Please do not order from this company!!!!!!!

Please do not order from this company – appalling in every aspect.

I ordered a new front door on 16th March 2025 and paid a substantial deposit of £825.00. I phoned on numerous occasions to check how my order was progressing and was repeatedly assured it was in manufacture.

After 12 weeks, I started to feel suspicious that something wasn’t quite right. However, when I called again, I was told everything was progressing well and that the door should be ready within two weeks. When I followed up after those two weeks and insisted on a firm answer, I was finally given a delivery and installation date of Monday, 7th July – at last, I thought!

Since I had to take the day off work, I called again on Thursday, 3rd July, as I had still not received any written confirmation of the installation date. That’s when I received an email saying they couldn’t fulfil my order because the company manufacturing the door had gone into liquidation. This seemed odd, as I contacted the manufacturer directly, and they were still very much trading – and as of today, they still are.

I’m have battled to get my deposit refunded and, quite frankly, I believe they should be paying me compensation for holding my money for over 18 weeks. Fortunately, I paid by credit card so have managed to get my money refunded through them.

Customer service has been appalling. If they don’t answer the phone, the call goes to a call centre – and quite honestly, they couldn’t care less. I’m not even sure my many messages were ever passed on, as no one ever called me back.

Be warned: they are clearly liars. Their reviews are terrible (lesson learned – I wish I had read them before ordering).

Worst experience you can imagine

Been over a month since our install started and it’s been the worst experience from start to finish (not even finished yet)

1) They ordered and delivered the wrong door, told us in June it would be 2 weeks for the new door to arrive and still no update on it

2) They have installed some of the windows, which started 2nd July, haven’t even finished yet and it’s taken 3 appointments so far! The fitters always leave around 1pm, so half a days work and have left the rest of the windows and the wrong door in our garden for 5 WEEKS exposed to bad weather, possibility of damage or being stolen- we’ve asked for them to be stored multiple times while we wait for the next appointment but ignored

3) Some of the windows haven’t been filled, so there’s gaps between the house and the window frame- told us over 3 weeks ago they would send someone back and they haven’t

4) The old windows which have been switched should be disposed of as part of the service, but no, some are still left in our garden and shared alley access we have a out a neighbour who is also complaining.

But apart from this extremely poor practice and service all around, their customer service and communication is non-existent and shocking. They rarely if ever respond to emails, NEVER answer the phone and because of this we showed up at their shop instead, which just has a note stuck to the window saying due to staff shortages there’s no one in there. All we want is the windows and doors that we have paid for to be installed but they are basically happy to take your money and not deliver the service and the small parts that have been delivered, have been done poorly. They don’t even care for the bad reviews people leave them and that’s saying something! We’re in the process of trying to get money back and rest assured if you end up in this position with them too, they will just ignore you

If you could give minus stars

If you could give minus stars, I would. To echo the below negative reviews, everything was fine up until the point I paid my deposit. After that, we noticed it wasn’t the correct door on the porch, there was literal months (Feb to July) of asking them to change it, calling and emailing numerous people, who never reply or call you back until Daryl confirmed the correct door in June. Our install was meant to be at the end of June, the fitters seem to only work half days, so have been 3 times so far over the span of a month and still not all of the windows are in- they’ve just left them in my garden, exposed to bad weather or being stolen, even though I have complained and asked them if they can store them multiple times. My new door still hasn’t been delivered, two windows still haven’t been put in and we’re currently in discussions with the bank to recall money for the unfinished job, as well as trading standards. It’s absolutely appalling, the worst communication you will ever experience. Couldn’t warn people off of them enough

Absolute garbage communication

Absolute garbage communication. They dont answer emails, dont answer the phone or when you eventually get to leave a message, bother calling back. They measured the windows twice, then when they came to fit them they were both the wrong size and type. Then they "were made" and booked in to be installed, except I was informed on the day they werent put on the van, whatever that means, and here I am still waiting 3 weeks after that date to get a new install date. Not sure how it takes this long to move something from a van to my garage so clearly this was a lie and they ballsed something up again.

Edit: They were meant to be installed today, yet again they were apparently not delivered! Clearly this place is trying to fleece people, totally incompetent all round. Avoid them unless you wnat your time wastred and money missing

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Have been waiting nearly 6 months for our windows to be fitted only to be told last minute that not all of the windows have been manufactured. Impossible to get in contact with anyone and this is unfortunately a last resort to try and get some response from them. Has been an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. 0 communication and constant lies and let downs. Please do not waste your time and money. This sudden influx of positive reviews seems very suspicious and I would not trust them. Overall an extremely disappointing, frustrating and stressful experience.

Avoid

I’m very disappointed with my experience with Bromley Windows and Doors. I found the team to be unhelpful and, at times, quite rude.

I specifically requested a low threshold door, but the one that was installed does not match the measurements detailed on the order form. Despite raising this issue promptly, the company has failed to take responsibility and has ignored my follow-up emails and complaint. All I received was intimidating emails threatening additional fees if I didn't pay the final instalment.

It wasn't until I left a negative comment on one of their Facebook ads that I finally received a response. I was promised that the issue would be investigated and resolved promptly. Two weeks later, despite further follow-up, I’ve heard nothing back.

I’m now reminded of this poor experience every time I step through my front door, it’s frustrating and disappointing. I chose to support a local business, but unfortunately, I've been left with a poor product and even worse customer service. I won’t be using Bromley Windows and Doors again, nor will I be recommending them to others.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE COWBOYS

If you value your money, time and mental health then STAY AWAY from Bromley doors and Windows.
We ordered a bay window and a front door in November, then added another door and a small window for a porch.
We were promised a “before Christmas” delivery for the 1st order which they didn’t fulfil.
They’ve sent installers around 3 times with the wrong items. Finally we had the 2 doors installed but they were installed incorrectly and damaged in the process.
Still no answer regarding the bay window or the porch window No one in that company seems to know what’s going on. The amount of chasing we’ve done is ridiculous. At the beginning of February we had Andy, the managing director visiting us to apologise for the terrible service and promised that everything would be sorted by the end of the month.
Since then he has all but disappeared. They don’t respond to e-mails, voicemails or calls.
The last thing that we heard from them was an email saying that they “won’t be able to fulfil our order”, so they’re going to cancel it. With no extra information or courtesy call. Basically this is a door and window business which can’t deliver doors and windows.
As we stand today, May 2025, 6 months after placing the initial order, they took our money and then broke the contract and cancelled the remaining items.

New Porch

Thank you so much for our lovely new porch. The information and advice was spot on and now we have a lovely new porch with a fantastic new door. Can’t fault this company very pleased with everything.

Make sure you see what you buy!!!

Please take my advise and go to a company where you can see what you buy. You will thank me a lot!
After sale service, almost impossible to get in touch, even now after months no reply. Not happy with my choice.

Sorry that you felt this way, we re attending a few times and your problem was fixed. Sliding doors are heavy and come with woolpile to keep them airtight, both engineers who attended said they was working fine, to leave a 1 star review is very disappointing.

Don't expect after sales service

We had a new front door fitted. The quality of the door and lock was fine, but after sales service is non existent. More than 2 months after fitting the door we are still waiting for the door knocker.
