakes done in Wylie several months ago. Dealt with Dylan and he did a great job explaining everything, was patient with my questions and the shop did a great job fixing the brakes. Called to take my wife's car in and learned Dylan had been moved to a new store in Fate. I took my wife's car to Fate just to have Dylan take care of me. He's gained my trust and is the person I will be taking my car to in the future.

I had a great experience at the brakes plus location on Val Vista Drive. They were able to determine what the problem was and fix it in a timely manner. Zander Sager was especially helpful in explaining what was happening with my vehicle and why the parts needed to be fixed. I will definitely use them again.

I’m super disappointed with this Brakes Plus location. I’ve had work done by BP before and had a good experience.
I referred a family member to them and they treated her horribly.
The mechanic that worked on her vehicle messed up when installing her new brakes and would not admit it. When my family member got her car back, it was making a loud clunking noise that it never made before. She brought this to the attention of the manager, who brought the mechanic out to take a test drive with her. The mechanic was blaming it on her bad struts and proceeded to drive over speed bumps faster than she should have to try to make the struts make noise. The struts are older and do need to be replaced soon, but they are not failing yet, and the noise was completely new.
The mechanic proceeded to gaslight my family member, telling her that it was definitely the struts and that’s the only thing that would be making that noise. After the test drive, where she drove completely unprofessionally, my family member asked if the manager would take a look at it. He said yes, we will take a look at it, and lifted it up on the lift and pointed a flashlight at each tire, and that was it. He said, “I don’t see anything wrong. It’s definitely your struts.” He didn’t take any of the tires off or do any due diligence.
The mechanic, who is a lady, was completely rude and adamant that she had done millions of these and she knows for sure she didn’t mess anything up. My family member ended up leaving in tears and calling me to tell me what happened. She then proceeded to take her vehicle back to a different Brakes Plus the following day. The mechanic there noticed the problem immediately and fixed her mistake.
I specifically sent her there because she is a woman and I know women get taken advantage of by mechanics all the time. That lady mechanic and her manager should be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of a single mom. The mechanic’s attitude was completely unprofessional and she has no business dealing with customers.

Great experience! It was my first time getting work done on vehicle, they fixed the issue. I’m having a different issue with my vehicle and I’m looking forward to taking it back to breaks plus to get the work done!

Before you have them do any work on your car be sure to check the actual retail price on your parts. They quoted me $99.99 on a thermostat that retails for $26.00 a 300% markup. They wanted to sell me a 3-quart flush on a car with 151,000 miles on it too which is not recommended for a car that age, it can damage your car,1 quart to replace the coolant you have to drain to do the job is plenty. they did my alternator and marked it up $135. The shop that diagnosed my alternator said my battery was fine, the brakes plus shop that replaced my alternator said the battery was fine. the tow truck driver that towed it to brakes plus when my starter relays went out said it was fine, but when the brakes plus I had it towed to told me they didn't have the equipment to diagnose it and had to tow it to another brakes plus that did, put another battery in it without permission. How do 3 people in 3 weeks including a brakes plus shop tell me I don't need a battery and all of a sudden, I do? They held my car hostage 4 days and sent a Lyft for me at the last minute so there wouldn't be anybody there to put the old one back in. It seems to me that this company lures you in with their cheap oil change and then rapes you on any parts you need.

Came to the Valley for spring break. Brakes got bad when we reached our hotel. Called to check availability and got in within 20 minutes. Diagnosed problem in less than 45 minutes. Worked out a deal with us and had us ready to go in less than 2 hours total. Great experience and staff!!!

Brakes Plus - 3837 N 168th St, Omaha, NE - Re:Cohen.
I’ve been going to this Brakes Plus location since they opened. All three cars in our household are serviced at the shop at 168th and Maple, and moments like this remind me why.
The other evening, after work, I stopped at Walmart and came back out to a silent vehicle. The car was not starting up to get me home. Just a lonely parking lot and the slow realization that the day wasn’t quite finished with me yet.
So I said "Siri, call Brakes Plus 168th and Maple"
They were busy, but the manager, Cohen, came out personally to the rescue. He said "I'm your man" like his namesake, the great Leonard Cohen. (RIP)
He met me in the Walmart parking lot and tested the battery. Now, there’s an easy song a mechanic could sing at that moment: “You need a new battery… that’ll be $300.” I probably would’ve nodded along to the chorus.
But that’s not the tune he played. Cohen played a song called "integrity".
He told me honestly that the battery wasn’t the issue and that the car needed deeper diagnostics. He referred me to another nearby Brakes Plus that had the right techs and equipment to properly repair the vehicle.
I offered to pay him for coming out. He just smiled and asked me to pay it forward.
So here is my small hallelujah.
There’s a chord you don’t hear enough in car repair: honesty and integrity. When the manager named Cohen shows up in a parking lot, tells you the truth instead of selling you something you don’t need, and asks for nothing in return… I hear a song.
"The car won’t start, the night falls through,
A busy shop but he came through,
And every honest answer sang hallelujah."
Great people. Honest service. This is why every car in our house keeps coming back.

Been coming here for many years, and the service has always been exceptional! Today, Josh helped me out, and he was super friendly and helpful. Not only did he explain everything and what to expect, he also had a personal approach with my boyfriend and I and was very cool and talked about many things with us. I’m glad to know despite other favorites leaving, they are hiring some great individuals to replace them.

Amazing service. They still helped me even after they were getting close to closing! Would definitely go again!

A visit to Brake Plus turned out better than expected. Right from stepping inside, each person made it clear they were paying attention. Not once did anyone push extra work just to close a sale. Instead, helpfulness came through naturally. Most places rush you along, but here things moved differently. People took time without making me feel like a burden. Honesty showed up in every answer given. What could have been stressful felt handled. Care mattered more than cash.
Few places bother to break things down so carefully, yet they did - handling each question without rushing. What stands out is how calmly every step unfolded, guided by genuine care rather than routine politeness. Their way of listening closely, then responding thoughtfully, set a different rhythm altogether. Most shops rush through tasks, but here the pace felt natural, almost quiet. The real difference? A manner that respects your time without making you feel like just another stop on their list.
Anyone needing dependable car care should try Brake Plus - they’ve got people who pay attention. Big appreciation goes to every member of their crew for making things smooth.

My alignment done in and less than 60 days I was taking a trip and my tire blew up because of the alignment being bad. I had to have it towed realigned and buy two new tires because the other tire was getting ready to bust. I have complained to the manager he gave me an email to send to the company. I was trying to get reimbursed. I know there was a warranty and their reply to my reimbursement. My complaint was closed. Didn’t get my reimbursement. Can’t get the manager at the location to call me back or the company to respond to me. Communication has been horrible

My check engine light came on today, did the usual; went to an auto part store to get the little code reader test to see what code was coming up. Code 0012, on a 2019 Nissan Frontier. Was told to go to Brakes Plus for a diagnostic test. Tanner greeted me right away and checked a few things, added some oil; I was 4 quarts low, 🫨. Then discussed with me what my next move should be, didn’t try to up sale me; didn’t try to suggest unnecessary costly things. Just genuine honest suggestions. I will be doing a diagnostic, where he said he would give me a list of urgent to not urgent things I need to have done and go from there. Finally!!!!! A mechanic who isn’t out to bankrupt the customer. I will definitely be using his services for my truck and I will recommend him to anyone I can from now on. Thank you so much Tanner, I appreciate you more than you know.
Your new customer for life
