I’ve been buying from Bulk for years, going back to when they were called Bulk Powders. I regularly buy my protein powders and some supplements from them and have always been happy with the quality, especially considering the prices.

Some of my favourites are the Natural Pure Whey Isolate, Pure Whey Isolate, Clear Whey Isolate, Creatine Monohydrate Powder and Krill Oil.

This used to be my go-to brand for protein, but the customer experience has seriously gone downhill.

It feels as though Bulk is trying to squeeze as much as possible out of customers. I ordered exactly the same products in January 2026 for £72. This time, the order cost £125 – an increase of £53 – and I’m getting less product, as the standard pack has been reduced from 1kg to 900g.

They’ve also made discounts unnecessarily difficult to apply. If your basket contains one item that is eligible for a discount and another that is excluded, the coupon is rejected entirely. Previously, the discount would be applied to the eligible item while the excluded product remained at full price. The only workaround now appears to be placing separate orders – a ridiculous and inconvenient system that seems designed to discourage customers from using discounts.

I also had a frustrating experience after accidentally ordering the wrong flavour. The chatbot allowed me to cancel my first order immediately and without any problem. However, when I needed to cancel a second order after speaking to an agent about applying the discount to the items separately, I was told it couldn’t be done – even though the chatbot had just done exactly that automatically.

Finally, the flavours are very hit and miss. I bought the pistachio whey isolate and found it genuinely revolting. I managed one scoop but had to throw the rest away because it tasted so unpleasant. Given the price, that was an enormous waste of money.

After being a regular customer for years, I’ll now be looking elsewhere. I regret not comparing prices sooner – Myprotein appears to offer much better value.

Very fast delivery. Love that you have beef isolate as I can't consume whey. Very tasty product I get thr chocolate flavor. Good value for money. Overall very happy and will be a repeat customer

I have purchased the beef protein isolate powder in banana fudge for many years from this company. Always great taste, great quality, fast delivery and well packaged. At a good price 👌

Best pea protein isolate I’ve had. Seems much smoother than other suppliers and the option of vanilla flavour is a bonus. Good information about all their products. Pricing is good and checkout easy. No problems with delivery. Very satisfied.

Bulk protein is pretty good specially the isolate as it is lighter on tummy. Both banana and chocolate are good flavours. Delivery is on time, It is on higher price but so much worth it.

Great products, delivery is always good and fast! On last order I got a vanilla tasting whey protein isolate, but the bag says salted caramel. Not bothered by it, otherwise great products. I also use the super strength omega 3, creatine and electrolytes mix, and the magnesium bisglycinate.

I wanted to love Bulk. Delivery was fast, the price was fair, and if the story ended there this would be five stars. Then I tried the malted chocolate flavour in the whey isolate.

It's genuinely the worst thing I have ever tasted. I know part of this is on me — I should have gone with plain chocolate, and I definitely should not have committed to a 5kg tub of it. But no amount of personal responsibility prepares you for a flavour this bad. I don't think anyone has emotionally wounded me the way the person who approved this flavour in a taste test has.

So here's the deal: if anyone from Bulk reads this, go try the malted chocolate whey isolate yourself, then reply to this review just saying you get where I'm coming from. Do that and I'll bump this straight to 4 stars — knowing you've suffered through even a spoonful of what I've got 5kg of.

I'm quite disappointed with Bulk.

The website is very disingenuous the products show how many reviews but there is no way to look at the reviews written, if you click on read reviews nothing happens. Perhaps a bug, or by design. Who knows?

The hydro beef protein powder is the worst powder I've ever used. Terrible mixability. It clumps up and remains powdery even after using the swirl and shake technique.

The product labeled "pure" whey gives the impression that it is whey isolate, a purer form of whey. However it is whey concentrate. Overall the taste is not great too.

Plus side, delivery was fast.

Came across the Bulk website. The information about the product is clear and concise. I’d never used clear whey isolate so it was good to get the information on how it works for you and whether it can be used if not weight training. Adding product to my basket and purchasing was really simple. Really pleased with the postage, and arrived super fast. Was happy with the price, other sites for the same product were a lot more expensive. Definitely use again.

I purchased the chocolate whey isolate with zinc & magnesium capsules. I've purchased the weigh before but its different this time and tastes even better than last time. 1000% recommend the whey isolate and the tablets are great too! Had trouble sleeping but these seems to help settle me and knock me out which is great!!

After a month break from having protein powder( I usually use use MyProtein soya isolate) I started again with bulk’s soy isolate. Had a smoothie with about 13 gm of powder. It’s been hard to digest. I’m getting quite a lot of bloating

Fast delivery, great product, one of the more reasonably priced and reliable in an increasingly crowded market. The Whey Isolate offers a big, clean protein bang for your buck.

Tried Bulk after Myprotein prices became extortionate. Service was fine, delivery was in a reasonable time. The salted caramel soya isolate tastes decent though not really like salted caramel, mixes ok, and is a good price. The chocolate malted honeycomb whey isolate tastes genuinely awful.

Great services as always very prompt and given updates throughout . Can’t go wrong! I love their beef isolate chocolate peanut flavour, it’s a godsend as I can’t tolerate dairy or other vegan types of protein as they really do my stomach in. Fortunately the beef isolate is great and mixes so well compared to others, doesn’t go lumpy or gloopy and taste great as a drink of mixed in porridge . So a big thumbs up. My only gripe is the cost. It is 3 times more than other regular powders and never on offer whereas others typically are. I appreciate it’s a separate product and therefore additional time / cost involved but it’s still very frustrating in an ever climbing economy! Offers on it would be very great appreciated 🙏

Vanilla Whey Isolate. Product is great tasting and easy to mix with either water or milk. Thicker and slightly more calorific than my usual brand of Protein Powder but it makes great smoothies or as after training drink.
Ordering products was simple and delivery was pretty quick.Would buy again.

Natural Pure Whey Isolate. Delivered quicker than expected, tastes great and smooth. I'd highly recommend.

My bulk order is always dispatched and arrives quickly. There is a great selection of products, price points and pack sizes to choose from.
The whey isolate is great, I've tried several flavours and recently purchased Strawberry. Works great as a shake but I also really enjoy stirring into yogurt for a delicious dessert. I also purchased unflavoured creatine monohydrate which dissolves pretty easily.
I think a great idea would be to offer a gift message option at checkout, which could be included in the box. I recently sent a box of goodies to my brother in law for his birthday and it would be great to have something inside to let someone know who its from.

Finally a protein/whey isolate powder that tastes fantastic and is lower calorie.

My son uses Bulk and he introduced me to Bulk's Clear line, I tried the two flavours he had: apple & blackcurrant and peach iced tea. I was impressed, no discomfort/bloating and they taste fabulous. So I ordered 3 other flavours and am using the lemon iced tea currently. There are lots of flavours and bag sizes so you can dip your toe in without committing to 200 portions.

The website is really clear, well-laid out and the order arrived extremely quickly, so the service matched the product.

I was sent the wrong product, was told I would get a refund however I don’t think that has happened. I ordered the Whey Isolate and received Pure whey protein. When I asked if they could send me the correct product they said it was not possible and that it is an issue with the warehouse and they have received similar complaints and if I reorder I’ll receive the same product again. Hmm don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again!!
