Brandon Telford - complete transformation!
I needed a heavy duty floor sander for a new screed floor of about 200 sqm. It had been a while since I hired from Brandon Tweedale.
The change in the branch was immediately apparent as I walked in. The counter had been reconfigured and the shop floor was no longer littered with kit and debris.
My comments on the visible transformation were well received by Mark the manager. But there was more to come.
Knowing little of the job or tools in hand, Mark and his staff provided with with all the necessary information and advice and I left with the right tool and a working knowledge of what to do.
I had problems with the site electric supply and again I received immediate and accurate advice (namely a 10Kw generator, not available right then from Brandon so they recommended another company where I could hire one.
Extending the hire period was done with a simple phone call and the off hire process was swift and professional.
The whole traction was a breath of fresh air in an industry that can often be dull and disinterested.

Booked 2-man auger, never arrived at the hire station
I booked a two-man auger about two weeks before I needed it. The day came to pick it up and I got a call from the Brandon branch (Telford) saying that they didn't have it as FedX hadn't picked it up from another branch. It was being sent and would be available the next day. The next day, nobody called me, I had to call them just before they closed. Nobody answered the phone. The next day, I was told that it would be in the following day. The next day, I was told that DPD hadn't picked it up, either, and it would be available after the weekend. That is SIX days after I booked it. I had the work planned and it completely messed up my plans.

The equipment I hired was useless
The equipment I hired was useless, I complained to the Branch that supplied it .
I was totally disappointed by their response.
The equipment was poorly maintained and not fit for purpose.
A waste of time, effort and money.
Was unable to do the job !.

The equipment was collected earlier than I expected
The equipment was in good condition and delivered on time. However, I was told I needed to off hire it to end the hire (as is usual with plant hire). However, I received an email the day before the end of the period I had paid saying it would be collected at the end of the period. Fortunately I completed the job in time but, because of the misinformation, I thought I had flexibility and could easily have delayed the completion. In fact collection was then delayed by 24 hours. Giving customers misinformation is a bad policy.

Nothing was too much trouble
Nothing was too much trouble. We had to have someone come out to us on 2 occasions due to the pull cord breaking and they did this with no issues with being called out. Fantastic customer service. Thank you
