BRoW4 CIC is dedicated to encouraging a supportive and inclusive culture amongst the whole organisations Our aim is to ensure that all volunteers and event participants are given equal opportunity and that our organisation is representative of all sectors of society. Each person will be respected and valued and able to give their best as a result. We recognise and accept our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010. However, we also recognise that we have moral and social responsibilities that go beyond the provisions of the Act, and that BRoW4 should support and contribute to the wider process of change through all aspects of its work and practices in order to eliminate discrimination and promote equality and diversity. BRoW4 is committed to taking positive steps to ensure that: • All people are treated with dignity and respect, valuing the diversity of all. • Equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusivity is promoted. • Services are accessible, appropriate, and delivered fairly to all. • The mix of its volunteers and management committees reflects, as far as possible, the broad mix of the population of its local community. • Traditionally disadvantaged sections of the community are encouraged to participate in policy decisions about, and the management of the services provided. BRoW4’s goal is to work towards a just society free from discrimination, harassment and prejudice. BRoW4 aims to embed this in all its policies, procedures, day-to-day practices, and external relationships. Our aims are to: • Provide events and activities that are accessible according to need. • Promote equality of opportunity and diversity in volunteering and development. • Create effective partnerships with all parts of our community. BRoW4 recognises, respects and values diversity in its directors and volunteers.
