Ordered food for kings coronation via…

Ordered food for kings coronation via Wowcher never arrived and still hasn't. Ordered weeks before event and have been promised refund still haven't got one several wks down the line. Also promised something extra as goodwill gesture and that hasn't been sent either. To be honest it's border line fraud. I wouldn't recommend ever ordering from this company as they have pretty much stolen my money!

Ordered afternoon tea through Wowcher…

Ordered afternoon tea through Wowcher didn’t received in time for the king’s coronation which was disappointing then was promised they would send out another box , never received it . They blamed Royal Mail but I had ordered in plenty of time to receive, customer service is just not there . I have had a refund through Wowcher at last and britain loves baking said they would send something as a good will gesture. I haven’t received anything , what a disaster. I would never recommend or order from this company again .

Poor quality, inedible items

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Ordered through Wowcher delivery promised by 6/5. Received order on 13/5 as 'next day delivery' which for an item that was shipped on 6/5 & has perishable goods is not acceptable. I can only assume it was packed on 6/5 when it was ready to be shipped. The order was inedible; everything was wet & the food either damaged because wet or being inadequately packaged & thus damaged in transit. I've had afternoon teas by home delivery from other companies & never had such issues, items come well packed to prevent movement, rather than 2 small slices placed in a plastic tub far larger than them where they will move around & look inedible on arrival. The silica from the small cool pack in the cream & jam also leaked & not knowing what that has touched, I cannot risk eating any of the food that isn't wet. The quality of the order is incredibly low - even if the food was not damaged, I would be very disappointed with what I received even having only paid half price through Wowcher. There is no care and attention given to the packaging, the food is all just stuck in plastic bags and boxes which do not fit, the tea bags, cream & jam are clearly taken from bulk purchases and split for the orders you had. This is not what you expect from a quality cream tea, you expect them to be individually sealed items. The label with the food has a space on it for dates but none have been filled in. Complaint submitted 8/5, still no refund 28/5.

Product not great, service lacking too

Box arrived very late (after the event the kit was for) and missing several items. After ignoring some emails, they said they would replace 'straight away'. Eventually received a different kit instead, still missing the pieces requested. Product itself isn't great either - poor presentation and ingredients are low quality. Not recommended unfortunately

Poor quality useless product

Gave present to my nephew at weekend what an embarrasment. Bread kit as well as box being bashed when opened oil had leaked over bags. No guidance as to what ingredients made breads no recipes just a QR code. The shortbread sent as a replacement was an old Christmas box with Christmas cutters again no recipe all guess work. This is not a company I would use again or recommend -a waste of money. Ashamed to give this as,a gift. No response to emails

Wouldn’t recommend

No communication about my order, no reply to my emails, they did reimburse my delivery costs when I called to question it (website said delivery was free but I was charged for it). The wrong product was delivered — turned out that it was upgraded because what I’d ordered wasn’t available. It’s great that they did that but there was no note to explain it. Now I’m getting promotional text messages and the opt out needs a reply to an international number — so I’ll be charged for doing that. I can’t comment on the product as I haven’t used it yet, but even if it’s great I don’t think I’d use this company again.

Poor service and communication

Charged for delivery even though banner at the top of the website says delivery is free. Questioned this a week ago and no reply. I haven’t received the order yet either.

If I could have given 0 out of 5 I would have! 😡

I purchased 2 of the afternoon tea for chocolate lovers from Wowcher for a couple of friends who’s birthdays it was this week as I though this was a super Idea of having an afternoon tea delivered to someones home

One of my friends redeemed hers and it said it would be delivered wednesday 22nd june. It arrived nearly a week early whilst she was at work.. not a good start. After paying £4.99 delivery I would expect it to be delivered when I’ve asked for it??

Now In the description on wowcher it says PRESENTATION: Arriving in a pretty white box with a love heart logo! Now I think you’ll find a brown cardboard box with bits of tape hanging off it is not pretty!

the ‘chocolate lovers afternoon tea’ was ordered which was not received. We received a ‘4th July selection’. So that was annoying. Not only did it look inedible but the food colouring had all ran into the icing which is sliding off the cakes. It all looks as though its been kicked around the floor.

Nothing is labelled saying what it is.. no ingredient, allergen information or best before dates which I find unbelievable in this day and age as I was under the impression all food producers/manufacturers are legally obliged to include said information.

Now after 2 weeks of emailing them several times with no answer I am out of pocket. Such a disgusting way to run a business. They should be ashamed.

AVIOD AT ALL COSTS!!

Dear Linzi we are really sorry read this, I cant find an email from you. Your orders comes to us via wowcher automated system and to which we have no access to. We have told them the information the have on thier site written by them is worng and not at all how we discribe we dont have these white presentation boxes with hearts,

The afternoon tea you ordered we dont make nor have we done for months as its was for valentines day, nor do we have any way of contacting you to tell you this.

We comply fully with the food safety law and all the information is on our website on the product page with all the allergen information and ingridents lisring and its on the box label and there is a tick box that asks your to declare any food allergen as required by law, but you wouldnt have seen that as the wowcher system is automated

We have told them this over and over again its the same with the shipping we dont set the delivery date and the first we ever here of it being late is when some one says i was told by wowcher it would X day when in fact its not. We are having on going due to the on going transposrt srikes that have had an impact on our staffing. We will only as only two of shippments a week and we also told them to tell thier customers. . You can be assured we dont kick the goods we spent all night making around the place far from it. We use Track 24 Royal Mail and its rare but at times they can be heavy handed and do read or follow the instructions printed on the box.

We can claim for the damaged box and replace it for you but it will have to be one of our other boxes as we dont prodcude the chocolate one. I have also shared this review with the manager of the local depot who was shocked and I dont think it was down to his team as we watch them load our boxes on t to the late evening sorting truck and he its also going to look into this and I have asked him to come back to me as soon as he can, We have a free phone number at the bottom of the website, its the eastist way to contact us. We have passed this review to wowcher . Please do give us as call we have no issues what so ever replacing any damaged box and sorru you felt we were not reponding to you. If you want a refund you have to go to wcwcher as again we dont have access to thier systems and they are the seller nor do we have access to your infromation bar just the shipping label, so please do give us a call and we can helo make this right for you,

Ruined Jubilee Weekend Plans

One of the Jubilee Afternoon Teas for 2 was ordered by the 25th, expected by Thursday 2nd as it was for the Jubilee (obviously). On Tuesday we called to see if it had been dispatched, and was told 'it will be dispatched this evening, you'll get it tomorrow'. On Wednesday, nothing had arrived, so called again and was told 'sorry there's been an issue, we'll dispatch it this evening and you'll definitely have it tomorrow'. Comes to Thursday evening, no afternoon tea.

I then went to look up Royal Mail's service update for the weekend - no collections or deliveries on Thursday or Friday. So we were lied to, as their website states they dispatch with Royal Mail 24, and it was ordered well in advance of the 30th, so we should have had it for the weekend - not on, FOR.

We didn't receive it on the Saturday, or the following Monday. Very disappointed as our Jubilee plans were completely ruined, and we still have nothing to show for it.

Edit: Received a refund from the company. Not entirely sure what happened with our order - it either got lost in their system, or got lost in the post. They sent a box of some mini cakes & biscuits as an apology, which were well-received. That said, I don't think I would rely on this company to cater for a specific event in future, but might make a purchase once in a while just as a treat.

Poor communications

I recently ordered an afternoon tea from this website, which unfortunately appeared to get lost in transit. It said it was delayed and still hasn't arrived. Fair enough, not the company's fault, and they sent out another with a different delivery company. However, the same thing has happened again to this new one! I don't know whether they don't believe me as it seems so unlikely (although they have the tracking same as me so can see that it has not been received), but I have tried to contact them about six times now over the course of the last week and they have simply ignored every email. I don't blame them for the problems with delivery as that is out of their hands, but the shoddy communication has let them down massively. Right now I'm out of pocket, with no afternoon tea, and am being totally blanked.
