After spending time trying to use your platform, I'm honestly shocked at how slow, antiquated, and frustrating the entire experience is. The website feels outdated, clunky, and poorly optimized, making even simple tasks take far longer than they should. Instead of helping businesses save time, it ended up wasting mine.
I reached out and expressed my concerns, but at this point I've completely lost confidence in the product. The user experience is far below what I'd expect from a company operating in the local SEO space.
I expect a prompt refund for the charges made. If a refund is not processed quickly, I will be contacting my bank to initiate a chargeback and dispute the transaction.
I do not appreciate the amount of time wasted trying to make your platform work. Between the slow performance, outdated interface, and overall poor experience, it's clear why so many customers have chosen to leave negative feedback.
Very disappointing experience.

We are a digital agency and have been working with them for more than a year with 60-plus accounts. We raised a complaint 36 hours ago, and we are still not receiving any resolution. They don't have any dialling number, so we can talk to expedite. The only way we can reach out is through a ticket system, which they are not responding to. What should we say to our clients, what kind of company we partner with?

Their dashboard is great and easy to use, but their local tracking results can be unreliable. Also, its very difficult to get in touch with support to resolve the technical issues.

I got prompt, friendly support from BrightLocal after submitting a Citation Builder request. In my experience they've always been really good about confirming the content of those citations before they get sent out to aggregators and directories - which I really appreciate!

Just completed the startup process for our second citation builder campaign with BrightLocal. I'm a stickler for accuracy and good process so BrightLocal was an excellent fit for me and our business. Big shout out to Aljon who was very responsive in reaching out to me within 24 hours after I kicked off to campaign to discuss our requirements and work with me to answer all my questions and clarify how various aggregators and listing companies work. We traded back and forth three or four emails - each one with details and recommendations from Aljon on the best way to proceed to enhance our online presence and SEO. There was no upselling - only straight talk and professionalism. After the first campaign, we saw our leads increase so I'm confident we will see better results after we complete the second campaign for our second location. Both campaigns with BrightLocal have exceeded my expectations and the way Aljon and his colleagues work shows me these folks and this company really care about the customer.

Revised review, it appears an incorrect automatic email was set out to me notifying me that my account has been cancelled when it will actually run until end of my subscription. So, have amended stars to 4 from 2. Losing 1 star for wasting my time! You need to check those automatic emails Bright Local. 🤦🏼♀️
I would not recommend this service. My subscription was paid up until 10 March 2026, and I cancelled on 16 February 2026 because I can no longer afford to continue. Despite this, access was removed immediately rather than allowing me to use the remaining paid period. Other platforms such as Semrush and SE Ranking allow access until the end of the billing cycle. Since November 2025, I have spent $1,349.04, so this felt disappointing and unfair.
