Took in my '15 Equinox for recommended fluids replacement. They noticed I had a couple of bad ball joint boots and control arm bushing. Replacement cost was fair and they took the time to make sure everything was right before I left. I've been taking cars here for nearly 20 years. I recommend this shop!

My grandfathers truck was dead in the driveway. I walked up to the mechanic shop and they were quick to fit me with the right battery and drive me back to help install it. They saved time and money with their time. I highly recommend using them. Savannah Carrollton Texas

I live in Firestone, Colorado and own four vehicles. Mike Johnson was the manager at the Brakes Plus shop in Firestone and handled all my repair needs for a number of years. He was always very knowledgeable and professional and the service was outstanding. He helped me with several difficult problems with my two Mustangs that were way above and beyond what a normal shop would perform. Mike is now at the Brakes Plus in Longmont and all my vehicles will now be serviced there even though I have to drive a ways to get there. Mike just serviced my Traverse last weekend and my service was excellent as always. Several of my friends now get their cars serviced at Brakes Plus because of Mikes record of service with me.

The Brakes plus location in Davenport, Iowa on Elmore Rd. is my go to location for oil changes and brake work now. I appreciate their honesty and lack of upsell on things i don't need, although they do a thorough inspection of the vehicle and let you know of any issues they find. They have always been able to get me in and out quickly.

My car needed an oil change, and I decided to visit Brakes Plus on Oralabor Road in Ankeny, Iowa to have the work done. I initially called to see if I could bring my car in or did, I need to schedule an appointment.

Kelsey answered the phone at Brakes Plus. She was extremely nice and answered all my questions. She took down my personal and car information and said she would hold a spot for my vehicle. I could come in at my leisure. This was nice. We discussed pricing and possible discounts that might be available.

Brakes Plus does offer a military discount as well as other discounts periodically. They will give you the largest of the discounts available when you have your car serviced and that is a BIG PLUS in my book.

The service department does a thorough job inspecting your vehicle for potential problems that may be coming your way. This service was made available to me, bundled in the oil change package I decided to purchase. Also got my tires rotated.

They will notify you of any problems found. They saw an issue with my shocks. I will address their replacement during my next oil change. Didn't have the funds to tackle that today.

The maintenance performed was quick. Seemed like I just got there and suddenly, I was ready to leave. This is another PLUS. Now I see why they call themselves Brakes PLUS!

The prices Brakes Plus offer are reasonable in today's marketplace. I understand how hard it is to work on vehicles. The technician's labor costs help to allow the company to make a fair profit, to keep their doors open and to give their employees a generous wage for work performed. Nothing is cheap, this day and age. Rolling with the punches is the new norm.

Cost of vehicle parts are what they are. Companies cannot bank on the cost of parts to help keep their doors open. Company money is generally not made here.

I would like to commend the two individuals I came in contact with at Brakes Plus today.

The first was Kelsey. She is pleasant, knowledgeable and willing to go that extra mile to ensure the customer is well taken care of. Thanks Kelsey.

Then there was Rick. He is on the vehicle maintenance side of the business. He was courteous and also knowledgeable in all aspects of vehicle repair. He easily explained my vehicle repairs and potential found problems in a way anyone could understand the logic. He provided a few suggestions on having my shocks replaced and I was pleased he took the time to fully explain my repair options.

In closing, I feel Brakes Plus is the place to go for oil changes and other vehicle maintenance when needed. Check their website for all the services they offer.

Josh was amazing helping me find the best options for my Mercedes brakes. He also did a great job keeping me updated as well as giving me the best prices. Will go to this shop again!

I took my expedition there on Saturday February 21st at 1pm. From talking to Lindsey to set up my appointment all the way to getting the work done, the team was amazing. Chris got me checked in and did the inspection of what I needed. When I check in with them from shopping they were just finishing the inspection. Lindsey got a quote for me and Chris actually took me into the back to show me how bad the damage was. When I seen the damage there was another mechanic named Trey and he explained to me how bad the damage actually was. The team was super knowledgeable with everything and went above and beyond to get things taken care of. Lindsey automatically put a discount on my services and Trey said if I could give them a day to look at my vehicle that they will give me honest feedback and time frames for fixing things. I originally went for both front and back rotors and breaks but they did not do all of them and told me my front was still good and did not need to be done. By them telling me that my front does not need to be done and not doing all four for the money shows they are honest with their customers which you do not see very often. Most place will just do all four for the money even though you do not really need them. I really appreciate their honesty. Staff is very friendly, helpful and most of all customer service was amazing! Highly recommended! This place deserves more then 5 stars. If I could give them more I definitely would!

This is the best place to take your car for repairs. The staff is so friendly.They welcome you with a smile. Explained every thing that was wrong with our car. Had to replace our battery and a few other things. Sent us home with a quote for other things that we need to get fixed. We will be back to get the other things fixed. I love this place.

They got to my vehicle the next day.

I had an appointment to have my brakes checked. I left the location and went walking around and returned several hours later. My car had not even been in the garage yet. I was not very happy and ended up leaving. Before leaving I lost my temper (which I regret) and ended up making an appointment two days later. I returned at said time and my car went right into the garage. Will, the service department manager, came to the waiting area and told me that all brakes would need to be replaced as well a rotors machined. He took an additional $100 off my bill for my previous experience. He asked me if I could use a lift home. There is a mall close to this location and I asked if I could get a ride there. Will personally took me to the mall and picked me up. My car was ready to go when we returned to the garage. I even noticed that they replaced my valve stem caps that were missing. I can't say enough about the consideration and sincerity Will showed me. Vince is another great employee at this location. Thank you for making my experience so much better than when it started.

I brought my car in for a check engine light and as I expected, there was a part that was failing and needed replacement. They also let me know there were oil leaks in two other places, and if I didn’t pay over $1700 to replace those parts, there would be severe engine damage. I ended up taking my car to the dealership and they did the work needed under warranty. At the end they told me they found no other issues with my car and, shockingly, no oil leaks!! I specifically asked about the two oil leaks Brakes Plus found and they told me that was absolutely not true.

Incredibly disappointed Brakes Plus would do this as I have had positive experiences at other Brakes Plus locations. I would definitely get a second opinion on any work they recommend or avoid this shady business altogether.

Kory toms on 1st ave cedar rapids charged me 227 bucks to fix the emergency brake. its been in his shop 3 times since 2/4/26. I picked it up yesterday still not fixed after he had it all day. Now its making a weird noise in front end and he lied to me said it was fixed. Picked it up and weird noise up front, seat all the way back and smells like cigarettes. He basically said after I've been trying to get my brake done for 3 weeks he don't know how to get it done. kory toms also stated corporate was out till next week and i would have to call back in wth my new address if i wanted reimbursed . Do not go here you will get overcharged and the work will not be completed just, lie after lie after lie from the so called manager kory toms

I called the day prior to my appointment and was assisted by Mack. He was very kind and patient with me and was able to get me an appointment for the following day at roughly 9AM.

When I went in for my tire alignment the following day, it was Mack who greeted me. Again, he was very kind, patient, and pleasant. It didn't take long for my tire alignment to be completed and when it was, he notified me and let me know that my passenger side tire was BALD! You could see the silver threading within. Thankfully, there is a Discount Tire that they're partnered with, so I was able to go next door for assistance with that, as well as a much-needed rotation.

This location has very honest employees. While I sat there waiting for my vehicle's service to be finished, I overheard other customers checking in. There was a particular guy who thought he needed his brakes replaced (I believe) because they were squealing, but Mack reassured him that his brakes were fine and that it was because of the change in weather that was affecting the brakes (and I believe he mentioned the grease that was on them playing a factor in the squealing).

Mack took the customer to his car to view his brakes, too. Prior to Mack taking him to his vehicle to show the guy his working brakes, he had told him that he didn't want to take his money for a service he didn't need. He had relented and said that if the client really wanted to replace his brakes, they'd do it, but he strongly believed that it was unnecessary.

It just showed me that these employees have integrity and morals. I'm a woman, so I always feel as though I need to have my guard up when getting my car serviced, otherwise I'll be told that there are things wrong with my car when there really isn't anything wrong. And having worked in Hospitality, I know how important it is to be recognized for such efforts, and I want other women to know that they'll be taken care of at this location.

This location has an extremely pleasant team who seem to get along with each other very well, who share laughs with each other and their clients. I live about 25 minutes away in West Phoenix and only came to this Chandler location because I work near the Wild Horse Pass reservation, but I WILL be going to this location for my car's services, especially if Mack is working here. I trust him and his colleagues with my vehicle.

I had a great experience with Brakes Plus! I spoke with Jerry a couple of times on the phone before coming in, and he was incredibly knowledgeable, patient with all of my questions, and genuinely friendly. He’s honestly the reason I chose Brakes Plus over other places (him and the price).
When I arrived, the store did not disappoint. Every team member was helpful and professional, and the service was efficient. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time, and the price was better than other quotes I received. I highly recommend this location!

3535 1st ave cedar rapids manager Kory Tom's sold me pads rotors and a parking brake kit for 710 bucks on 2/4/26. Picked it up on 2/4 parking brake wasn't working. I told him I was moving out of town and ordered a trailer. He said he would order cables and it took two weeks to get back in because of unreliable employees and management just don't care. He said cables would be here anywhere from the 8th till the 12th he would call me. So he doesn't call so I called him on the 14th. We make a apt for today the 18th am I'm there at 8 am. I sit in waiting area and Kory suggest he gets me a lift its going to be A couple hours and he would call me. This is 9 am today Wednesday. I dont hear from him and I call at 4pm he says he's just finishing up and I could pic up in a hour. I pick up car and no emergency brake same issue. Then he says he can't fix it or doesn't know how. Kory then told me after I said i was going out of town the corporate was out until next week and he would need my new address to be reimbursed. 3 weeks I still dont have a parking brake and I tow a trailer. He never ordered the cables and lied over and over just hoping I had moved already. Stay away Kory Tom's lies

Woody and his team were so helpful and kind! They did a great job on my new breaks and even stayed after their normal closing time to make sure they got it done. I will definitely be going back to Brakes Plus for any future needs!

Went to bracks plus and told them I had a warped rotor,spent700.00 dollars, still felt vibration when braking after picking up tried twice to speak with a manager I was left on hold twice for 10 minutes manager never answered,same person had told me I needed a battery,I declined it's been 3 months and have never had a issue with the battery.I GOT RIPPED OFF DON'T TRUST THIS SHOP!!!
