Switched from my usual supplier due to an unacceptable price-hike, and after scanning a few reviews and asking my trainer I chose to try Bulk. Seems like a good product, and the delivery was very fast. I wish the whey isolate had an Informed-sport accreditation but nonetheless, fair pricing means I now have six months’ supply, so am a definite convert.

Whey Isolate…easy order, best value and tastes amazing!
I was looking around for a Whey Isolate Protein Shake that was reasonably priced and had decent reviews. There's not that many on the market so keeping the price down is tricky, but after comparing prices and reviews I went for Bulk. Got the vanilla flavour, which is by far the smoothest and nicest protein shake I've had. Almost american diner level nice! So easy order, best value and tastes amazing.

I was a loyal Bulk customer, then something changed
I was a loyal Bulk customer for around two years. Their Clear Whey Isolate had always been affordable, good quality and easy to mix.
Unfortunately, my latest order was completely different. The powder would not dissolve properly and produced a thick, lumpy drink. This was not simply a flavour I disliked, it was a texture and mixing problem that made the product unusable.
I first contacted customer services through live chat. I felt that my concern was treated as though I was simply trying to negotiate a refund. They said there was no known problem with the product and that nobody else had reported anything similar. A refund was eventually provided, but that was not what I had originally asked for. I wanted to return the powder so Bulk could examine it and explain what had gone wrong.
As I did not feel the issue had been properly understood, I followed up by email. Bulk replied that they had “thoroughly tested the product” and found no defect or wider concern. However, they had not asked me to return the bag, so it was unclear how they could have tested the specific product I had received.
They also described the issue as a matter of personal taste and suggested that I switch back to the previous version. This did not address what I had reported. My complaint was not about the flavour, it was that the powder was unusually thick, lumpy and would not mix.
I explained that I wanted to remain a customer, but Clear Whey is not cheap and I did not want to risk buying another unusable bag. Despite contacting Bulk through both live chat and email, nobody appeared interested in examining the product or properly investigating the issue.
I have now moved to ESN Clear Whey, which mixes extremely well and, in my experience, clears better than Bulk’s product did.
Bulk’s products had kept me as a customer for years, but their handling of this issue drove me away. The refund was appreciated, but the dismissive response and failure to distinguish between a flavour preference and a possible product quality issue were disappointing.

Horrible experience after using for 2+ years
My husband and I have been ordering whey isolate from Bulk for more than 2 years. This time the taste of the whey was horrible, feels like drinking chalk with powder. The colour is evidently different from what we have been having. Extremely disappointed.

I prefer this to others
Smooth, not clumpy like some other brands, and with soya milk the unflavoured hydrolysed whey isolate is pleasant to drink. Really helps keep my protein levels up, and my systolic BP is down too. Really quick delivery, and hassle free.

The delivery was quick. However, the delivery company they use, Evri, is notorious for unreliable information as to when you will receive the delivery which causes a lot of frustration. I bought the Whey Protein Isolate in the vanilla flavour - it does leave a slight aftertaste.

You get what you order - it works. If you want some pure beef isolate - they got it. If you order their zero-calorie syrups - you will get hooked on those as they are that good. I was sceptical at first but try pouring that zero calorie vanilla syrups on some protein pancakes or overnight oats and tell me you didn't have best breakfast ever.

Clear pricing. Clear information on delivery costs (free or not) before going through all the stages of ordering the item. Excellent communication with a customer throughout the delivery process via messaging, with the tracking of the order. All the information of the product is given on the web-site.
The Bulk Whey Isolate Unflavoured powder that I ordered dissolves very well with tap water in a simple hand shaker. I drink it just like that, - no aftertaste. Excellent addition to the fruit smoothies too!
