What a real shame

What a real shame. Glad I had only placed one order after company was sold. They were very good under their previous owner. They are obviously closed so goodbye to them I guess and comment does not matter any more.

BEWARE - FRAUDSTERS!

BEWARE - DO NOT ORDER! They are a fraudulent company. The website has somehow been allowed to remain active and take payments, but you WILL NOT receive what you order. I'm still pursuing trying to get my money back from my bank several months later.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

I placed an order on 4th January 2021

They sent me an email on the 12th January 2021 stating that the order was on its way complete with Royal Mail tracking number

I sent the sales department an email on the 21st January 2021 stating that I had not received my order and that the tracking number that they issued was not recognised by the Royal Mail tracking service, they did not respond

I again emailed the sales department on the 28th January 2021, they did not respond

I telephoned on 25th January 2021 and left a message, they did not responded

I again telephoned on 2nd February and left a message, I also confirmed this call by email to the sales department and again they did responded

I sent a recorded delivery letter on 8th March 2021 which they signed for, again no response, no goods received

I will leave you to come to your own conclusion

placed an order in october 2020, still remains on my orders as unfullfilled, tel numbers no longer in use, no answer to emails, no money back, no goods, don't appear to have gone into receivership, Fraudsters!!

I’ve paid for my item on 6th dec 2020 and never received it I’ve email them many time and try to ring them no response or reply PLEASE avoid them this brightstore will rip you of they take your money but won’t sent anything ok

My order of 5 led bulbs arrived on time but 1 bulb was the wrong colour temp 2700K rather than 6400K. Needs a bit more QC.

Please avoid this company

Please avoid this company. Like the previous review stated, I cannot understand why all the positive reviews because this company will take your money and not respond to e-mails. I placed an order directly with the website after seeing the item on E Bay. (Could get it cheaper on their website.) No item received, so e-mailed the company. No response. Went to their chat feature on website, chat working but nobody answering.

Decided to go to the seller on his E Bay account. He responds! He denies he is affiliated with Brightstore despite his name appearing on Brightstore's website! I respond that he is promoting the Brightstore name and could he look into my order he fails to reply.

To complicate matters further I happened to notice that the details for Brightstore along with e-mail address here on Trustpilot is different to the contact details on their web page. The company also trades as thelightingexperts on E Bay. Buyer beware!

Have had to open a case with Paypal to get a refund.

Update 6.11.2019

It appears the seller has responded weeks later, this seems to be the business model! Let me set the record straight. My order was placed on the Monday, hadn't heard anything so decided to use the chat feature on website. Not working!! E-mailed on the Friday and finally got a response on the Saturday AFTER opening a paypal case hence why I didn't reply to his e-mails.

Response from seller. Quote:

"we di[d] receive your order and after a day found your items and posted 2nd class due to the cost of the order..... if the item hasn’t showed up by Monday, please let me know and I’ll either send you a replacement or get it refunded."

ITEM NEVER RECEIVED. It was NEVER sent. That was a LIE!
CASE OPENED WITH PAYPAL. REFUND RECEIVED.

So you deny ever e-mailing the above quote? Ah yes, remember the e-mail you sent saying what I wrote up here is libellous and to reconsider my review? Maybe you want me to copy and paste the e-mails word for word up here for all to see?

Here is a warning for the customer, please never take a seller's word they have posted something once you have opened a paypal case. Always keep the paypal case OPEN until said item is received. I opened a paypal case on the Saturday after hearing NOTHING all week. Later on in the day once the paypal case was OPENED did I receive an e-mail from Brightstore stating the item had been SENT. What a coincidence! Luckily I didn't fall for it and kept the case open. Refund was given on the Monday. Item was NEVER posted. Funny he has no proof of posting said item but I have the e-mail where he states the item had been posted. Buyer beware!

You emailed us at 5.32pm on a Friday afternoon, we replied on a Saturday morning? We also followed up our email on the following day...Sunday. and again on Monday but no reply to any of them? Nobody DENIED any affiliation on Ebay, I have the message that was sent to you. I have no problem with people leaving negative reviews but do get annoyed when people blatantly lie! The person on Ebay explained they have nothing to do with the main website, they're hired purely to run the Ebay account. They also contacted you on sunday to see if your issue had been sorted but surprise surprise...no reply from you? Lastly, you had no need to open a case with Paypal had you have replied to any of our numerous emails to help.

We welcome any negative review, without these we cannot improve our service/offerings but we cannot learn from people who seem to have an ulterior motive and lie. We will bend over backwards to help any body and will ALWAYS put the customer first but this cannot be done if the customer ignores all communication and then complains about our communication? Oh the irony

Okay :-) I presume you're a competitor?? So we lie and don't send parcels? You have proof of this I assume? strange that every other person has received their goods with no problem? did we just choose to scam you? You do realise that if we don't send an item and scam people, they would all just claim from Paypal and get their money back? Not a great scam I would suggest? Anyway, I have no idea who you work for nut will leave it at that and leave people to make their own mind up, one "customer" that says we con people and over 100 who don't...you jumped to a conclusion and never gave us the chance to even try and resolve it. You have the email message, as do I, and you know very well that what you stated is not what was said. I see you have also admitted you emailed Friday evening and opened a case on the Saturday?? you didn't even allow us 24 hours to reply??? Have a lovely evening.

Against all the other positive reviews I'm really confused about what's going on here.
