This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
From the start, our order was handled incompetently. Despite being very clear when ordering, the wrong storage style was delivered, collected, and then the replacement arrived in the wrong colour. That alone is unacceptable.
To avoid even more inconvenience, we reluctantly agreed to have the bed assembled by their fitter. That turned out to be a huge mistake. The bed was assembled incorrectly and does not lift properly, meaning the storage function (the entire reason we bought this bed) does not work at all.
We are now sleeping on a broken bed.
Since then, BritBeds have completely ignored us. Messages have gone unanswered, multiple phone calls have been made with no response, and despite appearing “online,” nobody has bothered to reply. No apology. No solution. No accountability.
This company has:
Delivered incorrect items multiple times
Failed to assemble the product correctly
Left us with a faulty, unusable bed
Ignored all attempts to resolve the issue
This level of service is shockingly unprofessional. At this point, I have lost all confidence in BritBeds. If you value your money, your time, or basic customer care, do not use this company.
I will be taking this further if it continues to be ignored.

The US does not have many options for non-plastic beds. After much disappointment with Hastens and an unimpressed visit at a Vispring store, I decided to visit the UK. Roger Charles spent a considerable amount of time with me to find the best bed for us, starting with a meeting in Devon at a shop carrying the models that bear his name. Unfortunately, maybe because of bad timing, that maker was using ticking fabric containing plastic and offered only blends containing acrylic or nylon. But Roger figured out what we needed and helped us choose the Relyon Emperor bed with a split mattress and a divan base. Despite our remote location and the local delivery company being short-staffed delaying delivery by a few weeks, it was worth the wait. Neither of us want to get out of it each morning. The craftwork is exceptional and the fabrics beautiful and soft. Roger chose the legs on the divan for us based on our preferences. The zip and link is well-constructed and does not need extra padding. We lie across it and though I notice where the zipper is, it is not identifiable and it is comfortable. And the mattresses are easy for just me to flip even though together they make an emperor size bed (which is about 3 inches wider than American standard king)! And I am in my 50s weighing 140 pounds. I opted to order the bed without a topper knowing Roger would take care of me later, because I knew my husband would probably prefer it without.

Roger arranged door-to-door delivery upon my request and included delivery of extra items we ordered from the UK through him. I opted to take care of customs myself for the experience. I wished I had also arranged the local delivery portion from the port. (Tip: If you live midway between Boston and New York, choose the New York port or else you wait a few more days. The boat reaches New York first; “always” according to my Boston-based customs broker.)

We received an exceptional product and saved thousands of dollars over the other non-plastic offerings available in the US. Even though I am going to buy a topper after all (because I’m like the princess who could feel a pea under a pile of mattresses) the total cost will still be lower than what Vispring offers for a similar coil count.

Amazing service, very helpful, and wonderful beds delivered without any fuss to the South of France. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Best bed we have ever slept on. BBW are a great company to deal with from start to finish. Lots of communication and help and of course patience whilst we dithered about. I spent years trying to find a mattress in Germany that didn't contain any latex or artificial foam, and failed. After a few searches the name British Beds Worldwide kept popping up. I was initially hesitant due to the post-Brexit import changes, but Roger was a pleasure to deal with and explained every step of the process. I have now received my mattress with no Customs issues and had the best night of sleep in ages!

Because we didn’t find a british mattress in Belgium, we needed a 150 cm one, we contacted Millbrook beds and they recommended this company.
We can’t fault them, they were very helpful and made sure we found the right mattress for us. Delivery was very quick and the driver was very nice. We’re very happy we chose British Beds Worldwide.

Fantastic bed, I no longer suffer with aches and pains, I have only had the bed a week, but I can now sleep through the night, not wanting to get up in the morning, we bought the split bed, so I don’t feel my husband moving.

Roger is friendly and helpful, always replies quickly to questions and is very professional.
An all round brilliant service which I would and have recommended to friends.

Mr. Roger Charles, his team and his suppliers provided us with a complete bed of very high quality. Competence, seriousness, bed science are here at the highest level and at a price/performance ratio that other internationally renowned companies have not managed to match.

The purchase of this bed was for me and my wife perhaps the best investment of our lives. We regained quality sleep, an extraordinary recovery that age had gradually made us lose.

I've had the pleasure of being a customer of Roger Charles at British Beds Worldwide for the past decade, and during that time I have purchased four pocket-sprung mattresses for my properties in Bahrain, Bulgaria, and Dubai. I'm pretty experienced now with what I want in a mattress, I research my purchases myself and then usually just send Roger an email telling him what I'm looking to buy. Then it's all taken care of and I just wait for the mattress to arrive, and Roger keeps me informed at regular intervals in regards to manufacturing and shipping to my chosen location. He will usually respond same day to any emails so all in all a great service that I'm happy to recommend to other potential customers.

We live in France and this is the first time we ordered a bed online.
Excellent service in all aspects of our order and delivery and a very comfortable bed (Relyon Heritage Balmoral).

Very good experience from start to finish. Despite the challenges of our delays due to Coronavirus, BBW maintained excellent communication with us throughout. The delivery driver in Spain was also communicative, helpful and punctual. Would definitely recommend and use them again should the need arise.

Bought beds and mattress’s from BBW several years ago one king size one double for out apartment in Antibes, France. Excellent service and to date have had no issues either the beds. Comfortable and as we rent oir property have had guest comment on the comfort of the beds. If and when needed I will definitely use this company again

Trying to get comfortable mattresses in France was proving difficult, so we were saved by Roger Charles and BBW, who worked out exactly what we needed and found the cheapest method of getting them here. I can strongly recommend them for the personal service and advice which is at a premium nowadays with online buying. In fact I have already recommended them to some friends who were very happy.

We needed 2 new mattresses for beds in our holiday farmhouse deep in the Beaujolais Vert countryside. Normally this would cause shippers to moan that it was inaccessible and they would only deliver at a time to suit them. None of this from Roger. He agreed to deliver on the day of our choice and his shippers found us no problem. By the way the mattresses were excellent as well! Superb service from order to delivery and I would not hesitate to recommend Roger to anyone looking for quality products for delivery in France and further afield. Thanks Roger!

I have known British Beds Worldwide since November 2010 following a house fire which completely destrpyed the contents. I was found a furnished flat by the Mairie but the bed was crippling me as I've had to have multiple surgeries on my spine. I'm truly grateful to Roger & the team for the super orthopoedic bed - plus the others & for the kind & helpful delivery drivers.
