The airport is small and modern and has a great location. The only minor complaint is that when going through security to fly out, there are no clear plastic bags for liquids on hand, so you have to pack up your stuff and go back downstairs to purchase one. Then rejoin the queue to re enter security. It would be helpful if signs were about to mention this beforehand as about four other people after me had the same problem, and with only one traveler at a time being able to put their hand luggage on the
X-Ray belt, this didn’t help the slow queue.

We’re currently airside waiting for our 20.40 flight home! One cafe and the duty free shop are already shut! The other “cafe” is open but with a very limited choice! However, getting through security was absolutely fine and everyone was friendly!

Quite simply a terrible airport. Security is awful - it’s like a 3rd world country airport with the liquid restrictions needing the 1l bag. And to make matters worse you cannot even buy the 1l bags in the airport. Terrible

Very unfriendly checkin, agressive and bad security check intentionally touching my hygiene products with dirty hands. Why do you touch my toothbrush? Touched every item to make it dirty and germ ridden. Bad attitude. One pmace to eat with a few bad choices. Not a good place to be in

I was with my husband and my kid. We passed the security and the out my kid on the side and search him. He is 5 years and the searching included touching his bum cheeks. Completely inappropriate. Also, when they searched me they touched me everywhere including my back part. More than touching they rubbed me, it was so uncomfortable. Please avoid this airport

The worst airport security I've ever been through in my life. It took ages and was absolutely chaotic. After passing through the metal detector I was patted down front and back, including lifting up my t-shirt and pulling out the waistband of my jeans to look down my trousers. Then I had to sit and take off my boots while they were taken to be put through the x-ray machine (why didn't they ask you to take them off at the beginning as in every other airport?)
Once I'd gone through all this they called me aside because my liquids were in a plastic bag that didn't have a zip top. The bag had already been checked when I'd put it in the tray and had passed through the x-ray machine. I then had to go back to the beginning to a box outside security to buy a ziploc bag for 1€. I had to go through the whole patting down thing again, including looking down my jeans, even though I'd only been outside for 5 seconds to buy the bag. They then put my liquids in the ziploc bag and passed them through the x-ray machine again.
A really horrible and embarrassing experience. Luckily I'd allowed plenty of time otherwise I'd have missed the flight.

Terrible customers experience with my family.
four brown people from our family were frisked. the two white people from our family were allowed to walk through. ridiculous experience and no longer of this time. also 1 person from our family was temporarily detained because the security system indicated 'something dangerous'. because of that 1 flight was missed. after a complete very uncomfortable circus their conclusion was that the so called dangerous object was just a natural stone.
unprofessional security staff and very incompetent. bad service and absolutely internationally very unaware.
The latter may happen once the first was too obvious racism, even felt and seen by the children....

Extremely rude and racist. Getting worse and worse with the time. Will avoid it.

Security at Bremen Airport is completely dysfunctional. They took my plastic bag with small cosmetics (within the permitted limits) out of my backpack without my knowledge and did not put it back. I realised this after arriving in Frankfurt for my International flight. My email to the airport was never responded to, and I lost over 50 Euros worth of items. I strongly recommend to check on your personal belongings after going through security in Bremen.

It is a small airport but it is an absolute disaster: it takes hours to get through security- and it is not just lack of personnel, but its utmost inefficiency. The same for passport control- every passenger seems to surprise policemen as if this is their first day!
I recommend to learn from Spanish or Portuguese airports which might not have all the fancy equipment or so many personnel but somehow manage to ensure better security at higher throughput and much lower stress!

It's small and you should be there in time (queues can get long when they have a couple of flights at the same time) but overall I've had a good experience here.
