It's a scam. Cheap rental but they make it on the back end with additional charges. Better just paying the extra and going with someone else.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience renting a vehicle from Budget keflavik. During my rental period, the car broke down due to an AdBlue sensor failure—an issue completely beyond my control. This left me stranded and significantly disrupted my trip.

To make matters worse, I had to personally cover the cost of towing the vehicle to the airport, and despite the car being unusable for several days, the company has refused to reimburse my expenses or refund the days I was left without a vehicle.

What makes this situation even more frustrating is that Budget Keflavik is quick to charge customers for even the smallest issues, yet when a mechanical failure happens due to their own faulty vehicle, they take no responsibility. It is completely unacceptable for a globally recognized company to treat customers this way.

I strongly advise others to be cautious when booking with them. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service show that they prioritize profits over fair treatment of customers. Rent elsewhere if you expect reliability and fairness.
