Dishonest practices. We received a $150 gift certificate to try Bright Cellars. They say they will throw in an extra bottle for free. However, only four bottles are delivered. When we call tech suppor... See more

One of the big draws for Bright Cellars for me was the delivery. The two options for delivery companies either meant they wouldn’t attempt a delivery and you’d need to pick it up After multiple “faile... See more

I think Bright Cellars is the wine subscription service of the future. I've done two prior and had friends join others as well. Given the service and wine provided thus far, nothing even compares. The... See more

Website not transparent, difficult to cancel

I used a discount code for my first purchase and with the discount the price wasn’t terrible... However, at the time of signing up I didn’t realize it would cost $90 for 6 bottles normally! Compared to other wine subscription services that price is pretty ridiculous. On top of that, you can only delay your subscription by one month instead of indefinitely like you’re able to do on other subscription services. I decided to cancel after my first purchase because of the price alone. I have yet to try the wines but on the user end the website is super suspect and not transparent. You can’t cancel on the website without emailing or calling but for some reason you can resubscribe with the click of a button on the website after you have already canceled? I just think it’s odd to make it so difficult to stop the subscription but so easy to decide to keep it going. It feels like they purposely make it difficult to scam people out of money.

EDIT: I’ve since tried 3 out of 6 of the bottles and I’m not impressed at all. They’re okay, not so bad that I won’t finish the bottles eventually but definitely not worth $15 per bottle imo. I’ve also noticed that most brands are in-house brands so it makes me think that they make the wine super cheap and then inflate the price for the service.

Suspicious

I received my first box today and I was initially very pleased by how nicely packaged it was. The bottles were nicely presented and very well protected. However... I tasted three of the six wines with my family and they taste suspiciously similar. I feel scammed. It seems they bottle the wines themselves and then just use the different stickers to brand them differently, but it's quite strange for wine to taste so similar and have the exact same color. I have a decent selection of whites and there are clear variations in the depth of their golden tones, except for the 5 (6th bottle was a Rosé) I received from Bright Cellars that look just identical. What's going on?
