The driveway and road was completely iced over and resulted in us having to buy chains in order to access the rental. We expected the rental to be accessible considering the area had not received snow in 3+ weeks. The only line on their website mentions "4-wheel drive cars are highly recommended". We did not see any reference to needing changes or a 4wd car in the instructions, emails, or any other communication. It would have been great to know that they are needed to access the rental. In talking with their customer support they stated that it was sent in an email but they were unable to point out exactly where. They then hung up when I asked to chat with a manager. Fair caution to anyone considering booking through this company.

This was our first time staying at a Buckingham property, but it definitely won’t be the last! Not only did they help us through the initial process of selecting which property would best suit our group, but they were incredibly accommodating throughout the entirety of our two month stay. They were quick to respond to any questions we had, even setting us up with a new garage door opener, and upgrading our WiFi to a faster speed free of charge when we discovered the initial speeds were a little bit too slow for all of us to work remotely. Additional extra touches like cleaning and cooking supplies, plentiful linens and toiletries, etc were much appreciated as well. We were blown away by the service and are already looking forward to our next stay with Buckingham!

Our stay with Buckingham Luxury Vacation Rentals was wonderful. Check-in and Check-out went smoothly and the rental was exactly as expected. During times with covid, the cleaning crew did an outstanding job making sure it was clean before our arrival.

This is a great property and the mgmt company was responsive to all matters throughout my stay. I would highly recommend them and use their services again. Thank you!

It was easy to find and the direction to get to the keys and get in the home was also easy to follow. It was very spacious and clean. It was also less than 5 minutes away from the downtown area. I highly recommend this place. I'd stay here again!

Perfect house for all of the activities that South Lake Tahoe has to offer!

This place was perfect for what my family and I needed. The space and amenities it came with were just right for all of us, from the toddlers to the older folks. Only things I would suggest on improving would be more thorough check of the grounds due to finding two dead birds upon arrival - one by the garage and one on the roof next to the master room balcony. Perhaps a bigger or extra bear locker for trash, curtains for the bathrooms for those showering or taking a bath can have privacy since a lot of the windows face the neighbors, and updating facts about the place to reflect things like the garages are NOT for patron use. Just little things that definitely did NOT detract from how awesome the place is. Thank you!

The folks at Buckingham were friendly, responsive, and capable. Asks we had around the house were handled promptly (in one case, by their dedicated IT person—a luxury we've never had at other rental properties!) and courteously.

Overall a speedy and pleasant experience. Looking forward to working with them again in the future!

R.C. and Chelsea were extremely helpful in booking our reservation. There were a few ups and down, especially related to Covid and having the house we booked being sold prior to our arrival. Apparently, the new owners had to have a new permit in order to honor our reservation, which seem to slip through the cracks. Fortunately, Buckingham provided us with a few other options. Unfortunately, when this came to light, there were not a lot of homes available to choose from. However, we were able to find ONLY one that was doable, considering the size of our group. This could have been a disaster since all our reservations were made. In spite of this, our family had a wonderful time. Thanks to Buckingham for making this happen.

I was not impressed by the management of Buckingham Realty. I had a short term rental with Buckingham for 4 months. There were many repairs and services needed on the house and Buckingham never took responsibility to coordinate or communicate these appointments. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating.

Perfect! My family’s 5 night stay at the “birds nest” was great. Small, perfect intimate cabin. It had everything we absolutely needed for some great family time. There was great communication prior to our stay and after (as I left a jacket behind) and I was able to pick it up at the property office. Check in/ check out was super convenient and easy as well.

The people at Buckingham are so easy to work with and are very responsive and helpful.

Honestly the easiest stay ever. Excellent communicators answered the phone quickly and responded to all emails promptly. House rules and information was well organized and easy to access!

The best property in the best location, and top notch hospitality from Buckingham. We will definitely be back.

I’ve used Buckingham Properties a number of times. I’m always more than satisfied and this time was no different.

The day before my arrival the property I reserved became unavailable. They reached out and offered another property that was just beautiful. I will continue to use them.

I highly recommend booking with Buckingham Luxury Vacation Rentals! The communication before and during our stay was awesome. The cleanliness of the cabin was impeccable, being able to smell lingering scents from the cleaning crew was reassuring.

The house is very clean and in a very nice part of the Cove. Excellent service, seamless check in and check out. Will definitely be back again!

If I can give this place a 10 stars I would.
This place is every warm/homey, up to date, has all the stuff you need to make it a temporary home/ weekend getaway.
My little family had an amazing time here, we didn’t go out much and I am glad it worked out that way.
Thank you for letting us enjoy this home and hopefully we can come back again in the future
