And in English

I believed if you book a cabin you are going to enjoy sailing and rest during the day at sea.
We departed from Bilbao to Ireland Rosslaire port at 6pm. Next morning at 8am they started drilling right next to my cabin. The noise was terrible, why you need to do it while people having a rest. I had been looking for a long sleep on the day at sea. It was ruined. After 2 hours it became unbareble. I went to reception to complain. They said that it would stop now, but they did not stop for another hour! Are you seriuos?
After sailing I send a complaint to Brittany Ferries instagram, they ping pong me to customer support email. So I did. And what response I got? The noise at sea is inevitable. Even thou I had sent them video of the man going all the noise which he shouldnt had done in first place. I want my money back. I am going to continue excalate the case to consumers right board.

I have 204.000 followers on youtube Panorama Travel. I will make few videos about how this situation is developing.
Brittany Ferries is a disgusting company. All they do is pingpong people and dont take responsibility for their mistakes.

Inacceptable behaviour of Brittany Ferries

I had a booking for a crossing from Portsmouth to Caen on 21st February at 15.00. That crossing did not appear on the updates; i found it weird, so I called their office in UK AND in France. they all said that the crossing was maintained and today at 10, I got a message to say the crossing had been cancelled, just at the last minute ! I had to rearrange my booking for the night ferry at 23.00. And pay a supplement of 137 euros which they said will be refunded; But I also have to buy a train ticket and taxi, which I would not have to buy for the 15.00 crossing. This company has absolutely no respect and care for their customers. Their fares are ridiculously high (and higher and higher) for a minimal service; Of course as they have a monopole, we have to use them. I feel gutted. We are hostages as we can't do anything !

Go pee in the car-park

Hundreds of people at the St Malo terminal, most having travelled many hours to get there - with no toilet! Stunning, and probably illegal. There will certainly have been functioning toilets in the building, but only for staff. Along with an extortionate car-park (€17 for 21 minutes) and rocketing foot-passenger fares, I suspect they will lose a lot of customers to EasyJet now there is a choice.

Good, but not good enough

Travelled to France and back last week (31st May - 6th June 2025). The journey overall was good, the new ships ( St Malo & Santona) are nice and modern. However, as we have experienced before, the food choices are very limited for vegetarians and children. In addition, the queue at Le Jardín and Le Litterol were enormous. Be aware, if you're travelling with young children and are vegetarian, pack a sandwich!

Terrible customer service (Land)

This relates to the reservations and land customer service and not onboard.

My second booking with Brittany Ferries and the second very inconvenient rescheduling.

I booked an early bird fare, five months in advance, Rosslare to Cherbourg to arrive in daylight as I have a long onward car drive. When they rescheduled, the offer was a refund or another date if the new times did not suit. I found that they have a sailing from Cork the next day, which suited better, which actually cost €13 less, so I asked reservations to change it for me. They agreed, but, but despite the lower fare, they refused to refund me the €13 difference. If I cancelled the booking, I could get a full refund and book the Cork leg myself, saving the €13! It took 4 days before reservations cancelled the Rosslare leg, by which time, the Cork fare had increased by €40. After several emails and telephone calls, they eventually gave me the sailing at the original fare, but not the €13 refund. I asked for a free gesture such as some meal vouchers or a cabin upgrade to make up for the inconvenience and extra petrol expense and this was flatly refused.
The website says the Salamanca ships offers a “cooked ENGLISH breakfast”, on a France-Ireland sailing, however as the ship arrives at 6AM, the restaurant is not open!

Now, two weeks before travelling, I discovered the price of the outbound sailing and cabin have dropped by €71. I wrote to Brittany's customer services for Ireland-France, based in England! They have a 28 WORKING DAY response time, presumably due to a massive amount of complaints. After a long wait, I received a partial response and a flat refusal of any refund,or gesture. The attitude and lack of any willingness to help or retain customer goodwill from senior agent Charlotte Murray was despicable. She is a disgrace to her profession. She hid behind the company’s terms and conditions and simply did not care about the customer. While Brittany Ferries prices are good, I am very reluctant to trust them again as their land based customer service is terrible. Perhaps the ships and crew will be better.

What an absolute shambles again

What an absolute shambles again. It’s Sunday evening and we’re trying to check in. Can’t move for school children sitting on the floor, can’t check in because all the desks are dealing with teachers who have about 60 passports to get through. When are you going to actually offer decent service to your regular travellers? We use your service every weekend and we’re still treated like cattle.

Cabine immonde

Hi
I wish to complain about the outrageaous state of my cabin. On arrival I noticed how disgusting and filthy it was. Dust everywhere, pubic hair left in the cabin and a dirty bathroom; Clearly this cabin has not been cleaned to a high standard and this is a real shame. Considering the price I paid for this I am due to receive a proper cleaned and spotless room. I took pictures so I send them to you to make you a proper idea of what I encountered. I stayed in cheaper hotels with impeccable cleanliness compared to you. Surely I am expecting a gesture from you

Best Regards
