This company was great
This company was great! I worked with Christine on my claim and she kept me informed and made sure my jeweler was also aware. I got my new ring back quickly and its perfect!
Was a piece of cake!
Was a piece of cake to get my engagement ring insured. Will be a consumer for years and years to come!

Briteco is great...until you need to file a claim.
Briteco makes it very easy to sign up for jewelry insurance (which everyone should have!). If you never have to make a claim, they are great for peace of mind. However their claims department is abysmal, and I cannot recommend them if you are ever in the unfortunate circumstances of needing to file one. They dragged me on for months and months (9 to be precise) for my claim, ultimately denying for some loophole or another that they spent those months looking for. For that reason, I've cancelled my policy with them and moved elsewhere.

Took 2min to set up online
I have a couple of Tiffany rings and kept putting off insuring them because I though it would take long. But the experience i had with Briteco was quite the opposite since i got my policy while i was drinking my coffee. Got a quote then picked my coverage and was fully set up online without having to talk to a single person. Im just not a phone call person so that meant a lot to me

Wish I had this before I lost my ring
I lost this ring my best friend gave me last year which wasnt insured and it was genuinely devastating like told myself never again after. A coworker mentioned she has a seperate policy instead of relying to her home owners alone and suggested me to do the same. Got BriteCo shortly after and the thing I appreciate most is this clause called "mysterious disappearance" meaning if you just have no idea where something went they still got you. Thats exactly what happened to me last time and i already recommended it to two people in my family

Smooth claims process
My husband got me a sapphire necklace for our anniversary and I tried not wearing it much to protect it.
Started looking into seperate jewelry insurance because our renters policy had a really low cap for valuables. Someone in a group mentioned Brite co so I checked them out. Had to file a claim with them 4 months after when a small pendant went missing and honestly expected a hassle but it was the opposite. That experience alone made it worth every penny and now I actually wear my necklace freely without that anxious feeling in the back of my mind.

My jeweler actually flagged this when i picked up a custom piece I had made. She mentioned that a lot of people renters insurance covers jewelry properly and it really doesn't hold up when you look at the limits. Spend a weekend researching options and came across briteco through a review thread somewhere. The face that I could get a dedicated policy just for my jewelry without bundling it into something else was exactly what i wanted.

Same coverage as other providers just cheaper price
I have a Rolex submariner and an older omega speedmaster that I care about and my buddy who is really into horology kept telling me to get them insured. Then this one afternoon i sat down after work and started looking at insurnace vendors. I choose BriteCo becuase they offer similar coverage if not the same as hodinket or others but the cost was cheaper. Like for the same loss or theft and even mysterious dissaperance I was seeing elsewhere the premium came out lower than I expected..really happy I finally got this sorted!!

Finally stopped procrastinating on this
I kept being lazy about insuring my engagement ring for around two years because I thought it to be complicated. A friend mentioned she used Briteco after her bracelet got stolen and thats what made me look into it. It didnt take long to purchase a policy from them and it was simple. My ring is appraised at around $6k and i pay bout $120 a year.

Good for vintage pieces
Insured my late aunt's 1950s Van Cleef & Arpels brooch and matching earrings set, appraised at $8,900 in Chicago. Briteco process was efficient and straightforward. Uploaded appraisal from a certified gemologist on Michigan Avenue, paid first month's premium of $12, approved within 48 hours.
Coverage includes travel which is essential since I wear these pieces to events. Website navigation could be smoother and I'd prefer a dedicated phone line for questions, but the core product delivers what it promises at a fair price point.

I feel comfortable wearing my engagement ring in NY
We got engaged in september at Brooklyn notanic garden and the ring is stunning but it's also $8,200. Living in Manhattan and taking the subway everywhere had me worried about losing it or getting mugged or just being clumsy. My old renters insurance only covered $2,000 for jewelry and didn't cover mysterious loss which is my biggest fear because I lose stuff all the time.
Started googling and found them through some reddit thread I think. Setup took maybe 20 minutes on my laptop like uploaded the receipt and appraisal from the the jeweler in the Diamond district. Now i can wear my ring on the subway now without freaking out every two seconds.

Sorted out insurance for my corporate watch
Received an Omega Seamaster from my company for 15 years of service and wasn't sure how to handle insurance for it. Got it appraised at a jeweler in Midtown which came back at $9,200. Checked with my liberty mutual homeowners policy in Westchester and found out watches were only covered up to $2,500 which didn't make sense for this value. Looked into standalone options and went with Brite Co. Application took around 4 minutes with uploading the appraisal PDF. Approved in 3 business days paying premium about $118 yearly and the coverage includes accidental damage and mysterious disappearance.

Cancellation Insurance is a waste
Just got Cancellation insurance from them and it appears that they exclude almost every reason to cancel a wedding from coverage. Absolute waste of money.
Perfect for travelers
I travel a lot for work and was worried about my jewelry being covered abroad. There’s worldwide coverage is standard so I don't have to call and update them everytime I leave the country.

Took some effort trying to add articles to existing policy
UPDATED: I have an existing policy with them for several pieces, and the website seemed unwilling to let me add pieces to my policy. BriteCo contacted me and was able to add the pieces manually. Very happy with their customer service.
