Very poor experience

Very poor. Just a handful of large built models (and even those weren't all using real Lego bricks!). Nothing that impressive.
Lots of build for young kids, but for adults a compete disappointment. No vendors just a single poor shop with no prices.
No stalls at all selling brick related stuff.
Felt like a cheaply thrown together event with lots of piles of bricks and a couple of inflatables. Took 10-15 mins to see the lot unless you built something.

Puts the CON in convention…

Biggest rip off event I’ve ever been to. £40 for VIP tickets only to find a largely empty hall with piles of loose bricks scattered around it, and handful of things built by the event and one tiny shop that mostly just sold merch rather than actual LEGO. No traders, no community involvement, MOCs, etc. Challenged the event organiser at the event and he said it’s my fault I didn’t enjoy it as it’s an event for kids and I’m adult. It’s advertised as all ages and as the “biggest brick event in the UK”, when in fact it’s just a disappointing empty hall. Got in around 9.10 on our VIP tickets, left at 9.24. Have asked for a refund. Appalling.

Appalled and incredibly disappointed

Absolutely awful - if you haven’t pre booked tickets please don’t waste your money like we have. This is by far the worst of any type of show we’ve ever been to and expensive too! We travelled a long way to come to the show and were really excited about it - only to get to a big empty room with hardly any of the things originally advertised and hardly anything there. There were a couple of tables of Lego bricks for kids to build at, a couple of Lego dinosaurs surrounded by non Lego plastic ones, and one small shop that hardly had any actual Lego, I think there was about one set that wasn’t tiny and aimed at young children, and that was damaged, just mainly brick fest t shirts and plushies. No other sellers or stands or independent builds. We walked round the whole thing in less time than it talk us to walk from the car park. We were absolutely gutted and I feel so sorry for all the families that forked out even more than us to walk round an empty hall. It was disappointing for adults but must have been really upsetting for parents and their children looking forward to a day out .

The website early in the week had far more written about what would be shown and the pictures from previous shows appear to show much more exhibits and things going on - but I noticed they’ve now changed some of the wording on the website to reflect the missing exhibitors and stalls. When I purchased the tickets I could select 1pm , 2pm, 3pm or 4pm entry among other more expensive options with closure at 6pm- before we arrived we got a message now saying last entry is 2pm with closure at 4pm. Clearly something’s gone wrong. At £42.95 for two tickets this is total false advertising. Not worth the cost of the car park!

I’ll be sending complaints to ticket master, the new and the event organisers - all I can say is I hope they never get the chance to dupe people out of their money this way again, and not too many more people lose they’re time and money to this organiser and likely conman.

Extremely disappointed

So disappointed. Very much a waste of money. Paid the extra for VIP and for early access to trade stores. However there was only one vendor, selling very little and what little there was extremely overpriced. Walked around in whole thing in 10 mins. Brickish blows this out of the water. Will never go to a brick fest event again.

Absolute waste of time and money

Absolute waste of time and money. Previous brick events were massive with experts on hand. We walked around this one in 10 minutes. There were a few builds to look at some tiny brick pits for kids to play in and a shop with a few very small sets. Very wrongly advertised. We had travelled over 100 miles and spent £40 each for vip tickets. Another Willy Wonker event I'm afraid.

Don't waste your money!! Not as advertised, complete waste of time

We are at the Birmingham event today and want to say what a biggest disappointment ever!! And total waste of money. I've bought my son who was looking forward to it and we walked around in 10 mins, definitely not as advertised hardly any lego displays, no one selling lego and the so called shop hardly had anything. I used my sons access card and so glad we didn't pay full for 2 tickets. £50 for two tickets, might as well of bought a box of lego from smyths toys and played at home!!

This event was falsely advertised and a waste of money. My kid left the event crying because this event was so hyped up via advertising but failed to deliver on even the most basic level. Extremely long lines or overly crowded for the few interactive elements included. There was only a few things to look at, all the displays could be seen in less than 10 minutes. There was only ONE vendor there selling overpriced sets. I fear the other 5 star reviews on here were made by the company themselves under fake profiles.

Utter rip off. Unfortunately I can't give this zero stars because that's what it deserves. Best part of the experience was leaving.

Disappointing and underwhelming…

Disappointing and underwhelming especially for the money. Have been to a few Lego Expo’s and there were no vendors and a lot of ‘free building’ not many big builds to see. My son loved it as a huge Lego fan but after spending over £100 on tickets, parking and coffees (we brought our packed lunch) I’m not sure it was worth it for the couple of hours we spent there. Staff were very friendly though.

It’s a massive rip off

It’s a massive rip off. A few tables, Lego pits and Lego models, really not worth anywhere near the ticket price. Also the shop selling the tiny packet legos that normally come on the Lego magazines (normally priced £6.99) they were selling them for £12 each without magazine.

Very poor value for money

A few impressive builds, such as the dinosaurs, but overall not worth the ticket price, and the additional parking charges. We spent a total of 20 mins including walking to and from the car park, for an event that cost the best part of £60 for 2 people.
Very poor.

Vile
Filthy
Cheap
Poorly-ventilated
Smelly
