I gave a 9 month GIFT

I gave a 9 month GIFT. I did not expect it to renew. I have tried to cancel for MONTHS!! And they tell me there is a cancellation fee!

Not worth the price

This is so expensive for what you actually get in the box. Most I ended up just giving away. They tell you that you can customize the boxes, but by "customize" they mean purchase items to add to your box. They also auto-renew and they will not give your money back. You can find cuter, more affordable, same (if not better) quality items on Amazon and Buy Baby.

Delete my info

Some random person (probably a petty ex) gave my email address to these people.

Their refusal to be compliant with my request to delete my information and escalate me to a manager has resulted in this negative review.

I’m not pregnant, can’t become pregnant, and will never be pregnant.

Delete my information!!! Stop selling my information!!!!!

I was so disappointed with these boxes

I was so disappointed with these boxes. I got repeat items, items that weren’t helpful in the trimester I was in, and absolutely nothing girl themed even after entering the gender of our baby. I kept the membership so I wouldn’t be charged the outrageous cancellation fee, but was incredibly disappointed with just about every thing I received. Not one of those boxes was worth $40.

Don't even try it!

They claim the products in each box are worth way more than they are actually worth. Do not waste your money on this subscription. They also charged me for something I did not add to my box and claimed I added it online - I would have never paid $10 for a headband. I am trying to repeatedly cancel and they will not cancel my account. I have never had an experience in my life like this.

Don’t waste your money on this please…

Don’t waste your money on this please my last box I got was literally stuff I can get at the dollar store for the quality. It is over priced and they just throw random stuff into the boxes. There are other boxes worth your money! I used to get excited and over time I was dreading getting them because I knew they would be crap items. Please don’t waste your money !!

Customer Service is NON-EXISTENT

Like everyone else I bought a 9 month subscription that apparently is a lifetime subscription! I've never heard of anything so stupid and pointless as to offer 3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo... subscriptions if they never end!
And when you attempt to contact customer service about a problem they ignore you! When I emailed them about changing the due date they replied right away. But when I sent 2 emails regarding billing I got NO response. I also sent them a few emails in the past when boxes weren't showing up and NEVER received a response then either.
They will be on top of things to take your money but if you have a problem with something you're pretty much screwed.
It's a real shame because it's a neat idea and a fun gift to give. But not forever!!!
I'll never ever use this company again. It's not worth being mislead and taken advantage of. Spend your $50 on something better.

I am beyond angry Bump Box Subscription

I am beyond angry with this company. Where this was something sweet I did for my daughter is now becoming a nightmare. I scheduled a 6 month subscription and gave the due date. Why would you ask for a due date and a subscription time if you are not going to honor that. My granddaughter is now 3 months old and you are still charging me for bump boxes and mailing them out. STOP THEM NOW! I want every part of my money refunded or I will report you to the BBB. I am one angry grandma!

Caution

Bump Box offers a great product. HOWEVER, my problem began when my 6 month subscription had ended. They continued to debit my card after the subscription period and after the baby was born. After several emails requesting the services to be terminated, I called the company to complain. I was told that you have to read the FINE PRINT. No matter which subscription period you choose, they will automatically renew you for a BitsyBox once your contract expires.( I initially read through all the info on the website and never saw this statement.) They refused to refund me the additional charges (even before the box was mailed). Just be aware what you are entering into.

Overcharge

The first time that i had an issue with overcharge, after filing a review here they fixed it and refunded my money so I was happy with it. Until they again charged my account another $90 and tried saying it was a recurring charge. We have not been able to do that (recurring charge since we haven’t been on the account) and they had said they fixed it the last time. So I cancelled my subscription. They said I would get one more month and it would be canceled. It’s already been a month and they again charged my account the usual fee.

The boxes themselves are great

The boxes themselves are great, fun stuff. I had my baby early and due to not working it is just an added expense I no longer need to be paying for I have tried canceling my subscription multiple times. They took out the $49 for a box I messaged stating I no longer wished to receive this and please take the cancelation fee of $25 out of the $49 refund the rest and keep the box. They did not and told me I still needed to pay the cancelation fee. I received the box 4 days ago. I have sent multiple messages trying to cancel my subscription. They now have taken another $49 out of my account yesterday when I just received a box. I once again stated to refund minus the $25 cancelation fee and do not send me anymore boxes! I informed that I have had my baby and they said they will automatically start sending me the bitsy boxes! Like what!!! Horrible customer service! I do not want these boxes anymore how hard is it to take the $25 cancelation fee and stop my subscription!!! Getting so fed up. Please just cancel.

Shady company that puts money over people

I want to like Bump Boxes, I really do. I got my wife a 9-month subscription during pregnancy and then got a nice surprise of being auto-billed for a tenth month. Auto-renewing a pregnancy-based subscription--and one in which I intentionally chose the length of time--is so scummy. As if parents of newborns don't have enough going on. And then no apology or anything from customer service, just a predictable "see our fine print" response. Plus, the "unsubscribe" button on the emails (of which there are many) doesn't work. The page won't load.

Bump Boxes has clearly decided to milk (word choice intentional!) its one-time customers for all they're worth rather than treating its customers right so it can build a brand people will be loyal to. Shame.

9/29/21 Update: Revising from 2 stars to 1 star for the Company's half-hearted response! But it did at least illustrate my point. Avoid them.

I love the items that I got with bump…

I love the items that I got with bump box but unfortunately I am not making money anymore. I am unemployed and literally BROKE and I’ve tried to reach out numerous times for you guys to cancel my subscription and I keep getting emails that you guys are trying to process a payment and it’s declining. It’s declining because I have no money at all. Like none. I literally have zero dollars. I can’t even afford to pay for the early cancellation fee. Please please PLEASE cancel my subscription. I have no money to give you guys anymore.

Robbed me 1245.00

I just order a nine month for 317.00 on the 16th of sept. By the 22nd of sept they have took a totally of 1245.00 out of my account. When i contacted them they said that it was only 418.00 that they took when i sent them proof of the 1245.00 coming out of my account as bumpbox they stop answering my emails.. i thought this was supposed to be stress free... Now that they took my rent money i would say i am pretty full of stress. Just what a first time mom needs..... you are better off putting 25-50 dollar away and spoiling yourself once a month.

How horrible is it that they wont…

How horrible is it that they wont cancel my subscription even after calling and explaining that i miscarried at 5 months! How heart breaking do you think it is for me to get a painful heartbreaking box and pay for a box that i can not use! Its a painful time of the month when it comes and my boyfriend usually tries to get it before me and he honestly just throws it away.

Predatory scam

I bought a plan for my sister where you supposedly get 6 boxes for a certain price. Imagine my chagrin when my sister alerted me to the fact she was still receiving boxes after her baby was born. I checked the account and an additional 4 boxes were sent and I was charged for them.

Apparently, it is a lifetime subscription that you have to cancel and you may be charged $25 to do so. Why would you offer 6 month, 9 month, and 12 month boxes, when you fully intend to keep charging and sending boxes regardless of what option we choose? Why would you automatically enroll people in that subscription and then make them pay $25 to cancel when they discover what you did?

Since no one is pregnant for their entire life, why would you automatically enroll every customer for a lifetime supply of pregnancy boxes?

The boxes were a nice, if a somewhat predictable gift for my sister, but they are not worth the price and given the predatory and dishonest nature of the company, I would advise everyone to steer clear and not purchase a single thing. You may think you're buying a mug, but who knows? You may have accidentally signed up for a lifetime supply of pregnancy mugs.

I also emailed their "customer service" letting them know I was unhappy and why and was met with a clearly automated email about how their mission is to make moms lives easier and how they'd love to know why I was unhappy. So clearly they didn't actually read the first email and just have an automated email ready for every unhappy customer with no actual answers or help.

I wish I had found these reviews before I bought the boxes. Hopefully other people are saved from making the same mistake I did.

Fee for cancelling!!

If you have to cancel for any reason, they charge you a $25 cancellation fee - who does that in 2021! Appalled. Highly do not recommend.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. I bought a 6 month subscription when we learned our daughter-in-law was pregnant. The boxes were not of much value, but I thought it was a fun way for her to count down the months until the baby arrived. They made a big deal that a free breast pump was available to subscribers, but my daughter-in-law was already getting one at no cost through her insurance company. Four months after our granddaughter was born, MY HUSBAND was somehow notified that my daughter-in-law was supposedly receiving monthly boxes to the tune of nearly $50.00 a month. Little did I know that the company automatically renewed my subscription under the name of Bitsy Boxes. I did not request such a renewal. I would prefer to save the money in a college fund for my granddaughter instead of sending junk through this unethical company. When I complained, the cheerful person replied that no type of refund would be forthcoming. this company is not reputable.

Not worth the money

Not worth the money. The products you get are low quality and aren’t anything special in my opinion.
Hair ties? Makeup towel? A cheap bottle and a onesie that isn’t even sewn correctly.
Save your money.
