Downgrading with every upgrade.

I was making a music for my YouTube channel. With time and new upgrades to Brev I was able to make some really good music nearly exactly as I intended. After last update (version 5.0) nearly every intro, melody, arrangement and voices sound like the same. It looks like some of the features disappeared (for example today I wanted to make Shred Metal album but there's completely no shredding in any of 20 compositions! And just a week ago when I was using 4.5 version I didn't have any issues like this.
Never heard before about upgrading being really downgrading... . In a month my yearly subscription will end and if it will remain in the state like it is today I will definitely not renew this subscription.

Review of Brev.ai – A Misleading and Unreliable Platform

As a studio owner and musician who writes my own lyrics and plays my own instruments, I initially subscribed to Brev.ai to experiment with AI-generated music as part of my creative process. The site marketed itself as a serious alternative to platforms like Suno, with a monthly subscription of £9.25 (tax included). Based on that premise, I became a paid member.

However, on May 27th, 2025, the platform abruptly changed its entire service model without warning. As a paying subscriber, I felt misled and decided to cancel and request a refund for May. That refund has still not been issued.

There is no real customer support. The billing is handled by a third party called PayPro, and not by the person behind the site (who calls himself Fred – possibly under a pseudonym). Communication is nonexistent.

Worse, you don’t own the music you generate unless you subscribe annually. This is not made clear when signing up. Given how quickly the terms changed once, I wouldn’t trust that policy to stay consistent either.

This platform is not reliable for professionals. It’s unstable, misleading, and doesn’t respect creators' rights. If you’re serious about music production, look elsewhere. Brev.ai is not the partner you want.

Was Good...Now just Cash Grabby

Used to be able to download songs that you created with a basic (Non subscription account). Now you can't. So, you come up with YOUR own lyrics, take the time to make YOUR song, but then you can't download it now...when you used to be able to...?

Nah...
I don't think so. Used to be worth using on a once in a while on casual basis. Was a good site for the average man in the street user. Not any more. Now it's just a money grab. Had a subscription once, but now, you can just F Off.

Better than suno

Seriously, when I first saw the negative comments, I thought it must be fake but It's actually far better then any other AI. Their response is also very quick and software/AI is also good with proper maintenance and update. I really recommend brev.ai rather than suno.

Did the work with zero issues

I signed up for the free version, and the AI procured an incredible piece, which I'd like to acknowledge carrying part in due to prompting and interaction-style (being respectful of AI).
