HORRIBLE COMPANY

DO. NOT. USE. THIS. COMPANY. They are predatory in their practices. After initially understanding that I could cancel within 72 hours for a large portion of my refund back, I cancelled within 30 MINUTES after reading about how horrible their company is online. After trying to get my refund back, they had a bunch of fine print that made that impossible. For the THIRTY MINUTES that they were my moving company before I cancelled, they refuse to give me A THOUSAND DOLLARS back. Absolutely misleading and despicable practices, and they are leeching and taking advantage of vulnerable people who are moving and relocating quickly. I will never use this company, and the way they treated me is unlike any company I have ever worked with. Any company that has to hide the inability to cancel THIRTY MINUTE LATER into their contract and not tell the person while she asks on the phone about cancellation is shady and should not be allowed to have a business. Please do yourself a favor and do not give this company your business.

They will tell you how I signed a contract, but that was entirely misleading and inappropriate given that they informed me INCORRECTLY about the cancellation policy. And I was coerced into signing over the phone and took their word at face value. Zero humanity at this company. 0 stars.

Also the document you show in your reply doesn’t even have my name spelled correctly. It says “Kayla” as of 1/17/2024. So I don’t accept that as proof of my knowledge of your lack of cancellation policy. Thanks!

Hello Kayla,

I hope this message finds you well. We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns regarding the recent cancellation of your move reservation from NY to NV. You reserved your move with a moving company you requested a quote from. Calling this business a Corey business is absolutely out of line for you to even say that. You decided to cancel your move two hours after you reserved because you wanted to go with the new company that quoted you a cheaper price we said we can price match meter beat the price. We also told you you can keep the original schedule we gave you so many different options however, services were rendered because your move was two weeks out from the date you signed meaning that your Carrier signed his agreement and job acceptance form And scheduled you . It stated clearly in the three documents that you signed that your deposit was nonrefundable so I think that you should re-consider your review as we are not predators.

Upon reviewing the circumstances, we want to emphasize that our policy, as outlined in the estimate you signed, clearly states that once a carrier is assigned, no refund can be issued due to the immediate dispatch of the job. We did, however, extend the courtesy of providing credit for you to reschedule your move within 24 months.

It's important to note that our intention is not to take advantage of our clients but to adhere to the policies in place. We offered alternatives such as rescheduling dates or maintaining the original reservation, but unfortunately, these options were declined.

We value your business and wish you the best in your future move endeavors. Should you reconsider, our extended credit remains available for your convenience.
This client is not being truthful on her response as not only is the cancellation policy on our website under cancellation policy. It’s also on the DocuSign that she filled out with her credit card information and here is the electronic signature we would request this for this review to be removed as we can provide documentation to prove otherwise.

Here is your electronic Signature please read fully

Electronic Signature: Kayla Goldman

I hereby confirm my signature on the following document: Thank You for choosing Bronze Star Moving and Storage (Broker). This is your cancellation policy after 72 hours your deposit is non-refundable. If you do cancel in your 72- hour window a 15% cancellation fee will be processed due to processing and bank fees. If customer books their move within fourteen (14) business days of the pick-up date, the 72- hour window is null and void. Any cancellation shall be made in writing to billing@bronzestarmoving.com. Any questions please call (888) 610-5045. Thank you for choosing Bronze Star Moving and Storage.

We contacted Bronze Star Moving and…

We contacted Bronze Star Moving and Storage and their pitch was that they would be our main contact throughout the move until everything wad settled. They are strictly a broker and charge you 30% just to put you in touch with a mover which you never know until the day they show up. Ours was TicToc Moving which is another review. Duing the move we were being double charged for packing materials that the mover forgot to bring. I contacted our representative at Bronze Star and she told us to Claim it on the delivery end. The mover wouldn't take our goods if we didn't pay the charge in cash. After the move we had over half our goods damaged or destroyed. We claimed th double charge on our claim and were told too bad. We couldn't claim it. I contacted Bronze Star but no response. Then after the claim was filed I never received the check from TicToc so I once again contacted Bronze Star but no response so I contacted them again and still no response. I guess being my main contact only applies until the goods are picked up.

Dear Bill Lentz,

We regret the delay in addressing your concerns following your November 8th, 2022 move. We have not heard from you since Dec. 2022. We've thoroughly investigated your experience, and it seems there are discrepancies between your review and our records.

Regarding the $75 packing credit, we rectified the oversight by covering the charge and directly reimbursed your carrier at no expense to you. Additionally, our itemized bill detailed all packing charges incurred during the loading, which we reviewed with you in a recorded call. During this conversation, you indicated understanding and satisfaction with our resolution of the $75 charge.

After loading, you opted for complimentary storage for up to 30 days, and upon confirming your delivery address on 12/02/2022, you finalized delivery arrangements on 12/06/2022.

Upon your report of damages during transit on 12/06/2022, we promptly provided claims information for you to file necessary forms via moving claims.net. Please note, reimbursements for damages come from the carrier’s insurance via their claims department, not directly from the carrier. We were unaware of any settlement issues as the insurance company directly issues the reimbursement, not the carrier.

To address any remaining concerns, please contact info@bronzestarmoving.com or reach out to us at (888) 610-5045 directly.

Sincerely,

Do not use Bronze Star Moving and Storage

Bronze Star Moving and Storage contacted me on 11/10 as I was looking for a quote for a full move of my house on 11/30. I first talked to Ross Felderman, I explained to him that I was needed the move to be well below the $5k mark and he took my inventory. After he gave me a quote he then transferred me to Thomas Ackerman and he told me that he just so happened to have a family in my area cancel for move on the same days I was looking to move.
I was a little hesitant with how fast he was trying to move through the process but told me "You should really lock this in now to get the lower rate" I had expressed to Tom that I was still concerned with the price and would to check out the quote more and crunch the numbers and also expressed concern about the reason for my move falling through and asked specifically "Before I sign anything I want to make sure that there would be no penalties if I was to cancel." I also told him that is was hard to read everything since I was having to do it all on my phone, but he told me "Don't worry about cancelling, if you really need to we can also rescheduled the move, just sign and we can lock in the price."
Weekend happened, I had a look at the inventory of my house and also other financial issues, I decided I needed to cancel. I emailed and was told, "With the holidays coming up there are less business days, so the day Tom signed you up, you automatically fell into our no refund period on the deposit."
So even with telling Tom my concerns with cancelling and having trouble reading on my phone, he made no indication that as soon I signed, I was locked in.
They have given me options of just selling my stuff so the move isn't so expensive and are very quick to say "Don't bother disputing the charges, you'll just lose." they are also just trying to get me to take $600 and walk away, that's the most they would give me back.
They have predatory business practices and I'm not the first person they have done this to.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. We understand your dissatisfaction and wish to clarify some points. As per our agreement, moves scheduled within 14 business days from the deposit date are non-refundable. This condition is explicitly stated in the estimate, which you acknowledged by electronically signing. We have also explained to you why you cannot receive a refund. Your job was already dispatched, and the job acceptance form was signed off by your assigned carrier.
As you are aware we follow guidelines set forth by the US Department of Transportation. We provided you a binding estimate. Later finding out you wanted to move not 1 but 2 cars by auto transport at no additional cost to you whatsoever. We explained in detail that was not possible as you must pay for auto transport on and it entails a second truck arriving for loading of the two cars it is a separate quote all together. You said that you cannot afford this move due to your work paying and giving you a set amount. We spent countless days and hours to find a solution that would work for you. Regarding the changes in your move, you initially requested a quote for your household move and later, after you reserved requested to add the transportation of two cars without considering the additional cost. Unfortunately, including the cars without extra payment was not feasible. We made every effort to find solutions, including offering a reduction in items to cut down the overall cost, which you declined. You explained you felt pressured however normal families are suggested to schedule moves 4-6 weeks in advance due to planning and coordinating the interstate long distance move. You waited under 14 business days. The pressure was already on you for waiting last minute to find movers. You were in no way forced to sign and because you had waited last minute to find movers your price was likely to increase because much like airline tickets the closer you wait to the date you need to fly the lower the availability and the more the price is. This is in no way deceptive because we have to follow the guidelines of the US DOT and we don’t get to make prices up. Your price per cubic ft is set in the system we do not get to change this. It is based on the size of the move, the distance the move is traveling, and services ordered such as auto transport of cars would be a separate quote given to you separate from the household move. Meaning a totally separate car carrier would have to quote you for the auto and send you a quote just for the vehicle because a separate auto shipper handles the auto. That company has a different name completely and is licensed through the US DOT for auto shipping. We strictly do household goods moves however are happy to assist clients that want to ship cars with the move. We have received numerous emails, filled with threats and foul language. You said you were told you could cancel verbally; however, you never requested a clause be added to the overriding the cancel policy you signed for 3 times.. You read your terms on all the 3 documents you filled out each one clearly stating no refund. We find these claims made are untrue and because you are not happy with the outcome of a refund you are turning towards reviews. However, we need to ensure that both sides of the situation are heard. We also need to remind you that multiple solutions were suggested and that you refused all options. We regret any confusion but assure you that our practices align with the agreements you signed, which outlined the services and terms explicitly. Your assigned carrier and crew were ready for the scheduled move, and services were prepared accordingly.
We respect your opinion and regret that we couldn't meet your expectations despite our efforts to provide multiple solutions within the agreed-upon framework.

Best regards,

Do not use this Company!!
Dishonest group & the quote was 3000.00 total But actual costs were > $ 10,000 plus their fee!! You can cancel your move but tough crap because they were already paid
$ 1000.00. Nothing was explained up front. I was never told that the company is a broker!!! They have all of the answers but aren’t true because, I can prove it by the many interactions with this company. They take advantage of the little people & know exactly how to cover their butts legally. I recommend being very careful, a lot of questions & get everything in writing no matter who you communicate. I encountered lies & misinformation by omission of the truth by this company.

Dear Kate,

We appreciate your feedback and would like to address your concerns. First, we want to clarify that being a broker for interstate moving is a standard practice in the industry. Brokers work with carriers to facilitate moving jobs, as carriers typically do not handle customer service, dispatch, or reservations for long-distance moves. This information is clearly stated in our US Department of Transportation registration and is mentioned six times in the estimate and bill of lading you signed.

Regarding the estimate, you received a Binding Moving Estimate based on the specific items and services you initially requested. This estimate is designed to remain unchanged as long as you do not add additional items or services. A week before the move, we reached out to you for a quality assurance call to update your inventory and provide you with an updated price. Unfortunately, you refused this call, which led to a last-minute addition of double the items from your original estimate on the day of loading. This understandably resulted in a 50% increase in the cost.

Because you refused to complete that call a week before loading. On the day when the movers did arrive you decided to last min go ahead and add double the amount you gave us on the first estimate and that is exactly the reason your price increased about 50% at loading. By law before the movers touch anything they have to list the condition, name of furniture, and amount of pieces going.Your movers gave you the revised estimate as DOT regulations require. Your list doubled due to you adding items not on the original estimate.

Our estimates are very straightforward forward and it goes into detail about additional items and services being added. It also shows the list of items and the names of each item you listed off at the bottom of the quote right before the signature. You were explained that as long as your list remains the same you would not be charged more for the exact services ordered in the orrigional estimate. You refused the call to make any updates prior to the mover's arrival at loading and then tried to do it with the movers on-site at your home. We want to emphasize that our estimates are clear and detailed, explaining the possibility of additional charges for extra items and services. You were informed that as long as your inventory remained the same, the price would not change. Regrettably, you chose to make changes on the day of loading rather than during the quality assurance call as suggested.

Additionally, the movers even offered to revert to the original cost for the services you initially ordered, provided you handled the additional items yourself. Unfortunately, this offer was declined, leading to the refusal of service.

Our customer service and quality assurance teams made several attempts to communicate with you from the scheduling of the move until loading, aiming to prepare you for a smooth move. We understand that moving can be a stressful process, and we genuinely tried to assist you.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and wish you the best of luck with your move. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer service team.

Thank you,
Bronze Star Moving and Storage

Do not use this company they will take…

Do not use this company they will take your money and then not fulfill their end of the deal. They originally quoted us $6500 and then two days before the move they said it was going to be an additional $11,000. That’s why they’re called bronze star not Gold star or platinum just noticed their name before you book them. They are only a broker not the actual moving company. They are very good communicators until the time of the move comes. Beware!!!

Hello Craige,

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I appreciate your detailed account of the situation. It's crucial for us to address your concerns and provide clarity. Upon Further investigation into this matter, I would like to address a few key points you are not including in this review. Regarding the name "Bronze Star," you've clarified that it refers to the United States Armed Forces decoration, which provides context our name Bronze Star is for The Bronze Star Medal (BSM) is a United States Armed Forces decoration awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces for either heroic achievement, heroic service, meritorious achievement, or meritorious service in a combat zone. The medal can be earned through heroic achievement or heroic service that shows extraordinary bravery and courage during combat operations. It can also be awarded to those who perform their duties in a meritorious manner in a combat zone, even if they do not directly participate in combat action. Many members of the military are honored to receive this medal for their service to our Country. We are military friendly servicing more than 1-200 moves annually under military member moves. We love our Veterans!!!
We understand that moving can be a stressful time, and our goal is to ensure a smooth transition for our clients. It's also important to clarify our role as a broker. We work within the guidelines set by the US DOT FMCSA and provide binding estimates to our customers. The revision process is intended to ensure that the moving services are adequately prepared for the items being transported. We appreciate your flexibility in providing additional information and photos to help with this process. We understand that the added packing requirements for certain items, like taxidermy animals, resulted in an increase in the estimate. While we strive to maintain transparency in our pricing, we also prioritize the safe transportation of items, which can affect the space and materials needed. We always try to make sure anything needed for this move is ordered and priced ahead of loading. We did a quality assurance call when you sent in the pictures of all these items, none were taken down off the wood plaques some were on see nary like the goat on a log looking like it was jumping down off rocks. None of these animals were packed by you or created ready for loading. You had all of these animals on stands or sculpted scenery not disassembled booked created ready to go. Your price increased for the amount of special packing you would require and we are an interstate household goods carrier/broker. These are not standard pieces of furniture the movers can even disassemble and be covered under the carrier's insurance. Our aim is always to provide excellent customer service and ensure that our clients are well informed about their moving plans. You did not order any packing to be done on the original estimate. This was not disclosed to us prior to the scheduling of the move. We move taxidermy statues in many residents homes that have these pieces packed professionally by a 3rd party that specializes in packing these. The price you were given reflected the services you wanted and ordered last minute. We also want to clarify that your reservation fee is non-refundable, but it can be applied to another move or transferred to a friend or family member's move within 24 months. We appreciate your understanding of our role as a broker and your willingness to work through the challenges you faced during this process. If you would like to reschedule the pick-up and have time to pack these items securely, please let us know, and we'd be more than happy to assist you in moving forward. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we're committed to addressing any concerns you may have. Please let us know if you have any further questions or requests. Your satisfaction is our priority.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Feels like a scam. Ross from Bronze Star Moving took our inventory about a month before out move. He intentionally didn't ask us basic question about furniture or do a thorough walk-through. After our call he quoted us a lower price than other companies, stating the reason being we would be sharing a van with another family.
Cut to 2 days before our move, Ross called again, this time asking for pictures and very specific and thorough questions about our inventory. (Ex: how many chairs, how many speakers). Once he had properly taken the inventory, the price more than DOUBLED. When asked why he hadn't asked us the SAME exact question in the first call, he did not have an answer.
We had already paid a non-refundable deposit so we had no choice but to continue. I tried contacting customer support to ask for some sort of price adjustment due to this intentional malpractice, but they just stopped responding to me after a while of leading me on. They are BROKERS not mover, and they charge an exorbitant price for not even being able to correctly take inventory. It's a bait and switch SCAM. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!!!

Dear Sarayu,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your concerns and would like to clarify a few points. Our team has been dedicated to maintaining open lines of communication through emails, calls, and texts, ensuring a seamless experience for you.

We want to assure you that our credentials are verifiable, as we are registered both as a Broker and Carrier entity on the FMCSA DOT GOV website. This registration serves as proof of our legitimacy and credibility as a motor carrier/broker this information is all able to be viewed directly at https://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/hhg/SearchDetails.asp?ads=&id=30179383&id2=31965229&f=search%3D3%26CNS%3D1%26CN%3DBronze%2BStar%26DOT%3D%26MC%3D%26Submit%3DSearch.
Regarding the quote provided on May 10th, 2023, we ensured that it included all relevant details and adhered to the required legal standards. Our goal is to offer transparent estimates that encompass all items and services requested. It’s essential to note that binding estimates are calculated based on the inventory list provided by the customer. Any additions or modifications to the inventory list will naturally affect the final cost.

Understanding Your Estimate-
By signing this Binding Estimate for Services, the customer is acknowledging and agreeing to the following:
This BINDING estimate is based upon the specific list of items to be moved and services ordered as listed on the estimate. If the inventory is correct, remains unchanged, and the services to be performed do not change, then the estimated cost will remain the same. However, if additional inventory is added or if extra services are added, then the estimated cost will change. Make sure everything you are planning to move is listed on your articles list. If additional services are needed make sure they are listed on this estimate. Additional services included, but are not limited to, packing, storage, long carry, shuttle, stairs fees, and expedited delivery. This document is an estimate only; it is only binding for the specific services and items listed here within; any deviation of the services listed and ordered will result in a new estimate being issued. In such cases, a revised written visual estimate must be executed prior to any services being performed.
To avoid unexpected charges, we took the initiative to reach out to you on June 16th and revised the estimate, incorporating the changes you had requested. This included a considerable expansion in inventory and distance. The updated estimate of $4,715.16 reflected the increased scope of the move, encompassing additional services and accommodating the long journey from California to Brooklyn, NY.
We also aimed to be upfront about potential additional fees, such as those related to stairs, long carry, and shuttle service. These were outlined in the estimate to ensure complete transparency. Our intention was never to hide any costs or services.
While we understand your frustration, it’s important to highlight the significance of notifying us about modifications to the move’s details well in advance. This practice helps us provide accurate estimates and avoid any surprises during the pick-up process. We genuinely regret any misunderstanding that led you to feel dissatisfied. Please know that we always strive to address our customers’ concerns promptly and professionally. We are disappointed that you felt compelled to label us as a scam, as this does not align with our commitment to delivering high-quality service.
We sincerely hope that your move to New York goes smoothly, and we remain available to assist you with any future inquiries. Thank you for considering us for your relocation needs.

Best regards,

Bronze Star Moving and Storage

Bronze Star Crooks and Liars

Moving is stressful, your mind is on packing and all kinds of other important issues. If your working it’s probably on that too. Then you run into bronze star, moving and storage, I didn’t see an advertisement that said they were brokers. What I saw advertised was moving company. What they quoted was decent from NY to Texas. For a 1 bedroom no bed very little furniture. I was also in a hurry. It’s when you talk to the people on the phone they don’t tell you they are a broker they lie and allude to being the actual moving company. They say oh secure your spot right now with $1000 you’re just happy to find a mover so you use your credit card to do this( most people don’t read the fine print ALWAYS read the fine print!) These people pray on people who are in a hurry or that don’t have a lot of experience moving. Why would anyone pay someone 1k to find them a mover? So they can pay even a higher quote then they were told by bronze star mover? I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would do that or even hire someone like bronze star to make a moving bid for you? no absolutely not. If I would’ve known, that’s what they were I would’ve never even contacted them. If the fast talking ladies in customer service at bronze star would have been honest and not lied when I asked them straight questions. I would’ve said no thank you and hung up. However, I was misled to believe they were the actual moving company paying $1000 that you think is toward to move. The real moving company shows up. Very late… your supposed to be out of your place. What can you do ? When I found this out I wanted to cancel. you’re in a spot… that’s in the next review Express movers don’t use them either! The move that was supposed to cost me $2800 or something like that ended up costing over 4,000 plus bronze stars thousand dollar fee. If you cancel well you made a very expensive phone call for $1000 either way. So basically when I called the office the day of the move they told me well it’s not our fault that you didn’t read the fine print. You signed the contract. They lied. Bronze star has to lie because they know that it would be very hard to get someone to pay $1000 to have them make a phone call for you to get a moving company that you could get on your own. Anyway, people like this really need to be taken down. They should not be operating a business they are crooks they don’t care about you and they don’t care about your move. Neither do the movers that they’re in cahoots with. Who end up charging you even more money to stuff your stuff in with about 20 other peoples crap sky high in a semi truck. Just warning you if you go with these people you’re going to have a horrible move experience. Plus you’ll be manipulated and lied to, and made to look like a total idiot. I will be busy this year making sure that these people go out of business or at the very giving them the same headache they gave me, so that they can’t scam people anymore. Most people don’t have time for this and don’t want to have to take legal action for 1k they are just so happy the move is over with. Well not me. This year I will be taking my time to make sure I do whatever I can to stop these people from being crooks and liars, taking advantage of people who are stressed out putting them in horrible situations when they are facing one of the most stressful things people go through in life. I think they say other than divorce.

Hello Terri,

We truly appreciate you sharing your experience with us, and we apologize for any miscommunication or frustration you may have experienced during your move. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and stress-free moving process for all our customers, and it seems we fell short of your expectations.
We understand that moving can be a challenging and overwhelming task, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this caused. Our customer service department worked diligently to assist you throughout this process, and we want to address your concerns. We were booked 4 days before you needed the pickup of a long distance move. Most clients book moves 30 days at least ahead of the dates they need to make preperations.
When we initially scheduled your move, your shipment fell under the 2,000 lb minimum. We provided you with a Binding Moving Estimate in accordance with regulations and US DOT guidelines. It's important to note that this type of estimate locks in the price as long as you don't add additional items or services beyond what's specified.
We attempted to communicate with you before the move to review the inventory and ensure accuracy. However, due to the last-minute scheduling, we couldn't conduct a comprehensive update call. We emphasize that advance planning and communication can greatly contribute to a successful cross-country move.
During the loading process, the movers promptly notified us of a significant increase in the size of the shipment compared to what was initially communicated. We immediately provided you with options:
- you could keep the original inventory and price,
- 2nd option you could have choosen to include the additional items and receive a revised estimate.
Unfortunately, you declined both options and decided not to proceed with the move. We understand that emotions can run high during a move, and it's our aim to provide transparent and accurate information. We do acknowledge that our communication could have been clearer and more upfront about our role as a broker in the moving process. We want to assure you that our website openly states our status as a licensed interstate household goods broker and common carrier.
" You can view all of this openly on our webiste which is legally oporating and upfront with who and what we are. www.bronzestarmovingandstorage.
The problem was you started to talk to other movers after refusing the bid with the new list of inventory you wished to add on the day of loading. They told you "bait and switch." Not a carrier. Also even saying how moving compared to a death in the family or as emotional as getting married or divorced. However, we addressed all your concirnes and we rehendered service as we stated on your Binding Moving estimate. We can not ask movers to move items free of charge. Here and there we do for smaller items like a few extra boxes. This was not a few extra boxes.
We respect your decision to share your experience, and we are committed to learning from this situation to better serve our customers in the future. We're truly sorry that your moving experience didn't meet your expectations, and we genuinely wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Take care and all the best,
Chloe Miller

Bait and switch

Actual cost was over 2x the estimate. This is even with one stop omitted. I sent Bronze star photos of the rooms and boxes and they gave me a price. Since they are not a moving company, just a broker they have no idea who they are going to send. They sent a company from Chicago to move things in Iowa and Minnesota. The Chicago company cares nothing for the estimate and then wanted twice the amount in cash. They finally accepted a credit card but would not accept the original estimate or anything close to it. Bait and switch.

Re explanation below…in no way did we double the size of our shipment to incur over double the price. The movers who showed up had absolutely no clue as to a previous estimate. There was no way I was going to give all my and the cash they were demanding to strangers. Lesson learned. Only deal with locals.

Dear Kathleen,
We apologize for the stress and inconvenience you experienced during your move. We understand that moving can be overwhelming, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We’d like to address your concerns regarding the cost discrepancy and clarify our policies.
Firstly, we want to assure you that we are not a “bait and switch” business. Our intention is not to deceive customers with fraudulent practices. Bait and switch involves providing a low estimate to lure customers and then demanding significantly more money. We operate transparently and adhere to federal regulations in providing Binding Moving Estimates.
When you initially listed the items for your move, we provided a Binding Estimate based on that list and the services requested. However, you made changes to the inventory, increasing the cubic footage, and adding items not included in the original estimate. As a result, the cost of the move increased accordingly, as outlined in our terms and conditions.
We allow our clients to review and amend the estimate before loading takes place, providing an opportunity to ensure everything is accurately listed. Any additions or changes made after the initial estimate naturally affect the final cost.
Regarding the date change fee, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and we try to accommodate date changes whenever possible. However, last-minute changes during the busy season require extra efforts on our part, including arranging trucks from other states. As such, there are associated costs, which are clearly outlined in our estimate terms.
We strive to be transparent about additional fees, and we list them in the estimate, including the credit card processing fee. While we prefer certified funds for loading, we accept credit card payments as a convenience for our customers, despite incurring a 6% merchant fee.
We genuinely care about our customers and operate with high moral standards. Our goal is to make the moving process as smooth as possible while providing accurate estimates and being upfront about any additional charges. We apologize if there was any misunderstanding, and we value your feedback to improve our services.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Customer Support
