I’ve been using bulk whey isolate protein for about 7 months now while training hard and on a weight loss journey. It’s been incredible for me. I add the “neutral” flavour to my coffee, banana and spinach smoothie in the morning (trust me it’s nicer than it sounds🤣) and it’s been a game changer. Hitting my protein goals has been easy and muscle recovery is soooo much better!! I add it to hot chocolate and even slim fast to add protein. Great stuff!! Well done “Bulk”!

Lying customer service
Ordered 2.5kg banana clear whey isolate as I do maybe twice a month, along with other items. However, This time it had no flavour and the consistency was different. Queried it with a customer advisor, as I thought maybe they changed an ingredient, and they told me that there is no difference to the recipe. But due to the raw ingredients the product can differ from time to time. I don’t like being taken for a fool as if you look at the ingredients there is not one ‘raw’ ingredient it’s just processed ingredients, all of it. No longer do I shop here.

This is the second time that I have…
This is the second time that I have received pea protein isolate that either isnt mixed properly or has been changed in some way. The powder used to be thick and full of flavour. It now doesnt thicken with water and has a very chemical taste and just goes straight through me. The product wasnt tampered with so this is obviously happening in production. I have raised a complaint for this so will see what they suggest but wont be purchasing off Bulk again. Edit. Added a star for the quick response and resolution. Thabk you.

You are correct that if the product arrived untampered with, a change in quality points directly to an issue within our production process, and we want to get to the bottom of this immediately.

Great products but some improvements can be made
I’ve ordered several products from Bulk over the past couple of years which include the creatine monohydrate powder, advanced pre-workout, vitamin D3, pure whey isolate, peanut butter, pancake mix, etc. I have enjoyed all the products and I think they do work very well towards your training goals. It would be great if Bulk can tweak its recipes for the proteins and pre-workout to exclude sweeteners and instead use natural sugars found in fruits, etc.
Another feedback would be on the pricing model that Bulk adopts. It seems that supplements are always on endless discounts. It would be wise to price them realistically, bearing in mind what their competitors’ prices are. Sales and discounts should be saved for special events such as Bulk anniversary sale, Black Friday or post Christmas sale. I’m not a big fan of the £10 voucher for every £50 spent either. Although I understand this helps to generate return purchases but perhaps have the voucher last for 2 months instead of just 1 month as that’s the general length customers restock their supplements. I forfeited my vouchers at times because I just didn’t need any restocking and they take up space in my kitchen cabinets.

Good products at fair prices
Bulk make good products at fair prices with excellent delivery.
Their whey isolate is grass fed, mixes well and tastes significantly better than many of the competition albeit at a slightly higher price.
Their complete food is also superior to some other well known brands. Easier on the stomach and with superior ingredients.

I am lactose intolerant and i have been searching for good alternative and luckily i found beef protein isolate 97 i gave it a try and it was worth it and since then i have been using beef isolate.
Thats is an excellent source if anyone is lactose intolerant.

Quite dishonest marketing/browsing function.
I wanted unflavoured whey isolate but when it came to searching for it, it wasn’t available. I was then pushed to get the vanilla flavour and then pushed again to get the 1kg.
After tasting it, it’s truly disgusting. Too sharp. I reached out to let the team know but as company policy, they can’t exchange or refund.
It’s a shame, as I’m going to look elsewhere.
