My experience
Great teacher, shows you how to pass your test any how to drive on the road after your test, critical skills reinforced over lessons with a very flexible time plan.
Terrible communication, waste of time and effort
Terrible. I had booked an intensive course for September 2025. First, the first day was cancelled, and then everything but the last day, and then everything was cancelled. I was understanding and we organised to still get the hours covered, but there were numerous occasions where a lesson was scheduled and then cancelled last-minute - on one occasion I cancelled university commitments and waited outside at the time of the lesson only for no one to show up. (I have full dates and paper trail of this so none of this can be disputed).
I was promised another 'reliable colleague' could step in which of course also ended up in nothing. I was promised a call and follow-up emails several times by different members of the team which also conveniently never came to fruition.
Eventually I grew sick of it and requested a refund which started a month-long back-and-forth of AI-generated responses, promising to 'raise it with the manager' and delaying more and more. Funnily enough, when I threatened to raise a formal dispute the refund finally (Dec 2025) came through.
Note in the other positive reviews whether they are praising the driving instructor they (fortunately) were assigned, or whether anyone has had a good experience with the agency themselves. As far as I have seen, if you get a reliable instructor then great, but otherwise prepare for months of terrible communication and delay.
STAY WELL CLEAR - A Year of Delays, Poor Communication, and Broken Promises
The level of communication from this company has been extremely disappointing. They rarely respond, and when they do, it lacks clarity or follow-through.
I paid in full for two intensive driving courses, including test bookings, in February 2025. As of March 31st 2026, neither course has been completed within the promised timeframe. One final lesson is still outstanding, and I am also waiting on refunds for both driving tests.
After more than a year of delays, broken promises, and poor communication, this experience has been incredibly frustrating. The service provided does not reflect what was advertised, and I feel misled as a customer.
I would strongly advise others to consider alternative providers. Based on my experience, this company prioritises taking payment over delivering on their commitments.
It won't even let me put the correct date of my experience
Absolutely amazing driving instructor
Absolutely amazing driving instructor. Couldn’t of asked for anyone better, I came to Tim after being with a previous driving instructor that wasn’t getting me very far and Tim helped me progress in my driving and got me test ready within a few lessons. I couldn’t recommend Tim enough, he’s very supportive, patient and calm.

Paid in Jan 2025, Out Over £1,000, and Still No Test – Avoid!
I booked an intensive driving course with Bristol and Bath Intensive Courses, paying in full in January 2025 for instruction scheduled in March 2025. The entire point of an "intensive" course is the condensed timeframe: you build momentum and go straight into a practical test. This company completely failed to deliver on that fundamental promise.
After my initial instruction in March 2025, months passed without a practical test ever being booked. The huge gap in instruction completely undermined the intensive nature of the course. I would now require substantial retraining just to get back to the standard I was at in March 2025.
The company actually admitted their failure to me in a July email, stating: "the value of an intensive course lies in its timing and in ensuring you're test-ready at the end of the process, and it's clear that we've fallen short in that respect." Despite this written admission of falling short, my attempts to resolve the situation were ignored.
My final email formally requesting a refund initially fell on deaf ears, and when they finally responded, they outright refused it.
The financial impact of their incompetence has been severe:
- Over £1,000 spent on the course itself.
- Over £1,000 lost in wages from taking a week of leave for the original instruction in March 2025, done in good faith that a test would follow.
I am left out of pocket by over £2,000 combined, with absolutely nothing to show for it and no driving test in sight.
I have since sought instruction elsewhere, with instruction on a rolling weekly basis, as I should have done originally, only now worse off financially and with a masssive delay in progress.
If you are looking for a reliable, professional company to help you pass your test efficiently, save your money and look elsewhere.

Terrible communication, refund taken months. Fobbed off and lied too
We booked a week long intensive course for the end of September 2025, we had booked this a few months in advance. When the time came, I had received no email or text message telling me when it would begin, I had to chase it. I then was told two days before it was supposed to start that it was cancelled. I was gutted but understood, and tried to rebook. Again I had to chase for this too happen as the dates I was offered were far too close to the dates I had just had to take off work already. I couldn't book another holiday so quickly. I have now lost a week of holiday. But thankfully I was able to nab a few more hours to be able to get another in a months time.
Was finally told a date and was again looking forward to it until radio silence, no start time, no instructor name nothing. Until in the end I cancelled and asked for a refund while loosing another week of holiday.
I have emails upon emails of me messaging them and them fobbing me off with excuses. I wish I could upload screenshots as it's mental.
It has taken me months and months to get my refund, I've had to go to the bank to get this finally resolved as I was getting fed up with excuses and had already spoken to trading standards about the next steps.
Because of my money being held up for so long I've not been able to book another driving lesson with anyone else and it's sad to think I should be driving by now.
This is my first trust pilot review, but these guys seriously need to be avoided at all costs. I genuinely thought I had been scammed. I'm so disappointed. If you're in the same situation contact your bank and trading standards. They will have heard of them by now and have them on their radar.

Paul is great to learn with
Paul is a great instructor and i could not of asked for someone better to be assigned to me, i went in as a new driver with no experience with a 20 hour course to being able to drive independently with a lot of confidence, he was extremely patient with me with the reverse bay park especially as i was not quite able to find the correct reference point for myself and we got there after a few attempts and now im confident being able to park with next to no issues, as for my driving journey i will continue learning until i am fully confident in my own ability's before taking my test and would love to continue my journey with Paul until test ready i could not recommend him enough

7 day intensive course - don’t bother
I originally booked the 7 day intensive course, to include my theory and my practical which I paid extra for.
My intensive course journey was planned to start on the 27th January for 5 days, they brought this forward to January 20th for 5 days instead. Bonus for me! Was happy about this. Theory test was booked and all okay.
Heard nothing about my practical, the intensive week went and was gone, with emails and phone calls of backwards and forwards with no booked date, days turned to weeks and months, I finally booked a test for myself March 24th after much failed contact with the company, and I informed them of this and requested a refund for my test as they couldn’t supply me with this.
I was told the remaining 2 days of my intensive course would be closer to my test date (which was booked in September). I emailed them about this in July as my test was coming up, tried to ring but couldn’t get through and had no reply. I emailed again on August 8th but no reply either. I finally managed to get in contact with them less than a week before my test date, at this point they told me I let them know too late and close to the test date so they won’t be able to give me these 2 lessons that were owed. I complained about this as I’d be trying for 2 months to put something into place, so I did request a refund which I did receive.
They’re fast taking your money, but when they have to give you the actual thing you paid for, it’s like trying to talk to a brick wall. I wouldn’t even bother, I didn’t feel anywhere near ready and I defiantly still had a lot to learn after this, after the course I went to seperate hourly lessons and learned so much more in such a less time. The first day of my intensive course I spent the whole 4 hours driving around a car park. What a waste of a day! I had cracked the starting stopping and slow speeds by an hour and a half for Christ sake!
My driving lessons with Tim!
My driving lessons with Tim were nothing short of absolute amazement. He had been so supportive of me through every step of this journey. As someone who struggle with nerves and confidence, he guided me through everything with so much understanding, I am absolutely going to miss our chats behind the wheel but I will take everything he’s taught me to the grave now and I would recommend him to absolutely everyone!! An absolute incredible teacher who will always a friend!

Just following up from my previous…
Just following up from my previous review. My brother has now arranged a course date and will be starting from August, it’s been great so far with someone always on hand to help and answer questions and there are some great deals on the website. My brother is very excited and can’t wait to start and I will certainly be recommending this to my friends and family.
Absolute shambles full of lies
Absolute shambles full of lies, very poor communication and do not deliver what they say. Please do not book with these jokers! You will save a huge amount of money time and stress finding a good instructor and doing weekly lessons. This company have not delivered an intensive course at all and even their instructor advised my daughter not to use them!!! I have Multiple emails where i can evidence no-one responded to my daughters emails about organising lessons and they lie and state they have. When i have raised this they have also stated they would consider a partial reimbursement as they did not deliver what was expected and i have an email to show this is that they said they they changed their mind! Sure they will dispute what i am saying but genuinely a really awful waste of money and time for a service they do not deliver. Nearly a year for an intensive course. Embarrassing. Avoid at all costs

I have started my ADI part 1 training…
I have started my ADI part 1 training with the view to join Bristol and Bath intensives when I have qualified. From start to finish the process has been fantastic and both the office teams and trainers have been amazing. From the off when I have booked there has been clear and quick communication, easy access to all resources and information I need and always someone on hand to help out if needed. I would definitely recommend, quality training for a great price.

Instructor training
Bristolandbathintensiveas sponsored me to do my PDI training. I found their training to be thorough and flexible to fit around my workload.
I enjoyed teaching the intensive courses. I found 20 or 28 hours a week with one pupil enabled us to nake lots of progress and build confidence quicker.
The company were very supportive and have a nice team of local instructors in Bristol, Bath and Weston super Mare. Great company to be a part of.

I have now really started pushing forward with my theory learning. I am going through all of the online stuff and finding it really good to watch all all the training videos.
I feel well prepared now for the theory test and cant wait for it.
Support is really good for me as I don’t always pick things up that quickly so I’m grateful that my trainer is supportive.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I booked an intensive course for my partner in Jan 25 with the expectation, as clearly advertised on their website, that they would secure a “fast-track” driving test. Unfortunately, this did not happen, and we were told to book the test ourselves and try for cancellation spots. This meant the test was booked 6+ months after the “intensive” course ended.
As a result, we had to pay for additional driving lessons to maintain test readiness. I emailed a couple times in the 6 months, asking for help to secure a test sooner but communication was poor and vague / generic (as other reviews have stated).
I formally complained in June and asked for a refund of half the course fee (to cover the cost of the additional lessons we HAD to pay for and due to the inconvenience and disruption caused to my self-employed partner who took a week off work for the so called “intensive” course). I also asked for an apology and asked for the false advertisement of a “fast track” test be removed from their website.
The company acknowledged this and agreed to cover a couple blocks worth of driving lessons. However, after months of chasing, broken promises, and repeated delays, they later revised their offer to only pay half of what they originally agreed.
This issue has been ongoing since since the summer, and despite being described as a “priority,” we have seen no resolution. The lack of communication and professionalism has been incredibly disappointing.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking with this company. In our experience, the service did not deliver what was advertised, and the aftercare has been extremely poor.
I have reported this issue to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice, and I would encourage anyone else who has had similar experiences to consider doing the same
