BrightLocal has transformed our SEO

BrightLocal has truly transformed our local SEO strategy. We initially sought them out because managing local citations, tracking rankings across multiple locations, and cleaning up messy Google Business Profile data manually was costing us dozens of hours every month.Their platform completely solved that bottleneck. My absolute favorite features are the Local Search Audit and the Citation Builder. The audit tool provides clean, white-label reports that we can share directly with clients, while the citation builder takes the painful guesswork out of building consistent local signals.Compared to other platforms we tried previously, like Yext and Moz Local, BrightLocal offers far better value and flexibility. We never feel locked into rigid, expensive contracts, and the data accuracy is significantly higher.The results speak for themselves. I can definitely see why BrightLocal…

I can definitely see why BrightLocal has so many negative reviews.

After spending time trying to use your platform, I'm honestly shocked at how slow, antiquated, and frustrating the entire experience is. The website feels outdated, clunky, and poorly optimized, making even simple tasks take far longer than they should. Instead of helping businesses save time, it ended up wasting mine.

I reached out and expressed my concerns, but at this point I've completely lost confidence in the product. The user experience is far below what I'd expect from a company operating in the local SEO space.

I expect a prompt refund for the charges made. If a refund is not processed quickly, I will be contacting my bank to initiate a chargeback and dispute the transaction.

I do not appreciate the amount of time wasted trying to make your platform work. Between the slow performance, outdated interface, and overall poor experience, it's clear why so many customers have chosen to leave negative feedback.

Very disappointing experience.

36 Hours of Complaint with out any resolution

We are a digital agency and have been working with them for more than a year with 60-plus accounts. We raised a complaint 36 hours ago, and we are still not receiving any resolution. They don't have any dialling number, so we can talk to expedite. The only way we can reach out is through a ticket system, which they are not responding to. What should we say to our clients, what kind of company we partner with?

Support is not great and tracking problems can occur

Their dashboard is great and easy to use, but their local tracking results can be unreliable. Also, its very difficult to get in touch with support to resolve the technical issues.

Wonderful Experience - Just kicked off our second listings campaign

Just completed the startup process for our second citation builder campaign with BrightLocal. I'm a stickler for accuracy and good process so BrightLocal was an excellent fit for me and our business. Big shout out to Aljon who was very responsive in reaching out to me within 24 hours after I kicked off to campaign to discuss our requirements and work with me to answer all my questions and clarify how various aggregators and listing companies work. We traded back and forth three or four emails - each one with details and recommendations from Aljon on the best way to proceed to enhance our online presence and SEO. There was no upselling - only straight talk and professionalism. After the first campaign, we saw our leads increase so I'm confident we will see better results after we complete the second campaign for our second location. Both campaigns with BrightLocal have exceeded my expectations and the way Aljon and his colleagues work shows me these folks and this company really care about the customer.

Incorrectly informed that account had been cancelled.

Revised review, it appears an incorrect automatic email was set out to me notifying me that my account has been cancelled when it will actually run until end of my subscription. So, have amended stars to 4 from 2. Losing 1 star for wasting my time! You need to check those automatic emails Bright Local. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I would not recommend this service. My subscription was paid up until 10 March 2026, and I cancelled on 16 February 2026 because I can no longer afford to continue. Despite this, access was removed immediately rather than allowing me to use the remaining paid period. Other platforms such as Semrush and SE Ranking allow access until the end of the billing cycle. Since November 2025, I have spent $1,349.04, so this felt disappointing and unfair.

I’ve been using BrightLocal for…

I’ve been using BrightLocal for managing and building citations/listings for my small business, and the support has been outstanding—especially from Joselyn Silagan in Listings Support.
I initially came to BrightLocal because I was struggling with inconsistent NAP data across dozens of directories, which was hurting our local search visibility and causing lost leads. Other citation services I’d tried before were either too automated (leading to errors and duplicates) or had slow, unresponsive support teams that left issues unresolved for weeks.
Working with Joselyn completely changed that experience. She was incredibly thorough, patient, and proactive. She personally reviewed my listings, caught several inaccuracies I hadn’t noticed, handled the pre-submission checks flawlessly, and followed up quickly on any sync issues. Her attention to detail ensured everything was accurate and optimized before going live.
Thanks to her help, we’ve seen a noticeable improvement in our Google rankings and overall local pack visibility within just a couple of months—plus much cleaner data across major aggregators. The ROI has been clear with more phone calls and website traffic coming from local searches.

I have been using bright local since the very beginning of their opening, words cannot express how amazing awesome and easy to use the software is compared to everything else out there. I literally don't even use any other software anymore for local businesses because this provides super clean easy to understand, reports for clients and, the price is well worth it and the staff is super attentive and respond quickly. There's no AI responses. It's real humans and they all seem to know their stuff.
